Oh and once you free the gardener you will know the date to set set the left dial to the month (like if it had said September it would be the number nine because it is the ninth month) then the other is for the other number given to you by the gardener. Enjoy now that you know how to solve it. Oh and you will need to save the last person in the mirror before you get to do the marble puzzled door in that hallway on the first floor.
