I downloaded this game, forgetting that I had played it before, but I looked in my book, and it said that I had loved the game, so, I replayed it, and found it still was fun and enjoyable. Kind of spooky, but fun spooky....

This one kept me up late and thoroughly entertained. HO's have a few interesting labels for the items, but not too much of a reach for what you need to find. Mini games are unique and fun. Skipped a few, but no doubt will try again to complete and claim my award. Three different settings to try too. Graphics are nice but macabre though this certainly fits the style of the game. Nice to have the guide when you get stuck and the bonus game wraps the story up nicely. Will play again!

I played the casual experiance so it was rather relaxing. Very fun and addicting as well. I had to play the bonus scene!

I LOVED this game just as I did on the last game in this Dark Arcana Series.. Everything was great, storyline, graphic's were amazing, and loved the mini game's and HO game's as well as the interaction...If you get stuck on where to go you can click "HINT" and the arrow will show you and not take anything away unless you are near an object to interact with which is the only case a hint is taken away.. This game is higly reccomended to install and play.. I really enjoyed it..

I usually groan when I see another dark game, and I expected this one to be that way as well. But it really wasn't. There was a good story line, and the voice-overs were okay. The graphics were quite good, but the mini-games were a bit on the simple side. Having the monkey to help you out was a nice twist. There was a bit of a hesitation between some scenes, but it only lasted a couple of seconds, so it wasn't very annoying. There was a bit too much back-and-forth for my taste, but again, it wasn't to the point of being truly annoying. And if you do get lost, you can always consult the accompanying guide, which is nice to have. The bonus chapter was excellent and enhanced the original story, which not all of them do. I would not recommend this game for pre-teens because of the nature of the story, but I think anyone over 14 would probably enjoy playing.

I agree totally with flaca's review. The story was engaging & addictive....forced myself to quit so I could look forward to another day of fun. Some are annoyed with translations but I think many times it's done on purpose to add more challages to the game.....part of the fun for me. This one goes on my replay list for sure.

This game was excellent from many perspectives. It's only downside was a black-screen transition in changing locations. But it was well thought out, with good HOS and clever but not impossible mini games. Even though you had two dimensions to work with at one point, it was not confusing and I never needed the map. The monkey was fantastic, climbing in and out of the scenes to help - very well done. Story was good and had a twist in it. Altogether, great game and I'd recommend.

Wow, what an excellent game. Great graphics, great music, Although you didn't have your usual creepy clowns, you still had demons, talking skeletons, ghosts, carnivorous plants. And let's not forget about that wonderful monkey who interacts with the scene. If there is a task where something you need is in a tree or rooftop, just click on the monkey and he'll jump from your bottom panel into the scene to retrieved it for you. Clever. Story line was interesting if not sad. Don't forget to play the bonus chapter when you're done. Enjoy !!!

Though I really enjoyed playing this game, there were a couple of things that could be improved on. It got pretty tedious having to travel through so many other places to get where you needed to be! Game could be greatly improved by letting you get directly there directly from the map. The second irritating thing was the fairly long wait (with black screen) between every scene. This began to get on my nerves quite badly about half way through the game. If the story hadn't been so interesting , along with so many other plus's I might have quit playing. If the producers could fix these two problems , their next game continuing along these lines could be Awesome. Looking forward to "Dark Arcana- Carnival 2"

I really liked this one. Good graphics and very good plotline. My only reservation is that the minigames seemed rather easy to me but I played it on casual level. They might be more difficult if you choose the harder options.

I was pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable this game was. The graphics were great, the story line was very good, the flow of the game was really nice, all in all really enjoyable. The bonus chapter was also excellent. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

I am not a fan for Carnivals but this one is really quite different and interesting in both the storyline and graphics. All scenes are welll done and truly project the eerie mood of the other realm of evil. A littile bit too much searching for objects but that's how it goes with these games. At least the objects are contributive to the story but less would be better. I played for five hours and finished the game, could not quite stop as I wanted to see the ending which has a twist and the bonus game gave finalilty to the fate of the main character, one thing though, he could have looked more normal and not so sinister. Great game.

The game took the better part of two evenings to play about 8 hours all together. There is a fast start gets you wanting more it keeps you interested all the way .The story makes sense from the start not something you find in a lot of games now . I loved the look of the carnival in both worlds but was very glad for the hint button as I got lost more then a few times and getting directions did not deplete the hint like in some games. saved me a lot of aimless wondering .About my only complaint was the time it took to go from one scene to another sometimes you passed 4 or 5 to get where you needed to be and each change took from 45 to 90 seconds that's up to 4 minuets to get back to play. That has never happened with any other game so I'm assuming its this game. Still a fantastic game it has an ending which a lot do not .You end up happy and pleased you played to the end as it the end you hoped for . All in All a super play all round keep up this kind of game Gamehouse you excelled here

Would have been a 5 star game,if I didnt have to do all the thru scene travel and the black screen between scenes was annoying, just as other reviewers are stating, other than that the game was great !! Good story, twist at the end was alright, made me have to rethink my dislike for the "bad guy"... HOS were great, right down the middle satisfying, puzzles were challenging and flowed with the story, did skip 1 that frustrated me alot ... hint button pointed you in the right direction, would have saved me a few times if I had not had the game guide... I think its an OK family game,my daughter watched and helped out for a few chapters... Good over all game, hoping for a part 2 !!!! Premium has HOSs in bonus content and the whole achievement thing make this one to replay... HAPPY GAMING EVERYONE !!

I liked that the hint button refreshed quickly and was so helpful. The graphics were good. That's about all I liked. The story was morbid, as HOGs typically are, but I did not enjoy spending any time in that carnival. I skipped almost all of the side games. The hidden objects were very easy to find. All in all kind of a bust.

I enjoyed this game. It required enough thought to keep my interest without getting frustrated. The graphics and storyline were good, there was enough interaction with the characters to make it not feel wooden and static. I'm a bit confused as to why it's listed as a new game, though...I played this several months ago.
