General Tips & Tricks

Game Controls

From the main window, click play to begin the game.
Click options to adjust display mode and to adjust music volume, ambient sound, and sound effects.
Click exit to leave the game.

There are three game modes to choose from:

  • Casual – Areas of importance glitter and hints recharge quickly.
  • Advanced – Areas do not glitter and hints take longer to recharge.
  • Hardcore – Areas do not glitter. Hints or ability to skip are not available in this mode. When the game begins you will be offered the opportunity to play with the tutorial activated.

Searching Scenes

Scan each scene with your cursor to locate interactive objects. The cursor will change into a gear cog when an action must be performed with the object. A magnifying glassindicates an area you can zoom into for closer inspection. A hand means the object can be picked up.

Hidden Objects Scenes and Puzzle Mini-games

Within the game are areas, that once activated, open a mini-game window where hidden objects are located by matching the item name on the list to the matching object which is then crossed out. Items listed in yellow lettering require multiple steps to uncover, such as frog prince. You must locate items to create the named item, such as a frog and a crown. Select one object and drag it to another object. Once the objects are combined in the correct manner, select the created object so the item is crossed off the list. Puzzle mini-games are denoted with an  and hidden object scenes with .

Additional Tips and Tricks

  • On the bottom left of the screen is a diary containing important notes and story details.
  • The menu button takes you back to the main menu.
  • Access inventory from the bottom center.
  • Get assistance with hints by clicking the hints button at the bottom right. From here you can also view your current location and available locations on the map. Free yourself from the curse by clicking on the crystal to activate it for use.
  • Watch the cursor for any changes, including a large purple arrow indicating the direction and location of an available area.
  • Once an inventory item is used it will disappear when no longer needed.

Chapter 1: Lost Archaeologists

When the game begins, look for the Hacksaw which falls into a gap. Grab the HARPOON to retrieve the Hacksaw. Access the Tacklebox and take the Anchor. Use the Anchor to chip away at the statue; now use the Hacksaw to complete the task and move forward. Take the Coral from the newspaper on the ground and the Fishing Shop Key among the broken flower pot. Break the window of the fishing shop with the Anchor to find another Coral.
Open the wooden box against the wall.

Locate the rag to clean the helmet and take the frown. Open the green book; take thepipe. Find the needles and place in the doll. Pick up voodoo doll. The paper clip is placed in inventory. Return to the Tacklebox and use the Paper Clip to open it and remove the Coral and Hook. Go to the fishing shop door.

Place the Coral into the corresponding shape on the door to begin. Each circular slot can be rotated independen of the others. Rotate each circular slot to match the shape of one of the Coral pieces. Continue until all Coral pieces (4) are placed into each slot before unlocking the door with the Fishing Shop Key and enter.

Locate the Register and take the Note and Nail. Remove the Cleaner from the shelf. TheNail will open the cabinet. Take the Hand Cream and proceed to the next room. Remove the wood from the hole in the wall to reveal a Starfish. Use the Hand Cream on the rim of the vase to reach the Starfish. Locate the Knife under the rug; go back to the previous room. Pry open the box on the shelf with the Knife to remove Insulating Tape. Repair the broken wire with the it, then press the switch to turn lights and proceed to staircase. Remove Cutters and go back outside. Use the Cutters to open the grate and remove Fish Eye.

Place the Fish Eye in the socket to remove the Starfish. Go to the chest to place the Starfish and open chest. Take the Fishing Line and go back to the cabinet to place Hook and Fishing Line on Fishing Rod. Use the Fishing Rod to retrieve the barrel and Rope from the water to use on the board at the staircase. Attach the Rope and pull before you exit through hole. Look inside bag to remove Note and Cylinder. At the window zoom to the Mallet. Go to the fountain and open the compartment to remove the blanket.

Take the broom and sweep the leaves. Take the mirror. Open the sack and take cat. Remove bird food from bag and place on the bird cage. A bird flys into view. The Octopus will be placed into inventory.

