This is the first Monument Builders game I've played, so I can't compare it to any others, but I will say that I am experienced in these types of games where fast clicking isn't as important as sequencing your plays, and this one is hard! it isn't obvious what order things need to be done, and there are a lot of options to choose from. You aren't dictated as to what building needs to be on what site, or to what level each building needs to be, and it makes a huge difference in how you gather the resources to achieve your goals. However, anything you can build you can also tear down, and you can always get a copper level and move on. Getting Silver level is more challenging, and Gold is really really hard. You can't click ahead, either. Now, having said that, I enjoyed the game enough to play levels 10-12 times just to improve my score, so to me, that is a really fun game. The animations are pleasant, not distracting, and it isn't too childish. If you like games like Build-a-lot or Roads to Rome, you will like this one, too.

This is a poor second when compared to a TM game like The Great Wall of China. This game had about two seconds of explanation, and that was it. It was easy enough to figure out how to erect buildings, but I'm not a seasoned TM player, and I never did figure out how to replenish the money. Additionally, there was little independent movement. While you did have to get your workers to chop down the trees, the delivery wagons showed up automatically, as did wagons for the coal and other resources. There was little planning necessary; all you had to do was click on the wagons when they popped up, and they delivered their goods automatically. There didn't seem to be any opportunity to actually plan your activities, and without explanations I couldn't see what else to do. Perhaps a player more familiar with TM games will have better luck.

really enjoy these games. while the gameplay is the same as in the other Monument Builders games( gather resources to build scaffolds and girders, repair roads, tear down ruins), the facts about the Titanic are very interesting. love the music, too.

This is the latest edition of the "Monument Builders" series and this time you're building the Titanic. It's a TM game managing and collecting resources needed to build the Titanic. You have your little workers that do the clearing of the roads and they're also constructing buildings that provide more resources. Actually 'collecting' the resources is a little different because after a building produces the item you're collecting, instead of sending a worker to pick it up, the product instantly turns into a horse and carriage (carrying the product) and you just click on the horse and it automatically walks towards it's destination. It's kinda cool cuz it's a little different than using your workers for EVERY task. So there's a lot of clicking going on with all the workers clearing and constructing and then the clicking on all the horses to take the resources back to camp. It sounds confusing but it's really not. You just gotta pay attention. ;) I found that the directions explained everything well enough and if you give it a few levels to get used to the game-play, then you'll probably find yourself enjoying this game too. :) Don't give up in the beginning cuz it's a little different. Play through a few levels before you decide what you think. It surprised me that way and I'm happy I didn't give up on it cuz it turned out to be refreshing and enjoyable! And there's more games in this series to enjoy too! Getting Gold on every level can be quite challenging but fun! You definitely need to use strategy to win some of these levels. You totally have to think a little bit to plan out some of your moves. You can't really stack up your actions in a queue here but it's not really a big deal with this game. Between levels, there's also interesting tidbits and facts about the Titanic and it's construction. I actually LEARNED quite a few cool things about the Titanic while playing this game! LoL! But that's one of the perks to these "Monument Builders" games, you learn something awesome about History while playing a game. :) Very cool, Indeed. The graphics are colorful and smooth and the music is enchanting (Irish sounding, if I'm not mistaken) and the environment is relaxing and enjoyable. I like watching the little men (in between levels) working on the Titanic and watching it come to life piece by piece. I found this game to be very entertaining, a bit educating and sometimes challenging. It's kid friendly (on the older side of "kid") & has re-playability. The only thing I didn't like about the game (and it's only a small thing) is that somebody didn't proof read and edit the storyline & directions well enough because some of the words are smooshed together without spaces and at first you get a bit confused cuz you don't recognize the strange smooshed up word until you realize that it isn't some weird long word but TWO regular words that are stuck together when they shouldn't be. But it's not a big deal because you can still play the game just fine. I just subtract a star for the programmers not making sure the typos & grammar problems were fixed before release. But besides that, it's a great game & a value for your money. 2 Thumbs up! Enjoy!
