ok think I am totally losing it but ok have the fat rat with the key but can not find anything that needs to be unlocked.

I have blown up all the rocks that will blow up and dug up all the holes. I still cant find the treasure. Any help would be appreciated.

Depending on which character you use, the exact location differs. I remember for the guy (Henry?) it is up the hill right next to a wall with the gold mine, right at the edge of a cliff. There is a tree on top of it. I don't remember exactly where it was with the female character, but both times it was under a tree, not too too far from where the rat came from. You can use dynamite to remove the tree, then you can just see where the area is to dig.