Locate the barrel; use the Knife to cut the rope to remove the blanket and Poker. From the window find the Light and use the Poker from the other window to get the Oiler. Return to the fishing shop and use the Oiler on the aquarium lock. Numbers can be changed by pressing the number cells until the sum of two cells is equal to the fixed number between them. Take the Wedge.

Locate the Axe outside, place the Wedge next to it and use the Mallet on the Wedge to remove the Axe. Use the Axe to break the chain on the door. On the shelf is a Brush for removing leaves from the gutter to access the Fuse. Go to the box; remove the broken fuse and put the Fuse in its place then press the lever; go down the ladder and place the Light in the slot.

Find the crown to place on the frog for the frog prince. Take the doll, place it on the ropeand take the hung doll. Open the box to retrieve the candy. The Blowtorch goes to inventory.

From the balcony, use the Blowtorch on the metal ladder and take the Shovel. Use the Shovel on the pile of earth to reveal the Register Handle. Return to the fish shop and place the Register Handle into Register and take the Dresser Key. Put the Dresser Key into the lock to open the drawer in the other room. Take the Pliers; return to the balcony; use Pliers to remove the boards. Take the Gloves and zoom to the left showcase; take the Empty Vase then zoom into the book and turn the pages eight times; take the Fish.

Take the Empty Vase to the window and place it below the gutter so it becomes Vase With Water. Use Vase With Water to extinguish flames in showcase and remove glass shards with Gloves to access the Glass Cutter. From the key showcase, the Glass Cuttercan be used to get the Key To Room 206. Put the Key To Room 206 in the lock.

Go to the drawer; take the knob which needs to be placed in the second drawer. Open the drawer and take the Hairbrush. Open the top drawer to find a Compass and Paper.

Take the Brush from the left board then zoom to globe. Pay attention to the numbered symbols when you turn it four times. The numbers are 7, 5, 3, and 1. Access the bookshelf and take the Fish. Enter 7-5-3-1-4 to open the suitcase and take the Water Column Key. Locate the water column and place the Water Column Key into the slot to retrieve the Cylinder.

Go back down the ladder and remove the plant on the left wall four times before using the Cleaner and Brush on the plate. Put both Fish into the appropriate slots and take theOctopus, zoom into the panel to add the Cylinders. Take the Octopus and go back up the ladder.

Set each image on the rollers by pressing them to turn until they match the hints from the paper notes.

Place all the Octopus into the box.

Arrange the Octopus on the grid until they are equal to each row and columns number. Take the Notes and Dagger. Go up ladder; place Notes on floor then zoom to lock and use the Dagger to open it. Pull the paper and take the Key which can now be placed into the lock.

Chapter 2: In Darkness

Remove the Stone from the floor before locating debris. Remove leaves from the debris three times and take the Grindstone. Go to the window; take the Wrench and Blunt Machete then turn left. Take Cheese from the box, go to the diving helmet and use theWrench on it to take the Pearl. Go to the stairs and give the Cheese to the mouse to get to the Handle to use on the door. Take the Chain from the cupboard and the Vise Handle from the Chainsaw. Locate the Metal Tube on the support beam. Place the Vise Handle into the vice’s opening and take the Screwdriver to remove the screws from the cupboard where you will find Gasoline. Put the Chain and Gasoline on the Chainsaw.

Plug in the Grindstone and use the Blunt Machete on it, creating a Sharp Machete. The Chainsaw can now be used to saw through the support beam. Move ladder to the other opening and go up. Take the Oar then proceed to the desk; take the Weight. Open the door.

Take the red pencil and use it on the notepad to take 25. Create a unicorn by placing thehorn on the horse. Turn books pages twice and take the pumpkinAir Pump placed into inventory.

