Some companies allow DSL without the traditional landline service, so you can do that. It also works with Cable Internet.

You can call any number. Think of it as a regular landline. Your computer needs to be on to receive calls as you get a personal number with your own area code, when it is off, calls go straight to voicemail. You get call waiting, 3 way calling, caller ID etc.

Oh ..,. BTW.. for Moo.... Barnyard Invasion is FREE this week at Sandlot

I have been hanging out on Pogo mostly. I have been testing Gamehouse's new Game Manager too and have some feedback I am preparing.

Just got a MagicJack phone adapter recently and I use this a whole lot now for calling people on the phone and recieving calls. If you do not have one yet, get it!

Please improve the installer behavior so that the games do not launch when you register then, and create a "mass download" option that would pull all the games from your account and redownload them in one swoop.

Namco has exclusive rights to distribute the arcade versions of DK on certain platforms as it sees fit, and so far PC is a no-no because of Nintendo of Americas strict policy with emulation and the piracy they are trying to control.

Games like Spy Hunter are Midway Property, and they are going through a bankruptcy dliema right now with most assets of Midway owned by WB Games.

I dont see any of this happening in the near future, even in the next 2 years.

Sometimes the cookie data or internet cache can get corrupted. Therefore when you are having problems registering your game you need to clear out your temporary internet files. cookies, and another private data. Remember, you need to do this from Internet Explorer and not Chrome or Google since the licensing wrapper is ActiveMark and uses IE to display its pages inside the registration system.

This happened to me when using Spelvin yesterday trying to register it , and CCleaner worked wonders to clean it out.

Remember the discussion we had about those portable devices? I recently got one with Windows 7 Starter on it and it was slow as hell with the Windows 7 Starter. So you know what I did? I previously owned an Acer 10.1 " netbook with XP so I decided to run those recovery dvds with the emachines netbook and see if it worked. Guess what? It works! Windows Genuine Advantage has not nailed me yet for this loophole, but it seems to activate the product in the BIOS as long as its an Acer, Gateway or eMachines!

In the end I went for a proper laptop, but just in a very tiny size, you have to shop around a bit to find small ones as most people seem to want massive laptops!

However next time I go shopping for one I'll probably look at a Tablet, there's a whole new generation out onto the market fairly recently, they're designed to be exactly what most people are looking for - the size/convenience of a netbook with the power/memory of a laptop. Maybe have a look at those - they may be more pricey at the moment though, til they've been around a while

Not true at all on the memory. The bare minimum when they came out was 512mb of ram. 1GB of ram is standard in all netbooks today with a minimum of 160gb of hard drive space and a 10.1" screen.

Bought a Canadian Flag patch for my backpack, and then I bought a Canadian Flag Decal for my Laptop,

Next... I bought a portable game player that duplicates the look of the Playstation Portable. You can appropriately use the term "KNOCK OFF" but it was $43 with free shipping and no tax, so I am not going to cry wolf about it. The thing that makes it unique is that you can play Nintendo , Super Nintendo , Sega Genesis , Gameboy Advance, etc on this portable unit. I cannot tell you on these forums for legal reasons how to load them or where to obtain them, but classic gaming is a big hobby amongst myself and my friends.

Last, I shopped on Newegg and bought a Phillips 2GB MP3 Player that was on sale for $24.99 with free shipping, the price went up to $49.99 at Noon PST on Friday. I feel good I got the deal when it was there.

You can temporarily work around this issue by doing the following :

Click the Start Button. Click All Programs. At the top of the program list, find Internet Explorer. Right click on the icon and select Run As Administrator. This temporarily turns off protected mode and should allow the download without incident. When you close internet explorer, your browser settings are returned to normal and protected mode is turned back on.

It is my pleasure to announce that Best Buy has invited me as their guest to attend an all expense paid trip to Las Vegas to attend the International Consumer Electronics Show 2010 Friday January 8th through the 10th. I will be flown from Sacramento to Las Vegas where they will be boarding us at the MGM Grand Hotel for 2 nights.

How did I earn this? I was recognized as a Super User on the Best Buy Community Forums and My name was entered into a drawing. Well guess what? I was the first one out of many they called announcing me as one of the lucky people to be flown into LV!

This game will work on Windows 7 but you have to run it in a few ways.

1. Try right clicking on the shortcut and select run as administrator.

2. If you still cant run the game on step 1..., then right click on the shortcut , select properties, and select compatibility , choose Windows XP SP3 mode and apply it , then try to run the game again.

[b]Please note, the following advice works now, but is not guaranteed to work in the future.

If you are on a freshly formatted computer, you can still use the old RealArcade 1.4 to download your games. The link for this is here:

http://realarcadebundles.real.com/servlet/Stubby/realarcade_ambient_stub.exe

Once this is installed, you can go through http://service.real.com , click on My Account, and then redownload your games. Once you redownload your games, you can then move to GameHouse.com and download a game installer.

Once you download a game, it checks for RealArcade 1.4 and will remove it, HOWEVER, you will still have access to the games you downloaded through the start menu.

This is what GameHouse officially says about using your FunTickets:

To use your credits simply make your purchase normally. When you get to the payment method step your will see the option to use your credit to pay for the game.
