I'm a 58 full time married mother of 17 children with 17 grandchildren. I play computer games at the end of another busy day to relax. I enjoy HOG games. I played the hour free trial, got hooked then bought it. There's quite a bit of going back & forth which wears me out, I use the hints button a lot to keep from getting confused which for me isn't difficult in this game. I prefer HOG games where you find hidden objects in one area and you don't have to take items from one area, go to another area to use them then go back to the area to find something else which is something that this entire game is comprised of. Fortunately the hints button that's shaped like the big bad wolf recharges quickly. I prefer HOG games such as Gardenscapes for example. I skip most of the mini games because the last thing I want to do after a hectic day of having to use my brain is to try to figure these games out. My brain is tired at the end of the day & doesn't work very well any more. Some are very easy to figure out so I breeze right through them but most require some level of thought which is what I do not want to do while I'm trying to relax. I had to turn the music off because it literally gave me a headache. The music is spooky just like the entire story line & is pretty repetitive, I think. It's not for me. The entire story line I think is rather stupid but that's just me. Being the wife of a retired cop, in real life criminals don't go to this much work to pull off a crime or to throw cops off his trail or in this case Red Riding Hood. Posting notes on trees, on sculptures, on doors & windows, how absurd. This is fantasy at its sickest. I'm not finished playing the game yet as of the time of this review. This is not a game that I can play for hours at a time without taking a break as I can for Gardenscapes for example. I play this game for about 15 minutes then take a several hour break to give my headache a chance to decrease somewhat before I go back to this game and play a little more. I'm hooked on this game, anxious to find out what happens next, but at the same time I'm anxious to get to the conclusion of this game because I've played much better than this game (Gardenscapes & Gardenscapes Mansion Makeover). I recommend this game for anyone who likes constant repitition.

It says we are not to comment on technical issues. Well, when it takes much longer to get past a glitch than to play the entire game twice, I think it is relevant. This would be a great game IF the patch was in place. It is exactly the kind of game I enjoy. I would like to recommend it, but not in the current condition.

Not the most complicated game by any means but the graphics are nice, HOG's are easy and clear and the story is interesting. I like having a map I can click to & from with. Wished it was longer.

I liked the graphics, they weren't the best...but good.

I can get bored with a game real easily but this one kept my interest til the end. The graphics were great, and the HO's were challenging but not completely hidden like some. There is the usual "oh, I need a special key" and "there are parts missing" but that's the nature of HOG's. Can anyone tell me why all these HOG's have the heroine looking for her man? Is it only women who play these games?

I was really enjoying playing this game. The hint button recharges fast and helps you with where to go. Would have liked a map but there isn't one so you have to go back and forth quite a few times to get when you need to be. The HO's are not difficult at all but I still got involved with the game. Unfortunately there is a glitch half-way through and the game will lock up on you when you finally get to the yacht.

I liked this game. Actually started it a different week than when I finished it, so can't be very descriptive. I did enjoy it because it wasn't too hard to where I felt like an idiot. And it wasn't so easy that it wasn't rewarding to get through it. It was also just different enough from typical HOGs that it kept my interest. Challenged me just about right. Hint button gives next direction without needing a recharge if you need it, but didn't need it much. Not sure if I understood the end, but I don't care.

From the get go I knew what the ending was going to be based on clues I got throughout the game. It was a very entertaining game I love games that make fun time.

Everything was fine up until putting gas into the yatcht. I could not get pass this part the game froze up. I closed down my browser and reopened to see if that was the problem. Did this three times gave up and closed the game. Would like to know what glitch flaca was referring too?

This game is a good way to relax after a busy day. It takes some thinking but the mini games are easy and the hidden objects are fun. I would recommend it to anyone who likes a relatively easy game.

The game starts off a little slow but gets better as it goes along. The HOG's are pretty easy and I liked the mini games. You do a lot of jumping around but there is a map that you can use in the diary and you can avert a lot of the jumping. The graphics are excellent, typical Alawar, but the game is a little bit short. The story line is good. I would recommend the game to anyone that likes the Alawar games, they are just so engaging.

I am not a fan of the dark gothic kind of hidden object. So when I downloaded this, I didn't have much hope I would like it. But I was pleasantly surprised. The storyline is little dark because you are searching for Red's kidnapped boyfriend. But I quickly became hooked because I really wanted to save him! There are not as many opportunities to find a list of hidden objects, but you are figuring out what you need to move forward and then finding it. The graphics are really nice, but I wouldn't know about the music or sounds as I prefer to have it off. The complaint I have is it's very short and the mini games get irritating. You can skip them though. I liked it!

I downloaded this when I got stuck while playing the new Dark Parables game, played it a bit, then went to the forum to see if their was input on parables to get me unstuck. Meaning, it did not hold me when I had another option. It is an alright game. Decent graphics, HO's clear and not too dark or difficult as some can be. Mini games were different and interesting. Caught on to what was going on and sure enough that's how it played out. All in all decent enough game.

The game has an interesting storyline, clear graphics and well chosen music which varies according to the location – nicely done. The HOs are plentiful and the items are clear and easy to find. There are a few mini games which can be skipped. The Hint button refills rapidly and points you in the right direction without depleting. Overall it’s a cute and entertaining game.

Fun with vibrantly coloured graphics & interesting settings. Long gameplay & a good story, a bit creepy too. Lots of HOS but they're well-made & not difficult to clear, so game flow is very smooth. Mini-games/puzzles only a few yet they're entertaining if rather easy. What's very good is the adventure/inventory tasking, lots to do, reasonable challenge on hardest mode. Fast HINT recharge & a jump map too. The game's ending is a bit abrupt (with an odd twist) that disappointed me a bit & hints at a sequel (yay). No matter, game is such fun to play & storyline keeps it interesting all the way through. I really wanted to defeat that madman! Fullscreen & no technical issues at all.

Finally got past the glitch on my own and it was a heck of a time. But once that all happpened there wasn't much just the casino. Now I have to say that the outcome was somewhat predictable for me. Can't really say why but I just knew it. I didn't like how it ended. As a whole if I were to judge the game on that it would of gotten a big fat 0. Now, the mini games were cool and the HO were good to find. Voice acting was superb. Things were TOO dark. If they fix that glitch, this game is great. Hope they make sequels to this game. It has potential as a series. But I hope they do better with the endings bc this one majorly sucked.

I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game from the beginning to the end.. The graphic's were great, storyline was great and gameplay all in all was great. I liked how you had a map you could use to jump from scene to scene instead of having to guess where to go to leading to a frustrating back and forth and not knowing where to go nor what to do.. I can tell there will be another game after this one by the way it ended.. Very enjoyable game and I highly reccommend it

Even though this is an Alawar game, it wasn't as good as Sacra Terra or House of a 1000 Doors. The subject matter is dark and not suitable for pre-teens, but the story holds up except for the hokey ending. The graphics were crisp, which made the HO scenes pretty easy. The mini games ranged from easy to moderate. The game supplied a map which negated a lot of back-and-forth. The map also showed you where there were still tasks to complete. But you didn't always have everything needed to complete those tasks, so you had to be careful. The hint button was good at pointing you in the right direction as well. I can't speak to the quality of the voice over because I had no sound of any kind; very irritating. But I seem to be the only one with that problem. I did not encounter any of the glitches discussed by other reviewers. Overall this is a good game and worth playing. It was a tad short, but that shouldn't interfere with the enjoyment. Not suitable for small children.