Use the Sharp Machete on the net and take the Acid. Use the Metal Tube to join the two parts of the paddle to create an Oar. Locate the gate and use Acid on the padlock. Take the Pearl from the fountain and then break the fountain with the Stone to acquire another Pearl. Read the book on the bench and take the Scissors. Find the left showcase and put both Pearls in the casket to retrieve the Stone Token. Go to the other showcase; open the rubber roll and cut with Scissors, creating a Rubber Patch.
Locate boards beneath bell and use the Stone Token on the board and match pairs of stones until all have been marked active.

Take the Crystal. There is Glue on a stone bench you; take it before zooming to the man for another Crystal. Take the map and Sewer Key from the bag before proceeding to the ladder. Pour Glue on the gap in the rubber boats and seal it with the Rubber Patch. Place Oars inside boat.

Chapter 3: Hope

Take the Corkscrew and Pliers from the crate. Locate the barrel and remove the cork with the Corkscrew then place the Empty Oiler below the liquid before removing it. Take the File from the skeletons hand. Use the Oileron the RUSTED LOCK before using the Sewer Key to open it.

Press the arrow buttons to move the gears to solve the puzzle. The left column of buttons should be considered A, B, C, and D ordered from top to bottom. The right column of buttons should be considered E, F, G, and H ordered from top to bottom. The solution is as follows:

1. G, F, G, C, G, E, C, H, H, and E.
2. B, C, B, E, H, F, Cx2, E, H, F, B, D, and G.
3. F, A, E, F, D, A, G, F, D, C, A, H, D, G, A, C, F, B, H, Fx2, A, B, H, C, D, F, E, A, D, A, and D.
4. C, D, A, C, A, and F.

Remove the rag to access the lightening. Take the wings and place on the horse creating Pegasus. Put the fly on cobweb and take spider. The Eagle will be placed in inventory.

Locate the rock and take the Hex Key before moving to the wagon where you will find a Wooden Handle. Remove the bolts on the platform with the Hex Key and the Pliers to remove the nail. Remove the curtain and go to the debris and place the Eagle into the slot then combine the Wooden Handle with the Pick Axe head. Take the RodPick Axe, andGears and proceed to the case where you will find the LIST. Find the steel cable and use the File to cut it; zoom to platform and add Gears. Use the Rod to remove the rock from the skeletons hand and retrieve the Scraper to remove the moss. Use the Pick Axe to remove the stones and take the Lighter.

Go to the crate and enter the code 4-6-8-3 to open the lock and take the Fuse. Go to the wagon and place the Fuse on the gunpowder and use the Lighter on the Fuse. Place a Crystal in the slot of the large door.

Connect the central crystal to the four auxiliary crystals and press the parts of the circle surrounding the central crystal can be rotated by pressing them.

The mural contains the Big Fish Key which is used on the case past the door to the right. Place the Big Fish Key in lock and take Crystal. Exit and go through the left door to the platform where you will place a Crystal on the board.

Keep pressing a crystal to direct laser, but avoid moving black obstacles. If an obstacle comes close to the laser, stop pressing the crystal momentarily. Connect all seven crystals to complete the puzzle; activate the crystal by pressing it.

Take Trident and Amulet Half from the chest and walk down to go through the door on the right. Press your crystal to remove the curse. Place the Amulet Half in the statue and take the Square Wrench before exiting through the door on the right. Use the Square Wrench on the valve and take the Valve. Proceed to ladder and climb up. Remove the curse with your crystal. Put the Valve on the device in the fountain and turn it to get the Sea Horse. Go up the ladder, turn right and enter the door to the right. Place the LIST next to scrap of paper on the desk and remember the symbols and numbers revealed before heading down the ladder. Zoom to the statue and locate the small compartment to add Trident and take the Stethoscope. Go down the ladder and use the Stethoscope on the safe to open it. Take the Weight and go back up the ladder. Place the Sea Horse into the slot on the lower part of the clock and add both Weight.

Chapter 4: Swamp of Sorrows

Take the Torch from the compartment and take the Step from the wall to the right. Locate the empty torch holder and take the Hammer before placing Torch. Push all four torches in order before zooming to the compartment.

