The game is not broken. The clue is the key is not silver, so you click on the key(s), which is(are) not silver coloured. you get the next clue and so on. You do so until you have two keys left. Be careful by the last clue it is a yes clue (don't take the wrong key), so you have one key left to unlock the cell door.

Lagoona, I tried clicking on the keys that are not silver, a little question mark spins around but nothing else happens. The sherrif never calls out any more clues. it's very frustrating.

I am having the same issue. there is no way to extricate yourself from picking up the glass once you finish you just sit there. You can't do the door knob until you pick up the glass.
I also have an issue with the screen resolution, the game says that it can't find a resolution for my pc so it will only play with a small screen (makes it hard to see the items I am searching for.) I am glad I tried the game before I bought it, I would be really unhappy to have spent money for this game.
I also deleted and re-loaded it hoping to fix the glitch, but no luck! It needs a fix!
