Build-A-Lot 1 was good, but I'm glad for the improvements in Build-A-Lot 2. More to do to build houses, plus the oil refineries, recycle centers and playgrounds. It's a challenge to get through all the levels at the top, but that's what makes it fun and good for replay! If you like Time Management games, the Build-A-Lot series is something different and fun.

This is a exciting game to play. You will be challenged in areas to keep property up, build, sell and buy. The more you upgrade a property the more money you earn- It's a lot of fun and time will get away with you if you're not carefull- meaning you can be on here for hours.

even tho the build-a-lot games all require the same skills as a gamer-buy blueprints/build houses, parks, shops/train workers/meet a certain amt of rent, overall money, appeal rating- i never tire of them. in this 2nd game seeing the different towns and how their scenery changes to reflect their specific appeal=receiving gifts from the mayors=rating each town when u finish them according to your enjoyment of building it is a nice touch. definately kid friendly-my 7yo nephew loves each of the build-a-lot series. he's been playing them since he was 5yo. and u can play this game over and over without becoming too good to make it not enjoyable...keep 'em coming!!!!!!!

Every member of the family loved this game. Better than the original and very addictive. Tricky in places - not an easy ride at times but so so so so much fun!! Highly recommended.

I really do enjoy the Build-a-lot games! Wow, to be a contractor, landlord and employer of so many. :) Only in my dreams! I was a landlord for 10 years and owned two sem-detached houses. This game takes me back to that time. I hate my job now, but to be able to come home, relax and BE a landlord again, even in fantasy does help me get through my boring day job. Thanks for making two types of games in one! The timed games are fast paced... I can't wait to play the casual side of things as well and just relax, to see what I can do with what I build. I only wish I could choose my own colors and have more than just two streets to work with at a time. I wish we could see a whole neighborhood, and expand our enterprise through an entire large neigborhood. Lastly, I do want to say I liked the friendliness of each mayor or real estate agent in each town. I found the dialogue kind and extremely friendly. I LOVED that. Great overall! :)

I love the enjoyment and challenge of finishing the game in the Expert time. It can sometimes be challenging but it grabs your attention and keeps you trying.

After being a little disappointed in Build-a-Lot 1, it was brilliant to find the second version much better. The Rycycle Centre (buy cheaper materials AND get extra materials when you demolish houses) is available much sooner than in number 1. Efficiency Training speeds up the game and makes a huge difference. Friends have been stuck on oil refineries, I found them fun. Even after playing and replaying, I sometimes miss out on a gold star for Level 34. So it's still a challenge! Then - when you think it's over - you get extra bonus levels.
