On January 4, 1809, Louis Braille was born. As a child he lost his sight in an accident. This fact, however, did not hinder him from excelling at school as he mastered his blindness and developed Braille when he was only 15 years old. Braille is so successful that it’s still used as a form of reading by the visually impaired to this day. Experienced Braille readers have no trouble in reading as fast as any person with full sight. Most of us have had no experience with Braille, and are therefore unfamiliar with the Braille Alphabet. This is why you can use this Braille Translator to convert your own name to Braille.
