I did not enjoy this game. I prefer games with fewer cut scenes and less chatter. IMHO this would have been both a good HOG or match 3 game but not both in the form of 1 game. I also prefer a faster playing match 3 game however, I found the match 3 sets jerky and slow responding.

first time I was able to finish all the levels, for me this was the best fun edition!!!

I have played the JewelQuest games over the years. They were never great, but relaxing and passed the time well. Now they have produced a truly awful game. Far too much story. I could certainly do without the characters. The game is annoying and an unpleasant way to pass the time. Cleaning out my refrigerator is more enjoyable.

I am a huge Jewel Quest fan. This game though, completely let me down. Where past games lasted several days and were an increasing challenge. I finished this game in just over 2 hours. Some scenes were so dark you couldn't find the hidden items at all, there were several mini-games that just replayed with a new character. And the biggest problem is there was more talk than game. I feel completely ripped-off with the high Premium price on this game and now feel that gamehouse is lowering there quality instead of giving good value. Please turn this around Gamehouse.

I was really looking forward to this game - I love all the previous ones. This was a good game, interesting & different puzzles & the jewel boards were pretty good...it was just VERY short!! Spent 2 fun tokens & it wasn't worth that, let down on this one.

This game combines two of my favorite things, match 3 and hidden objects. Not hard but then again, not easy. Some of the match 3 games were a challenge. Games moves along nicely! There are puzzles at each location (some which are challenging) along with hidden objects and a match 3 game if you locate all of the board pieces (3). You also need to find 3 coins at each location to acquire more "Hints" and a number of jewels to increase your score. All in all, I found this game quite relaxing and a great deal of fun to play! There is something new at each new level!

I liked the demo, so I bought the full game. I was all set to give the game 5 stars, because I enjoyed the variety of puzzles and the excellent graphics. And then, all of a sudden, the game is over! This was like reading a good novel, and half way into it the publisher tells you that the rest of the story will in another book someday. I honestly feel that the developers were suddenly told that the budget was cut, so publish what you have! The quality for the part that was actually there was excellent. I would say that this is the best half-a-game in the Jewel Quest inventory.

Jewel Quest mysteries have always been one of my favorite addictions. However, this one disappointed me. It did combine both the hidden object component (which was fairly difficult) with the jewel board matching, but the jewel boards were not at all difficult, compared to previous versions. For me, one of the pleasures of jewel boards has always been the difficulty--I had to work at it to complete them. These jewel boards could all be completed by someone with no previous experience in the game. If you purchased any tokens before playing the jewel boards there was no reason to ever run out of time. That being said, I did like the story, and the voices were very good. But since when did Sebastian become a friend? The only other comment I have is that the game was way too short; you barely got started, and it was over.

I have played other Jewel Quest games. That said, I liked this one the least. Half way through, I found myself not reading the journal (unless I thought it would help me) and skipping dialogue. Previous games had lots of Jewel boards. This game had very few. Except for the last board, they were just repeats from previous games. Even though the puzzles weren't new to me, I enjoyed working them. The hidden objects were well done as were the graphics. The Premium version provides a strategy guide. You can also play the puzzles and/or Jewel boards separately once you have completed the game. I hope the "Premium" aspect wasn't based on the game's play value. If so, they need to change it.

If you have played other Jewel Quest Mysteries, you have played this one. Same Hidden Objects, mini games and jewel boards, time for something new. Glad I played through my Funpass, would have been disappointed to pay $19+ for this game.

i like that there are HO & M3 scenes in this game. i like the Jewel Quest games and their complex stories. the music is great. u find items in the HO scenes-there are mini games to play. then there are jewel boards-the M3 portion of the game. nice combo...

Jewel Quest should stick to their strength, match-3. This game tries to do too much and ends up not doing any of them particularly well.

I love this game and I'm not even finished with it yet. It has all the genre I like: Hidden object, puzzles, and jewel boards. Some of the jewel boards are very challenging and I like that. If you are looking for a relaxing game, this one is not for you. But if you want a challenge and more than just a hidden object game, then this one is for you. I will play this one again and again.

If this game did not have those darn Jewel Boards I probably would have given this game a 5 star rating. I found the match 3's difficult and frustrating. I personally do not like to be timed. Hope you enjoy more than I did.

This game started out fairly easy until the fourth level which began the tiles puzzle that are in shapes of triangles being placed in a figure, that was difficult. Doing the match 3 that was timed was difficult too. I have come to a place in the game where I have to get this boulder out of the gurellas hand using the pipes and haven't been able to succeed in it. I like the fact that theres a list to find the objects. I wish more hidden objects would go back to the list, but they have gone from that, which makes it hard for me to master. I can see why alot of players will not complete this game, there isn't no clues which can move you from thoses difficult scenes. If someone knows how to make that boulder fall out of the gurellas hand I would greatly apreciate the answer so I would be able to move on to the next level.

I didn't like much about this game. First there is a lot of reading to do but you can skip most of it, then the hidden objects are difficult to see, and third there is a "match 3" component to the game that is timed, and timed games are never fun for me. I don't want to have to repeat part of a game because I didn't meet their standards. It's too frustrating to play a timed game - that's not why I play. Thank goodness I have FunPass so the cost of the game was covered by my monthly charge.

Here's another game I've already played. Seems like GH likes to put out the same game in different modes -- regular, extended version, premium version, platinum version. I didn't care for this game the first time, still disliked the second time. Major complaint, being timed during the jewel board.

Surprisingly short, even with repeating scenes with a different character. Jewel Boards get very hard in too a short time limit, but if you fail 3 times you can skip it. It should offer an untimed option! Its not like you pay per try. HO scenes were poor resolution- too tiny, & indistinct. Story never really progressed & its ridiculous to go in a cave supposedly unopened for 1000's of years, only to see the "ancient artifact" the locals want you to find is a fresh banana skin! Or modern high heels. There was far too many anachronistic items like this, making it all silly, just not believable. Very disappointing for such well known, well liked series.

This is an enjoyable game all around EXCEPT for the pressure to get the jewel board done in a prescribed time. Some of us are not adrenalin junkies and it does tend to ruin the whole game for us. Please, game developers, always consider having an Un-Timed option. This was definitely better than a 3 star game but I just couldn't go higher with the grade because of not having an option.

This game was a real disappointment. There are two places in the game that you need to do exactly the right thing or you have to start all over again. Found this out from a walkthrough after I got stuck. Now I have come to a point in the game and I cannot move on. No idea what is wrong. Some of the hidden objects are almost impossible to find. You have to use hints. Sorry I used a credit to buy this. I would not recommend the game.
