I love this game and yes I played with the lights off and the sound up and it definately adds to the game. I about jumped out of my skin after I cleaned that window off. It is challenging but not over the top, loved the ending and the bonus chapter offered by the platinum version. The strategy guide was also a great help. Hidden objects were not too easy or too hard. Good replay as object selection changes in HO scenes. Definate no no for kids, took me about 3 1/2 hours to finish. Flows very nicely and gives you an inside look at the mind of a mulitple personality disorder in a twisted sort of way. Would love more like this.

Nice long game that kept me wanting more. I was so engaged that I played it in one sitting. My four year old granddaughter played quite a bit of the game with me. It was dark, but not too much so. The storyline was so engaging that she was still asking me the next morning if we saved the little girl. There was a little bit too much running back and forth between scenes for my taste, but it was not so much so that I would deduct points for it. I loved the ending, great twist. I would absolutly recommed this game for purchase.

I think that this was entertaining and fun to play. It was worth buying. The story was okay and the HO was fun and it was fun to go from room to room to get all of the clues. Great game for a relaxing Sunday afternoon.

This game is completely engaging as you get swept up in trying to figure out exactly what happened in this abandoned clinic. A few twists and turns here and there, and definitely some creepy surprises, makes this one perfect to play in the dark.

The mini-games are often very challenging, but when mixed with the somewhat relaxing hidden object games, the overall game is quite fun. Very strange plot line, with eerie background sounds. The game crashed about 6 times, which is frustrating for a platinum edition, but maybe it was due to the the quality of my download. I will be playing this again in the future.

I loved the concept of the game, the intensity at times, and sometimes just silly tasks, however this is the first game that actually made me jump! I did play with the sound and in the dark as well. I was so involved I finished it in one sitting, it just hooks you in and keeps you wanting more. I loved it from start to finish. The extra chapter was worth the purchase for sure. This is one I will replay as well. It makes sense in the end as well too. The human mind such a complicated thing.

wow...this game is intense. i love that the makers suggest playing it in the dark. well that's what i did, & it was scary. i kept looking around in the room. the voices of the characters are perfect. the man is sooooooo creepy. the music is very enhancing. the HOG scenes are detailed & challenging enuf. i played the casual version. the hints button recharged quickly. i liked having it available if i needed it. it was weird to go back to a previous scene only to find it was a different place altogether. it made u very much a part of the lead's hallucinations. i liked the details in the scenes. the way the girls hair blew in the wind. the rats running by in the background. an all around terrific HOG. can't wait to see how this one ends...oh, yea. the telephone HOG is simply AWESOME. i just stared at it for a while. very detailed. AMAZING....

The graphic is poor, and it is irritating that every time you find an item it is shown in a small window which you have to close. I only played it for the trial hour but that was more than enough.

This is a dark, intriguing story line...NOT kid friendly! This game will NOT appeal to those folks who don't like dark graphics or dark hidden objects. If you enjoy creepy mysteries than this game is for you! There's not much brightness as you travel throughout the rooms but that sets the tone to this story. There is the ever presence of a crow that is always lurking in each room you explore as you gain evidence to this mystery. Than there is this eerie voice & shadow that taunts you when you least expect it...creepier! There is no map to follow; thus you need to LOOK EVERYWHERE for hidden objects & use deductive thinking to solve tasks. Thank goodness the hint button refreshes quickly because you are definitely on your own. Collect all the evidence & check your objectives often in the journal to be successful throughout this game. I will own this game when the standard version is available because I enjoy this creepy, intriguing mystery. I would rate White Haven Mysteries a 4.5. Give it a try!

This game had me rolling, wanting more and in a hurry to find out as much as I could in my 1 hour trial. The graphics/art are pretty good. Things are of course dark, so to be spooky. You are basicly chasing this little girl that tells you she and now you can't ever leave, cuz the scary spooky doctor wants to try his crazy medical expirements on you now. The hospital has been abandon for years, so its real dirty and dark, very run down. The doctor is loony. The little girl is a ghost, I think. There is a journal for you to use, if you get stuck. It see to be a good game for the time I played. Just might have to purchase it, to see what happens.

I loved this game, loved the story line, graphics were nice and keeps you sucked in. I couldn't stop playing till i finished the game. This is another that has you find a item and you have to go back to a spot to use the item to proceed through the game. I personally love these games can't get enough of them , and props to the makers this was a good one:D

This was a good game. I'm not a fan of the spiritual creepy games, so this was was a nice change yet still spooky. I didn't think that the puzzles were all that hard, but I rather liked that I could solve them. There was only one I skipped. The story was very engaging and the things you had to do were very creative. If you enjoyed the free trial, give it a try. It's long enough to make it worth buying and very interesting.

This is my first review. Have played and purchased some amazing games at GH. I JUST HAD TO REVIEW THIS ONE!!! This game is so boring!!! I agree it's not kid friendly, very spooky. Rather than spooky music you get these whispering sounds. Started off with the trial, it was engaging at first so I bought it to see where it went. What with the 5 star reviews and everything!! What a let down. It has you running all over the place collecting these objects only to use them to obtain something like a screwdriver or what have you. An abundance of HO scenes but they are sooo easy. No map. If it weren't for the hint button, which recharges very quickly, I wouldn't have known where to go next!!! It's a long game and I kept waiting for it to take off and it just never did!!! GH has a lot of great HOGS but for me this just wasn't one of them.

If you like HO's mixed with puzzles, this is not really the game for you. A lot of HO scenes and what you thought could have been a puzzle, was solved for you. There needed to be a directional map because if you had left the game and come back to it, you couldn't remember where everything was that you needed to revisit. A plus side was that at least you were notified that your area was cleared. A few of the word descriptions for some of the items in the HOs was a bit dodgy, for example a "spade" was actually a trowel. Not a very long game considering some of the more lengthier ones I've played.

This game is not what everyone has it cracked up to be. The graphics are ok. I'm not sure why they say play it in the dark. It didn't matter. This game barely kept my attention. I played it and kept playing hoping to get to the creepy part, but it never came. The ending was very abrupt as well. All in all i was very unhappy with the whole experience. Do not buy this game. It is a waste of money.

To be honest, I was somewhat disappointed with this game. The graphics are okay, although I thought the little girl looked more like a woman with a girl's body. The story was interesting up till the ending which I think I must have missed something in the dialogue because I didn't quite understand what actually happened. The game itself plods along a little bit too slowly with very few actions taken in the various rooms and areas. A lot of back and forth, find one object and go back to put it in place and then off to another area to place another object and so on. Many of the actions needed to progress weren't logical and so difficult to figure out. It did take a while to play tho and it is worth playing, just not as good as most others in this genre of HO games.

I thought the graphics were excellent and HO were good, however, the puzzles were way too easy. The hint button was useful to get you on track to where you needed to go next, but I can't say it was a challenging game compared to others that I have played.

This is IMHO one of the better games offered in the last six months. Other than short, I found nothing that I did not like about this game. It is challenging, but not too hard to solve with out reliance on the hint function. I enjoyed this game very much. have fun!