Press the moving metal stakes and prevent them from reaching the gear.

Take the knife, cut open the sack, and take the coffee. Use the blue powder on the glass of water to create blue water. Place the sand in the bowl and take the gold. The Matchesgo to inventory.

Go to the water; take the Wooden Puzzle Piece; proceed to the staircase where you will remove three stones that reveal Nails and a Metal Lizard. Take the Lamp. Add the Step to the tree ladder, put the Nails into the Step and use the Hammer to secure the Step. Access the top of the tree and place the Lamp in the hole. Light the Lamp with Matches and place the Handle into the slot on the door. Open the door and locate the crate containing Tweezers and retrieve the Metal Lizard from the window. Take the Screws and go to the shelf for the Tin Can. Use the Tweezers on the crack in the wall to extricate the Wooden Puzzle Piece. Return to the tree top and add them to the board.

Swap the pieces to recreate the dragon picture. Correctly placed pieces will remain fixed. Use your crystal to charge it then press it to remove the curse. Proceed until you find a statue on your left where you will add the Metal Lizards.

Rotate the three stone circles until the colors of the stone circle matches the Metal Lizards.

Take the Whip and aim it at Bolt Cutter in the water. Use the Bolt Cutter to cut the chain. Remove the Wheel from the water; go to ladder and place Wheel on it. Take the Hoe from the chest and go to the lake. Place the Tin Can in the water to create Tin Can With Water. Water the soil at the house then use the Hoe to locate the Small Key. Find the small chest and place the Small Key into the lock to open it and take the Knife Switch. Put the Knife Switch into the slot of the panel and pull the lever.

To solve this puzzle press levers A-F in the following sequence: B, Ax2, B, D, C, Dx2, F, Ex2, and Fx2. Press the levers until the flasks are filled according to the red marking.

Take the Circular Saw and use it to remove the grid from the vent to access the Saw Handle. Locate the tree trunk and put the Saw Handle on the blade before placingScrews in slots. Use the Screwdriver to tighten the screws and take the Saw. Use the Saw to remove the board from the door.

Paint the butterfly with blue paint and take blue butterfly. Open the oven, take thehorseshoe then remove curtain and take bell. The Plank will go into inventory.

Put down the Board to cross the swamp and access the statue on your right.

To solve this puzzle press the arrows A-L in the following order: G, B, J, C, J, K(x2), D(x2), F(x3), L(x2), Ax2, H, B, I, C, J, D, F, L(x2), G(x3), I, C, J, D, F(x2), and L(x2).

Use your crystal to charge it; proceed to the chest and press both switches to take the SUN. Press your crystal to remove the curse. Take the Sketch from the wheelbarrow and walk down to your left where you will need to use your crystal to remove the curse again. Take the Coal and Cloud Charms from the oven and walk down five times to the statue. Place the SunSketch, and Cloud Charms on the plate.

Move puzzle pieces around by pressing them until picture matches Sketch. Take the Bridge Key and place it in the lock on the bridge then turn right.

Chapter 5: Last Step

Take the Wooden Octopus and the Radio from the window and open the door where you will find a staircase. Remove the boards and take the Wooden Octopus. The radio contains a Circular Puzzle Piece you will need before placing the Radio on the radio.

Press the power switch and set the levers and handles so the pointer reaches the number 5.

Take the Wire and go to the poster where you will use the Coal on it. Remember the sequence of signs. Use the Wire on the window to open it and retrieve the Wooden Eye. Place the Wooden Eye into the statues slot and take the Stone Tooth. Place the Stone Tooth in the slot on top of the door.

Swap the runes until they match the posters. Once completed, turn left and take theBrush from the red mask; locate the window to remove the Empty Jar and King then remove the curtain.

Take cord, place on curtain; take the quiver. Take axe; use on stone wall to access treble clef. Press scroll to take yin and yangMagnet added to inventory.

