Hey all

Let me start by saying WOW.

Room the detail involved in sculpting like that just amazes me. Very impressive indeed.

Mooma I know the work involved in the needlework. But I just follow someone elses pattern, to have drawn it first is amazing. So colorful and lively.

Elven. To be able to capture someones likeness as well as you did JFK's. Is incredible. Lovely truly lovely indeed.

I know I said. I would post to this thread but it may have to wait a few days.

My 88 yo aunt is in ICU and I am in the role patient advocate since her admission 2 days ago..

Good news is she is showing improvement.

I am posting now from my phone and I am unsure of whether my imageshack acct will work here the same as photobucket

It all comes down trust GH. I know from reading other threads that you know about this problem and have known since it began happening. Either post a formal warning, disable the free game of the day until the problem is corrected, or at the very least communicate with us what measures are being taken thus far. If you can't do that then remove your promise of safety found on the homepage.

I am much more likely to continue a relationship with a company that can admit its mistakes and takes steps to correct them than I am to continue with a company who as far as I can tell is trying to keep the problem quiet hoping the fallout will be minor.

Fortunately, for myself, I believe I am above average when dealing with computers and the internet, as I have worked in IT. Thus I have avoided being duped by the rogue software that is causing the issue here. So many of the customers here are not as savvy and they shouldn't need to be. I don't say that as an insult to anyone it is not my intent to offend any of the customers here. I say it because I believe that when we pay for a membership at a site like this, we should be able to TRUST that nothing that we do, no action that we take, ie downloading a game, will cause harm to our computers. We should not need a degree in computer science(an exaggeration but hopefully you get my point) to safely use this website.

Your help and the workaround you have provided is appreciated by myself and I am certain many others as well. Thank you for taking the time and effort to help.

That being said I still have a huge bone to pick with GH. Actually I have several.

1) Why is GH allowing this to continue happening. On their Homepage,2nd paragraph from the last they proclaim that their games are 100%SAFE & free from viruses and malware. It seems to me that that paragraph is not only misleading but is straight out deceptive.

2) Why is this not being addressed\discussed more aggressively by GH staff. I am not perfect and do not expect perfection from others be it a person or a company. I do however expect honesty and culpability. When something gets screwed up take responsibilty, apologize if need be and then take the necessary steps to make things right.

Pamela yes that is sort of what I am wanting to do but I am also looking for a similar approach to the installers that could be kept on a flash drive. I am running Vista 64 and am hoping that wolverine will feel better soon and be able to assist me with this project. I do appreciate your reply and for the shortcuts I am sure that is what I will do. I just have a few questions regarding the installers.

Wolvie dont play around with your healthbuddy we need you here. Get some rest and get back to me when you feel better. PLease.

They appea
red as no longer available after I migrated my acct over from Ra to Gamehouse and I understand that currently installed games are still playable.

This does not help me any after my first clean install that I do twice a year.

Just swa the post on the old board about you tearing down your forum for fear of legal issues.

That is a shame that you would have to fear that when IMHO you have been an asset to REAL over the years. They would be hard pressed to place a value on the customers that you saved them and the hours of support you provided that they did not have to pay someone else to deal with.

There is no way to easily identify threads ,containing new posts which for someone like wolverine, who gives a great amount of his own time trying to help others, must be a major head ache.
I can only imagine how often posts that contain issues or questions which could be easily fixed will end up going unnoticed and unanswered. Not to mention the clutter that will end up being created by posters who don't know how or don't take the time to use a search feature.
There are simple little features that easily prevent these annoyances

Such as moving a thread to the top when a reply is added or little colored icons showing threads containing new posts or currently hot threads.

By the time that many of these customers arrive here seeking help they are frustrated, confused and possibly angry and even very near to canceling their accts and this may be the last place that the company has a chance of turning things around and keeping that customer satisfied.

2)The lack of any way to centrally organize your games and launch them other than via a desktop icon is a big rub for me since I have hundreds of games and I am inclined to do fresh installs of my operating system about every 6 months. If I were to allow all my games to have a desktop icon they would not all fit, even on a 27" monitor.

I realize one of the biggest headaches back at RA was the game client but there must be some type of client or console or whatever you wanna call it that allows for organization of both RA and Gamehouse games. I would even settle for a tutorial on an easy method to DIY.

3) the way these forums are currently set up and the lack of basic features is pretty pathetic. I will continue below due to a character limit I have no way of keeping track of and which I keep exceeding.

I am doing my best to adjust to all the changes and as of yet I have not lost my cool. Bear in mind that I still do not know how my " No Longer Available" games will be dealt with which is going to be a deal breaker for me if I end up losing these games. I have not yet contacted CS about these games as I am waiting for a reply asking what I can expect from CS when I do contact them. I have walked away from RA in the past due to CS issues and I prefer to go into any conversation with them as knowledgeable as possible.

If what you are asking is for suggestions or things we would like to see changed I have a few simple ones, none of these are deal breakers though.

1) If you are going to have a character limit in forum posts common sense would be to have a character counter near the text box

continued below due to character limit

Tried the URL you posted back on the old RA forum but i was redirected to proboards Home page and could not find a way to navigate to your new forum.

Thanks

I need your advice on the best way to create a personalized folder containing all my my game install files and shortcuts to launch them from so that my desktop isn't entirely covered with game icons as I have hundreds of games. If you would prefer to keep the discussion here so that others who may want a similar approach to organizing all games in one location (both RA and Gamehouse) I am fine with that but wasn't sure about cluttering up the Gamehouse forum with this topic.

Either way let me know please.

You have no idea how comforting it is to know that you, "Tech Forum Guy Extrordinaire" has decided to continue your long history of helping others here on the new site.

Those of us who have known you for years on the Real Arcade forums know exactly how valuable your help is and now you are able to share all that you know with the Gamehouse crew.

Gamehouse members you will learn very quickly how lucky we all are that wolverine has so quickly made his presense known on this forum. He truly is one of the most knowledgeable persons around when it comes to the issues faced by customers of Gamehouse\Real Arcade and how tirelessly he works to help us all resolve our issues.

I am a big fan but only because he has proved himself time and again.

So far I have found that 14 games that I purchased show up as "no longer available". I have only been able to find the vague response of "Please contact customer Support" When I tried to find out whether Gamehouse\Real Arcade is going to compensate me for these games.

I have found in the FAQ that if they are currently installed ,I can play them. However since I frequently do a clean install of my operating system I will soon lose these games. Some of them are not installed anyways so there goes any thought of backing them up before my next *housecleaning*.

Has anyone yet contacted CS about the games that are no longer available? If so, what was the resolution that you were offered? if any?

Also has it mattered whether or not these games were purchased on a Gamepass Account that is currently active?

Thank you in advance to anyone that has completed this process and responds with an answer.
