I particularly like Mahjong games where there are complicated patterns to make the matches more difficult, which exercises the brain. Although there are lots of different forms here to keep you interested, I really don't enjoy playing against a clock (seen or unseen). I also like to know the rules before the game starts, not to have to figure it out as I go. But that being said, this game is different. I really liked the facts you were given about the cities you "visited" on each level.

I simply loved "World's Greatest Places Mahjong" and I just love this one too. All of the different mahjong games are great and this one even has different ones than Greatest Places. It doesn't get boring at all because the games change every screen. I normally play HOGs and mahjong is a nice change for me, every now and then. I'm so glad I found something different.

I had kind of given up on trying mahjong games for awhile because they all seemed to be the same. But I'm so glad I didn't overlook this one. The cityscapes just serve as a backdrop; they aren't part of the game play. Although I must admit to being fascinated by the stylized New York City gangster. But I was even more intrigued by the variations on mahjong that you play, including "finding the tile without a pair," "mahjong solitaire," and "matching across a wall." They were easy to learn (in seconds), and so much fun to play compared to straight mahjong level after level. And I really loved the beautiful mahjong tiles, a mix of traditional and contemporary graphics. If you've played other mahjong games, you know that good-looking tiles aren't easy to find. If you like mahjong, don't pass this by. If you haven't tried mahjong, this is a great game for your first experience.

I have played several Mahjong games; however, after just a couple of times playing I get bored and the game becomes old. Greatest Cities however offers various games you can play and several levels some quite easy, some a little more difficult. It is fun, relaxing, and highly addictive. Would recommend this to anyone who likes the Mahjong series and is looking for something different.