Locate a broken glass container to place Magnet in; take the Earring. On the shelf, use the Brush to remove cobwebs and take the Wooden Ring before proceeding to your left. Place the Earring on the red mask and take the Knight. Place the Wooden Ring on the mask to the right and turn the Wooden Ring three times so the King appears. Locate the chest and place the KingKnight and Sun into the empty compartments.

Swap the statues so each statue is in the correct compartment.

Remove blanket and take Octopus that will be placed on a tiny plate to receive the Key. Go to the staircase and put the Key into the lock; take the Slingshot. Use the Slingshot on the window and take the Mermaid Statue. Go back to the window and place Mermaid Statue on the casket then open it and take the Stone Horn. Place the Stone Horn into the slot of the stone statue and take the Wooden Octopus. Go to the window again and add the three Wooden Octopus to the board.

Swap and rotate the octopus pictures until it creates a new picture.
Take the Rope.

Go to the hillside and put the Rope on the branch and climb down. Find the mural and take the Fish. Place the Fish in the slot of the window and take the Circular Puzzle Piece before climbing down the Rope. Place the Circular Puzzle Pieces on the mural.

Swap puzzle pieces to recreate the picture.

Move the beam and take the hand print. Place the moon, next to the sun and create aneclipse. Open the trophy and take the ballerina. Take the Glass.

Go to the window and use the Glass to cut the seams of the teddy bear and take the Button before climbing down the rope. Locate the entrance and add Button to the board.

Select the pictures by pressing the related button; make sure the lever is on the right side of the entrance. Once solved, go to the door and zoom to the chest where to find a Cannon Handle.

Go to the fountain and press the hook to reveal the Wooden Carving and Domino. Next, zoom to cannon then to the ship where you will put down the Empty Jar. Place the Wooden Carving in the Empty Jar to get Jar With Termites. Take the Jar With Termites to the window and place it on the boards and take the Hook.

Climb down the rope and go to the fountain where you will combine the Hook with theChain that you can now take. Go to the cannon; place the Cannon Handle and Chain on cannon. Go to the deck and climb the Chain; turn the skeleton and take the Skull Token. Take the Knob from the chest and place it on the drawer located on the small table then open the drawer; take the Domino and Hook. Zoom to the large door then chest, place the Skull Token in the slot and take the Rifle Scope.

Go to the cannon and then ship again; use the Hook on the Domino. Climb up the chain to access the skull panel where you will place the Dominoes.

Place the dominoes so touching sides match and take the Bullets.

Zoom to the chest where you will locate a Rifle. Place the Rifle Scope and Bullets on the Rifle to create a Sniper Rifle. Go to the cannon and fire on the barrels of gunpowder with the Sniper Rifle; then shoot the cannon at the barrels of gunpowder.

Place the feather on hat and take plumed hat. Take skull flag, place it on ship, and takepirate ship. Put arrow on crossbow and take loaded crossbowShackles go to inventory.

Climb up the chain to the jaws; put the Shackles in the jaws and take the Octopus; enter the ship before proceeding to remove the skeletons hands. Place the Octopus in the slot.

The puzzle will be solved once the circular plates create a meaningful pattern.

Take the Captains Key and climb up the chain. Go to the skeleton and put the Captains Key in the lock to retrieve Trident. Go to the large door and place Trident in lock.

Chapter 6: Ancient God

Go to steps, take the Stick and Sword prior to entering the ship. You will use the Stick on the BARREL and retrieve the Spike. Locate the large crystal and use the Sword on the Rope and take the Crowbar. Go through the door and use it to get a Star from the shell. Enter the ship again and find the large crystal that contains a slot for the Star.

To solve the puzzle, move the stars around until the lines no longer intersect.

Charge your crystal, climb the chain and use the crystal to remove the curse. Go to the cage; open it and take two Spikes. Remove the curse with your crystal when you reach the statue. Put both Spikes into the slots of the left shell; take the Kraken’s Horn. Use your crystal and take Poseidon’s Trident. Use the Kraken’s Horn on the creature and take pride in defeating the Kraken.
