i am stuck in the woods by the Fallen tree. there is not strategy guide to help, and all the hidden object scenes, make the game boring. the map is helpFul.

I liked the game however I think the ending could have been better. Was a little confused on the map but once I figured out that I could click on it and it would reveal where hos were I enjoyed the game much better. Was a little short as we finished it in less than and hour and a half. Wasn't to scary so depending on the maturity of the kid..

This game was great all around. When you get to the end you are automatically in the bonus chapter. There's an arcade like game do not skip it or you will not get the coin you need to open the cupboard. This is not a scary game at all so no jumpy nerves.

Just when I thought it was shaping up to be a great game, I got stuck with the wolf statue in the main foyer and the tree trunk in the middle of the road. Those are the only 2 things left I can possibly do and nothing in my inventory works for them so I cant move forward in the game at all. Not sure if its me or a game issue. The only hints are for the mini games so thats not an option. If its just me, please someone help me so I can finish the game!

I found this game to be very poorly done. Graphics are dark and grainy. Hidden objects small and scenes also dark. Mini games same thing I've seen a million times before. Nothing special at all about this game. I played for about an hour then quit out of boredom.

Very well done. I was impressed. It was right up my alley. The ending felt a little abrupt but overall a really great game!

This game has you constantly running to the forum for help. There is no walkthrough, therefore, you have to wait and see who can help and luckily there were alot in the same situation. The game is addicting though, bc if youa re like me, you'll feel a challenge. I did not like how it ended. You don't find out a secret like hers' and say ladidada and on your merry way. The game has a huge glitch on the bonus chapter. You CANNOT skip the mini game or else you WONT finish the bonus chapter. I had to like some other play the game again, and only to find out it was absurd. The game had potential, but it was very challenging. Good luck. It was more frustrating than fun.

Nice game that included a decent storyline that left me bummed out it ended so quickly. Occasionally, I got stuck but that was good 'cause it kept me thinking. Love having a map with cues to what I need to do or have missed. HOG's were decent but became easy once I knew what things were new to the picture. Wished the ending had been done better but then I say that about 9/10 of them. I don't consider this the best of the best because it didn't have the incredible graphics & vivid colors some of them have but I don't consider it anywhere the worst because it had most of the elements I liked.

Where do I begin? I chose the "expert" setting... & was off to a very poor excuse of a game. The girl's voice (which is slow as molasses while reading the narrative -- with only occasional mediocre-to-poorly drawn pictures used to describe her story) was annoying enough for me to have removed the sound after 5 minutes. The story is exhaustingly unoriginal, the H/O scenes are just plain annoying -- the objects to find are extremely obvious as they are drawn crisply onto an otherwise muted setting - not to mention the ridiculous frequency of re-visiting those same scenes in an unnatural way over and over to where it becomes more of a "find the differences" game (with other new objects added on to the old muted-looking pile) rather than a true H/O scene. The mini-games are incredibly easy, unoriginal & short; the rooms & graphics are more than a little uninteresting... but the part I finally had to stop playing was where a bloody, crazed, psychopath of a man was discovered beneath a blanket & the idiot -er, girl simply says "he just needs a glass of brandy". I'm not wasting another minute I'll never get back on THIS junk!

Graphics: good Music: okay Story: boring. Well, it's suspenseful at first with the corpses around. Then the ending is just abrupt and plain, even not really make sense. They must really run out of ideas, geez. Game play: same old HO, mini-games, tasks. However, some of the tasks don't make sense and the hint/map are useless. I was stuck at the scene with the blocking tree and hanging box. After running back and forth for a while, I had to go online searching for a guide, just to find out that I had to throw a rock to make the box fall. I mean, really? Why don't they try that in real life, throwing rock at a box hanging tightly on rope? >_> Oh well. Conclusion: not worth the money or time

Love to play new HO games and occasionally write a brief review after playing the game once. I have to say I got addictted to this one. Played this one three X's before doing the review. For a time I use to find fault with quirky little features that such as maps or instructions incorporated with Hints. These are features that add substance and playing time to the game and add to your involvement. I love the changes I have noticed in the HO Games. I found this game original, addictive , involved, a good value and good replay.

Hints not available except for HO, but needed during other times. I got stuck once, thought maybe I missed something, so started over; got stuck in same place again. Finally quit playing game. Not fun when you can't continue past a point.

The only reason this game is a Platinum Edition is because of the 10 extra minutes of so called bonus game play at the end, wallpapers and jigsaw puzzles. Shame!, Shame!, Shame! developers you know that's unacceptable, 10 minutes, and I'm being charitable length wise, is not enough and you know it. This game is an okay, at best, short-ish standard edition game with a lot of hidden object scenes repeated 3 times each, usually, with a few extra items thrown in each time, some puzzles and not a lot of adventure. I must say I really looked forward to this game for months and I am terribly, terribly disappointed now.

really like the 3d image on the title pg of this game. the graphics in the HO scenes were terrible, and you had to click very precisely to pick the items up. while the hint button helped within the HO scenes, there was no help the rest ot the game. the map did show where you were, points of interest, and HO scenes. but even with the map, i got stuck, and did not have enuf enjoyment playing the game to find the walkthrough. guess i can't like them all...

Some of the HOs were very dark and I had to use the hints more than I liked. However, it was a good story and I really like the end story.

This game is very easy on the eye; nice graphics and good game play. No, there isn't a Strategy Guide within the pack, but the compass gives you the areas you need to investigate (and make sure you look hard in these areas so you don't miss anything!). I did find it a little clicky when it comes to going back and forth between areas that have new HO games, but that also means you can re-check these areas for anything you may have missed the first time. Sometimes the logic of what you have to use is a little out there, but try what you can and eventually you'll tune your thinking to the game. The "Bonus Chapter" is a tad disappointing if I'm honest and do not skip the mini arcade game as you'll be stuck and have to do the whole game again to finish it (trust me, I speak from experience!). All in all it is a good game to play and I found it quite challenging in places and I've played a lot of these type of games.

It's been quite some time since I've played a game that was (a) able to keep my interest and (b) tough enough to make me think but not so tough that it became frustrating. HO scene graphics are very good but be warned that some of the objects are very small and may require the use of the hint system - which, by the way, is only available in the HO portions of the game. It is not available during general gameplay but there is a map that allows you to see where you've been and what actions may be available in those locations. Sadly it's not interactive but it does help to guide you during the game. You will visit locations more than once so be advised. This is a good game and I would consider buying it. I recommend giving it a try.

Not a good game at all. I roamed around trying to figure out where to go next and finally quit and uninstalled the game from my computer. I was very interested in playing this game, but I play games to relax and I don't like to waste time trying to figure out what I need to do next. I do not use hints a lot, but it would have been helpful to have a hint or two so I didn't waste my time.
