Here are a few examples on how to turn simple (healthy) food into a delicious beastly experience!<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Cute, fun and surprising recipes for beastly good food<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h4><strong>Snail oranges \u2013 Taking time for good health<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.zylom.com\/nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/snailorange-e1423580589998.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-1405 \" src=\"http:\/\/www.zylom.com\/nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/snailorange-e1423580589998-292x300.jpg\" alt=\"sinaasappel\" width=\"220\" height=\"226\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Roll the orange on a table a few times to loosen the skin.<\/li>\n<li>Use a knife to carve a long stripe side-ways across the orange (this will be the body of your snail).<\/li>\n<li>Peel off the rest of the skin.<\/li>\n<li>For a nice touch, loosen both ends of the peel that are still attached to the orange.<\/li>\n<li>Use a pen to draw a mouth and eyes on one of these ends.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It might take a little longer than usual, but isn\u2019t that the cutest vitamin bomb you\u2019ve ever seen?!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>8-legged hotdogs<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Hotdogs have always been a succesful treat, and how could you say \u201cno\u201d to this little creature? This 8-legged hotdog is simply irresistable!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.zylom.com\/nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/hotdogoctopus.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1404 \" src=\"http:\/\/www.zylom.com\/nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/hotdogoctopus-300x253.jpg\" alt=\"octohotdog\" width=\"293\" height=\"248\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cook\/Grill some hotdogs.<\/li>\n<li>Cut one end of a hotdog lengthways through the middle until there is only a thumb-length of the hotdog left whole.<\/li>\n<li>Make 3 more such incisions so that one end of the hotdog is cut into 8 equal parts.<\/li>\n<li>Carefully spread the \u201clegs\u201d so the uncut part of the hotdog stands upright.<\/li>\n<li>Use a knife or a food decoration pen to draw a mouth and eyes on the uncut part of the hotdog, and voil\u00e0!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Grape caterpillars &#8211; The everlasting fruit snack<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.zylom.com\/nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/grape-caterpillars-e1423579288641.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-1403 \" src=\"http:\/\/www.zylom.com\/nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/grape-caterpillars-e1423579288641-211x300.png\" alt=\"grape caterpillars\" width=\"179\" height=\"254\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nDo you have trouble getting your kids to eat fruit? These lovely long bugs make healthy eating a pleasure.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use wooden skewers as the basis for this healthy snack.<\/li>\n<li>Thread grapes side-ways onto the skewers untill only a small piece is left free (this makes it easy to hold the fruit-snack).<\/li>\n<li>Use a food decoration pen to draw eyes on the grape at the very end of the skewer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These caterpillars get shorter and shorter with every bite. It\u2019s almost a shame to eat them!<br \/>\nTip: Try this with blueberries or small strawberries too.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Cupcakes + Oreo\u2019s + M&amp;M\u2019s = Wise little owls<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Ok. These are far from healthy, but they\u2019re tasty, fun and beastly good.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.zylom.com\/nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/cupcakeowls-e1423581322528.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1402 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.zylom.com\/nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/cupcakeowls-e1423581322528-300x281.jpg\" alt=\"cup cake owls\" width=\"300\" height=\"281\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bake\/buy cupcakes.<\/li>\n<li>Cover the cupcakes in chocolate spread.<\/li>\n<li>Separate the two sides of the Oreo cookies and keep the sides with the white filling still on. Eat the other halves!<\/li>\n<li>Place two Oreo halves on every cupcake.<\/li>\n<li>Finish up your owl cupcakes with brown and orange M&amp;M\u2019s.<br \/>\nPress brown M&amp;M\u2019s in the white Oreo filling and press an orange M&amp;M side-ways in the chocolate spread to make the beak.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Woot-woot! This is so good! We think it\u2019s a very wise treat to make once in a while.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Jello worms &#8211; The perfect ghoulish-party treat<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.zylom.com\/nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/jelloworms-e1423580040595.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-1409 \" src=\"http:\/\/www.zylom.com\/nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/jelloworms-e1423580040595-258x300.jpg\" alt=\"jelloworms\" width=\"269\" height=\"313\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Take some straws and extend the bendable part out.<\/li>\n<li>Bundle them in a container, can or cardboard box (anything that keeps them upright).<\/li>\n<li>Make sure they are tightly bundled by wrapping a rubber band around them.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare the jello according to the jello\/gelatin package instructions.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the mixture into the bundle of straws and let it set until the jello is firm.<\/li>\n<li>Hold the straws over warm water and the jello worms will slip right out.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Now this might not look very appealing, but it tastes great. Plus, seeing your friend\u2019s faces when you serve this snack is definitely worth it!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Banana Penguin Popsicles<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Cute! But more importantly, extremely tasty. Because of the perfect combination of banana and chocolate, eating fruit has never been more of a delight!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.zylom.com\/nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/bananapenguins.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1401 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.zylom.com\/nl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/bananapenguins-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"banana penguins\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Melt chocolate \u2018au bain-marie\u2019 (in a bowl above boiling water).<\/li>\n<li>Cut a few orange M&amp;M\u2019s in half.\/li&gt;<\/li>\n<li>Cut a banana in half and dip the uncut end of the banana in the chocolate. Don\u2019t forget to put a little of the melted chocolate just above the cut end of the banana.<\/li>\n<li>Press the half M&amp;M\u2019s in the melted chocolate to make the penguin\u2019s beak and feet (make sure to have your M&amp;M\u2019s ready because the chocolate still needs to be soft!).<\/li>\n<li>Draw eyes with a food decoration pen and it\u2019s done!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For a more arctic experience, you could even put the bananas in the fridge for a while. Frosty food fun!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Preparing these treats is a true delight, but eating them is even better!<br \/>\nDid you give it a try?
