I play a lot of hos' and this game was not always easy to figure out what I was suppose to do,I found I had to use a walk- thru a couple of times...I tend to not follow the story, however, this story caught my attention. I found it was hard to put the game away, when it was time to cook dinner.

The graphics in this game were so enjoyable! It was just the right balance of everything I enjoy in a game! I really didn't want it to end!

I am not generally a fan of HOG, however the lovely pictures drew my initial interest and i thoroughly enjoyed the game. the actual HO parts are enjoyable because the pictures a very clear, and I liked having to use the different methods instead of the same thing all the time. Having other puzzles too added to the mix and the strategies to follow to work out where information was added to the fun. you do need to remember where you saw things previously in order to retrace steps to parts you now need. Not overly taxing but adds to the challenge of completing a stage. definitely recommend. Good story line but possibly a bit scary for very young children.
I loved everything about this game. I don't like going back and forth looking for things but this one was really entertaining. It took several days to finish and have played it twice since. It had fun mini-games and most of the items were easy enough to find but the hints recharge fast if you get stuck. I will be playing this game over and over for a long time.

This game was just average to me. The gameplay was ok. The hidden objects were somewhat challenging as were the mini-games. The storyline was less than average. There was no explanation at all as to why the little boy was taken, and the ending was rather abrupt.

The art is beautiful, the worlds are rich, the plot is a little thin. I'm not sure how much replay value I'd say it has since when I repeated it in free mode the HO lists were the same items. Puzzles were simple. The extras are a nice quality, pretty wallpapers, the screensavers are animated backgrounds from your game, not really likely to actually save your screen, but pretty. Free mode is nice, it lets you bounce from area to area and saves your place in each one. It's good for gathering up the last few coins you'll need to unlock all the trophies. The extra art is nice, but nothing amazing. The normal version of the game is probably a good value, but since we didn't get any extra plot or play areas I'd probably skip the premium version.
I really enjoyed this game. The graphics were excellent and the story line was entertaining. I also was very happy with the length of the game. It was well worth the money I paid for it.

I really liked playing this game. It is quite clever and you have to use your head (but not enough to make it hurt) One of the better hidden objects games I have played in a while... graphics are great, too!

Enjoyed this game, lots of interesting graphics and situations. Not many repeating rooms, etc. Puzzles challenging. The only problem, which was one other reviewers noted, was some of the scenes are so dark that you cannot find the HO's without a hint. Otherwise, it's a relaxing game and lasts a long time. And you can get the Platinum Edition with your Fun Pass without having to pay extra. Using one of the wallpapaers on my laptop now!
The graphics were extremely well done. The storyline was really nothing new. The ability to click on the map and go where you want is a definite plus. The hint system wasn't average. The meter fills up but a bit slowly. I did like the mini-games. Just challenging enough. What I didn't like was that it was too short. The first "chapter" was fairly long and led me to believe this would be a nice long game. But each chapter was shorter than the one before.
PREMIUM HOG IT IS, GORGEOUS GRAPHICS, RIGHT AMOUNT OF GAME PLAY TIME, THIS HOG HAD ME HAPPY FROM BEGINNING TO END!

I downloaded this last night and sped through it as a program on History Channel played this morning. I was finished before the hour and a half long program was done. I admit I'm a little disappointed by this game. Yes, it's beautiful but for a good hidden object game it was too simple and too easy. The back and forth between sites within a scene was a way to lengthen it but it didn't add enough. I found that the HO scenes were simple and a good number of the supposed puzzles were painfully simple. I was bored with it but finished to see the ending. The bonuses are okay but seem a waste. This game would be a good introduction for kids to the HO genre but for adults I'd consider it a skip unless you need a quick time killer.
This has got to be one of the most beautiful games I have ever played. The graphics are stunningly beautiful and each location just gets better and better. This is one is definitely one of my favorites ! This is the type of game that you can play over and over again and each time you play it you will still be blown away by the gorgeous graphics. Everything is so clear things are rather easy to find but there are times when you have to do a little bit of looking. The hidden object scenes are crystal clear and do have interactive items to find where you have to do something extra to get the item you need. There are coins to collect throughout the game. The puzzles are fun and not so hard that you feel like screaming and pulling your hair out. This game is one big piece of eye candy from start to finish. The music is nice and not overbearing and intrusive. You are on a quest to find your son who has been sucked into a painting and the pieces of the painting are scattered throughout the different worlds you travel to and each time you finish a world you get a piece of the canvas to put it back together and get your son back there is an evil wizard that is doing all of this he seems to be reeking havoc on each world and you have to help restore each world to it's former glory. I highly recommend this game for anyone to try it is simply breathtaking and I hope to see a sequel very soon. Give it a try you'll be so glad you did. Thank you Gamehouse and Fenomen Games for an absolutely wonderful and gorgeous game.
Really nice game. Very nice graphics, nice story, but for me the interaction was the key. HOG's not too hard and the story just flowed very nicely. The only regret was that it wasn't a touch longer, but overall a great game.

I really enjoyed this game. It was hard enough to be interesting but not so hard that I got frustrated.

This game was just .. meh. So-so. About average for a hidden object game. I really don't see why it was labelled "premium" and cost double.

Haven't written a review before; however, this game deserves one. It wasn't as "dark" as the title indicated and that was a very nice surprise. The graphics are very good and most of the HOGs are easily found (some are hidden behind other objects, so you have to look closely. The story line was also good. Would have liked for it to be a little longer. Perhaps the developers will make their next one a bit longer. I look forward to seeing their next project.
Excellent graphics, for the first time use the strategy guide, after the first time you don't necessarily have to use it, and use your hints, they help keep your focus. and where you have to go. Some hidden objects are really hard to find, but a nice way to spend your time and I used the casual. I want to relax and not stressed out to meet a time limit. If I get stressed I don't want to play it.

From the minute the opening scene loaded I was blown away by the stunning graphics in this game. Clear, crisp scenes with colors and details that are a feast for the eyes! It's an untimed game regardless of whether you choose Casual or Expert mode allowing you time to really enjoy the scenery. Gameplay was a nice mix of quests to find items to help the inhabitants of each chapter, mini games which unlocked items needed to complete a quest or coins that can be used to purchase trophies, and HO scenes that varied between lists of items or pictures of items to be found. Yes, there is a certain amount of traveling back and forth between locations in each chapter but the interactive map provided in the game makes this a lot less tedious. Hints recharge fairly quickly but I didn't feel the need to use it too often (I played in Casual mode). The HO scenes are uncluttered but finding some of the items can be tricky because they made be behind other items in the scene. Each mini game is different (none repeated within the game) and are fairly easy to solve with time and patience. At no time during the game did I feel the need to use the strategy guide. If I have any criticisms for this game they would be (a) it did seem to be a little slow loading between chapters (which I assume is caused by the graphics), (b) the buying of trophies instead of having them be awarded to you for beating a challenge or finishing a chapter seemed a little pointless, and (c) there was never any explanation as to why the wizard was stealing souls - just that he did. However, none of these facts detracted from the gameplay itself. I see no real Replay value in this one because the list of HOs don't change in subsequent run-throughs and unless you've missed collecting coins along the way or want to take another crack at a mini game(s) you skipped, once through the game is enough. I would rate this as Kid Friendly unless parents are wary of the magical aspects of the game. I would recommend you give it a try.
I love the way this game made one think as it took one from one area to the other. One had to remember where challenges were and return to them to complete the area. Just the right balance between finding hidden objects and completing puzzles. Quite relaxing and if I didn't have a good memory for where things are, I would play it again. All the macabre images, however, do not make it a game for young children to play. Perhaps for tweenagers and above.
