All I really wanted for Christmas was another good TD game....and Gamehouse came through. I loved Garden Rescue and all of the levels involved....makes for some very good replay. I love this Christmas version, as well. It is full of the same types of enemy bugs, except they are wrapped up in their winter woolies...and can be just a difficult to conquer. You have to think a bit, especially on some levels, when the bugs get just a bit tougher and can come through in two armies. All in all, this is a great TD game, with many different levels that you can play easy, medium or very hard. Enjoy the holiday season and relax with this fun game!

Garden Rescue is a charming and challenging tower defense game; the Christmas edition is basically the same, but with a winter/Christmas theme. Instead of protecting your garden from an insect invasion, you are protecting your Christmas trees from mean (but cute) bugs dressed in scarves and socks and wool hats. The game begins easily and over the course of the 30 levels becomes quite challenging. You defend your garden with peas and corn and cactus plants, as well as various traps that are dropped when insects are exterminated. Overall, the game is engaging, with cute graphics and good gameplay.

I agree with a previous reviewer that Garden Defense is MUCH better. This game is too slow and there doesn't seem to be much strategy. Garden Defense is one of my favourite GameHouse games, but I stopped playing this after only half an hour. Disappointing.

This version is better than the original! The first thing that impressed me, was the better musical backgrounds. Some of the scores are peppy and snappy. The second thing that was wonderful are the powerups. Not only are there more of them, but also more variety, perfectly suited to knock out those pesky bugs. Also love the fact of random money drops from the bugs. These can really help at the right moment, right time. Definite vast improvements over the original (which is still enjoyable, but had some issues with it). Fun for all age groups, and doesn't matter what gender you are :)
