Can't play game for trophies and game crashs when using magazines

I can't figure out how to play the game for the trophies at each location. There is no explanation in the help except that there are special tasks. I am up to Hong Kong and have gotten expert on each level but no way to do the trophies.

Also, every time I try to use the magazine for hearts the program crashes and has to restart.
