this Jewel Quest game is not as challenging as others i've played. the items/coins to increase special powers/jewels to buy power ups in the HOG part of this game were very easy to find. i did like the power ups. they were cool. liked the music. i like the combo of HOG, match 3, and puzzle-i have to admit the puzzle part was hard 4 me. i lost my patience and skipped most of those. this game is just so so...

For starters, JQ "Mysteries" is not really a match-3; a better description would be "hidden objects." The match-3 jewel boards are very simple--on a par with the first level of the original Jewel Quest. The hidden object screens are interesting, but not really challenging. I went through every one (in fact, the entire game) in a few hours, completing every screen on my first try. Okay, I did skip a few of the puzzle boards, but within the allowable penalty scheme, I was still able to finish the entire game on my first attempt. Oh, by the way, what is the "best" Jewel Quest? JQ III! It's imaginative, varied, very challenging, and addictive. It took me about 6 weeks to thoroughly crack it--and it offers a "tournament" option so that I can still match wits (and mouse clicks) with players in cyberspace.
I like this Jewel Quest because it combines HOs with Match 3. This one has a few twists the other one like it did not. I am only giving it 4 stars because it was too short. I could play this game over and over.
