Reviews of Alice in Wonderland

It is a decent game, interesting premise, with a variety of different types of puzzle in it. The story is a little too dark for younger children, and they had too many "fit these gears together" type of puzzle, but overall I enjoyed it.

The spin on Alice in Wonderland works well. The story line is fresh, but still retains the link to the books. The music works well with the story, both in terms of the tempo and the feel. It's a dark, eerie melody that matches the darkness of the story. This is not a game that you can ignore or click past the story. You have to read the story to figure out where you have to look. You move back and forth between rooms to fulfill the quests. I had to use the hint frequently in this game just to figure out which room I needed to go to. The hidden objects were not that hard to find, and that left me a little disappointed in the game play. I wished there were more objects to find also. There were several activities you had to perform between finding hidden objects, and these are what sent you tracking back and forth between rooms. There were really just a couple of types of games at the end of each chapter. It was either the gear game or the lock game. The gears were quite tricky, but after a few chapters I started to get the hang of it and it didn't take as long as it did at first. Overall the game is pretty good. Not sure it would be enjoyed by or appropriate for children.

this game drove me NUTS, but i couldn't stop playing it. i had a hard time figuring out where/which room items could be found in. i spent a lot of time uselessly going back and forth. too much guess work for me. i LOVED the music, tho. a lot of it was hauntingly beautiful, some was perfectly insane. good job on the music, guys...

I thought is was a pretty cool game. The graphics are interesting. It's a different spin on the Alice in Wonderland story. I like the puzzles. I do wish it were a bit longer.

This game is one of the most beautiful and eerie games I have played so far. The scenes are absolutely stunning and the music is so relaxing and eerie. The story is great, you go back and forth from your house to Wonderland to save 10 little girls from the horrible Queen. 5 star game, I definitely recommend it.

This game had great graphics but the story line was not very interesting. I expected more from the synopsis about 10 missing little girls and they are trapped in a wonderland..but don't get your hopes up. I completed this game in a few hours. Its a good play but I would use my Fun Pass to play.

This game takes you inside Wonderland where you can interact with all of its beloved characters. It's lots of fun and pretty challenging.

I enjoyed playing this game because it was so fun to look at the art and it wasn't difficult so quite a nice coffee break game. Would have liked it better if there were more tasks to accomplish and a different variety of puzzles. If you like the story of Alice in Wonderland it's interesting to see the characters drawn so beautifully and portrayed a bit different and the scenery is absolutely lovely (some of the scenes would make nice wallpapers :-) . It's a game worth playing but not as great as it could have been.

The game was good, but I didn't always know what was supposed to come next. The task says find the magic potion or whatever, but no other clues. I found myself going from scene to scene clicking around trying to find what I was after. The times when it gave photos that changed color when in the correct scene helped a lot, but they weren't very clear - kinda dark, hard to make out. Interesting the way the creator had the scene have added items when you were looking for a new thing. Wouldn't be a first choice if I could only buy one game, but I'd get it if I had extra cash.

The art's beautiful, the menus are phenomenal, the story's an interesting take on Alice in Wonderland.... and the gameplay is horrid. This is a very locked in game. If you can't figure out what you need to do you're stuck. And if you're on the wrong screen when you're lost the Hint feature is pretty useless. The chapter feature is a godsend only in the fact that you can't get too lost. Objects you need to find are blurred, dark or the image on the bar lacks the same silhouette as in the scene. The list scenes were painfully simple on the other hand. You will often find yourself clicking randomly because active areas are invisible. Exits are hidden and sometimes in inconvenient or unobvious locations. The addition of needless puzzles for the sake of puzzles led to the story feeling choppy. It's on the level of difficulty for little kids but I suspect they'll be to frustrated to last. And the take is a little dark... This is an Alice game that never quite hit the mark.

The whole game just annoyed me. The objects were not well hidden. The music was nerve grating. Had a childish feel, but not for children. I won't finish it, even with a funpass membership.

This is a very interesting twist on the Alice story. I got frustrated a few times trying to figure out where I was supposed to be looking for stuff and the help button wasn't much help most of the time. I did love the graphics and couldn't quit playing because I wanted to see how it was going to end. So that is a good score for the game developers. I think anyone who likes hog's will enjoy this.

Graphics and gameplay were excellent but the story wasn't so original.

This game was ok, at best. I liked the graphics and it had a decent story line, but it didn't really stand out to me as a great game.

The first thing that impressed me about his game was the fine graphics. It is quite stylized, but beautifully done. Full marks to the designers for the original and creative artwork, which gives a slightly surreal quality to the game, without it being too distracting. The game is a clever twist on the Alice tale, and it does work very well. They managed to keep most of the key ingredients (loved the caterpillar by the way) but still keep it fresh and interesting. I think my favourite bit was growing the baby white rabbit! The tasks were all relevant to the game, and good fun. I will say some of them were quite challenging and I possibly used more hints on this game than usual. The puzzles are spread across different rooms and scenes, so you do have to go backwards and forwards quite a lot, but I didn't mind too much. I used the hints mainly to find out which room I was supposed to be looking in, but again it didn't detract from the game. I do think that perhaps they could have given us a greater variety on the mini games, as it fell back on three of the old standards which are getting a bit worn out now, but the rest of the game made up for it. The music was slightly off key, giving it an unearthly quality as well, which really worked. Certainly worth playing, and probably worth playing more than once. An original and offbeat game.

Alright I was excited when I got this game but after playing the first 10 minutes, I realized what a big mistake. The game has good graphics but you literally need to find each object, which is very easy to find, before moving through the next door or level. So it gets so annoying looking for an object at a time and then to top it off all that useless dialogue..... For Advance HOG players this game will bore your pants off. Yet for the kiddos this one will be enjoyable.

1 star for graphics/music 1 star for somewhat interesting twist on story That's it. Game play is terrible. It's hard to find the exit to next screen as it's small. Same thing for finding objects for tasks or HOs. Plus the blurry/transparent objects pained my eyes. Puzzles are the same connecting the gears over and over with a few others. Hint is pretty useless, I often mistook it that told me to go to the next screen because it's too broad and too close to the exit. Even I'm an adult and very used to HOG, I found myself stuck sometimes for silly reasons, I don't think this is kid-friendly. Unless you want the kid destroy the computer out of frustration XD. The ending is weak, I can't believe I wasted 4 hours to see that. Duh, just pass this game at once.
