Well how sad is this? I first purchased Alien Sky in 2004/2005 and been playing it off and on since then. I have finally managed to complete the game, although it has taken me 6 or 7 years. Is that sad or do I get a medal for perseverence?
I would post a picture but this forum isn't set up for that.

Hi, I have attempted to download and install this game many times. Each time the file DX8VB.DLL fails to install and the game will not start. This has occued on my Windows 7 Professional pc and on my Windows Vista laptop. Is this game only playable on Windows XP?

Does the message say that Windows Firewall is blocking the program accessing your computer?
Are you using Windows XP SP2 still? Do you need to grant an exception for the gamehouse game?

Is it possible to see all the list of improvements Mooma?

This is possible, but you would have to take your computer to a relative or friends and use their internet connection on your computer. You could try your games then setup an account and purchase your games from there.

Just type "dxdiag" without the quotes into <RUN> box when you click START in Windows XP or into the <Search programs and files> box in Windows 7 and click <Enter>.
The version of directX is near the bottom of the first page.

If your computer is telling you to install Adobe Flash then it probably would be better posting in this forum. Go to this address
http://forums.adobe.com/community/webplayers/flash_player
and post your problem there. Just like this forum you will need to start an account before you post and please try to give as much information as you can. At the very least basic computer details, operating system and browser details, as well as the game and what the error message actually says.

@Jesstos;
It might help us if you mention which games you were attempting to download. Whilst I agree that there are very few specifically compatible Win7 games, most Vista and many WinXP games will run on Win7. Were you using the free trial download? If you were you've lost nothing. Try a few that say Vista compatible and let us know how you get on. I've got 27 RealArcade/Gamehouse games and only one would not download to my Win7 machine and only one more would not run after downloading OK. As for games being updated; the plain answer is no! These are finished and published games. It would take probably as much effort to rewrite them for Win7 as it would to write a completely new game. If you still get download problems with ALL games, try the online help; I found them very helpful.

Hi,
I hope I am not telling you all something that has already been posted but; I found that some of my Real Arcade games were not listed at Gamehouse.
This is after the pagination issue was settled. I could not find a link back to my Real Arcade "My Account."
Then looking through my old "Favourites" link in IE8 I came across this link.
http://real.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/7695/tabName/tab0/support_type/Null?board.id=RealArcade&page_of_message_id=13837
When I clicked on the link I found the Real Player customer support page.
I signed into the online support with the "My Account" link and;
There were all my old Real Arcade games ready for redownload.
All my games were downloadable and installable except for two; Scrabble Blast and Master of the Skies - The Red Ace.
ALL these games run in Windows 7 Professional 32 bit edition.
You may have to use compatibility mode for some and "Run as Administrator" works best but they all work.
I hope that this helps those who couldn't find their games.

Hi,
Sorry if I have overlooked it, but is there a personal preferences site? Where we can upload avatars, flag posts and receive emails if there is a reply to our post, etc..??

Additionally, to see all of your RealArcade games installed thus far, use this shortcut to get the style of games back that you were used to on RealArcade.com:

Welcome to Gamehouse everyone.
I have just finished reinstalling the 32bit Win7 Pro o/s and was redownloading my games from Real Arcade when I got the email regarding the combination of Real Arcade & Gamehouse. I got about half of my games reloaded when I signed up to Gamehouse and now I cannot get back to the Real Arcade site to download the rest. I realise that some games are no longer supported by Gamehouse; but does it mean that I can no longer retrieve the games I did not have time to reinstall?
