Well, I downloaded it onto my laptop for the first time recently at the sale price. I had given up on it before when I was playing on my desktop b/c of glitches. I checked the version and I have the right version, but still can't get the head in the portal! Gamehouse, any news from dev regarding the supposed update?

Hey Ya'll

FOUND ANSWER TO MISSING LOCATIONS ON THE CITY MAP!!!!!

Just went through the saloon segment, clicked on the city map and there was no new area to go to. I clicked back on the saloon, walked through all the rooms then accidentally left the scene. Here's how.

In the saloon, when you're finished go out to the front of the building then move the cursor toward the bottom of the screen (toward you in the picture). Your character will then walk away from the building, there is a cut scene and then the city map pops up with the new location! It's that easy! I can't believe I found that soooo by accident. I was very lucky. But if you don't walk out of the scene, you won't get the new location.

Hope that helps.

I just looked through the other topics and no one mentioned having any trouble with the Move Spell. I read a walkthrough to see what I was doing wrong and it says to click the yellow bolt button and drag it to the object you want to use it on, like the chandelier in the saloon, then click again. I've done it a bunch of times and on the bulls head in the billiard room. It doesn't work! I remember having a tough time getting it to work on the object in the first chapter, but eventually got it.

Help! Anyone have advice on how to do it so it works? Is it just very specific where I need to click on the object or something?

I just have the regular version of the game, not the premium addition, if that makes any difference.

Thanks, ya'll for any help.

Hey Gamehouse,

This was an excellent game! Apparently I'm not the only one who thinks so. So why are you not carrying the follow-up game? I saw it when looking for an answer to one of the puzzles for Part I. I'm positive its out there and I would love to play it. Chop chop! Send my request the the purveyors of new games and have them get on it, say, yesterday! LOL In all seriousness, I would love to get this game.

Thanks,
Mic

I exit from the main screen also by right-clicking the icon on the task bar. Maybe that is only available from Windows 7? I don't remember ever being able to do that before. I guess I'm lucky, other than that one glitch, these programs have been working fine. I did test them out during my hour before I bought it. I have some other games that just would not work. I try now to just play the newer games that are made for Windows 7.

I just found the answer to my own question. In Mystery PI Los Angeles the special item to find is a badge.

So in each scene you should find a key, an apple and a badge.

Cool, Mic

Hi All, I found by accident in Mystery PI New York that in addition to the key and apple in each scene that gets you a special bonus, if you find and click on the magnifying glass each time you get another bonus.

So my question is this, does anyone know if there is a bonus item in the Los Angeles game, and if so, what is it? I know to find the key and the film canister, but is there a third unannounced item in each scene that will give an extra bonus?

Thanks!

After you put in the fuses and all lights show green, the lights should come on by themselves. You don't have to throw a switch or look for a place to turn them on. Try waiting for the lights to come on before closing the window for the fuse box. The screen will flicker a few times and then you'll have light.
Hope this helps, if they don't come on like they are supposed to, you may have a glitch. If so, try downloading the game again after you uninstall it. You are not so far into the game that you will really lose anything important that you can't just do over.
