I am not sure what would appeal to me, other than games.

The reason I suggested some constructive ideas, was if we don't ask, we don't get. It never hurts to try.

I am going to join the party here.

My last four days have been spent tracking down a stolen cargo shipment of computers. What FUN!

No worries, I found them today and got them back.

Lets just say the beer intake was not good for me! LOL. Have to go on a diet now.

Okay, here I agree with Poppa on the "Amazon" issue.

Please remember that the initial offering of gift cards was suggested and condoned by? Amazon of course.

It was also "Amazon" that pulled the program, not Gamehouse. If the chicken butt company did that, there would still be threads showing up with the same gripes.

This decision is not made by Gamehouse, so please, stop bringing it up. I thought this thread was meant to have constructive ideas on OTHER potential rewards that Gamehouse could implement. Please respectfully suggest other types of rewards, and who knows? Maybe we will get some feedback.

actually with the coin rewards, you can redeem points to purchase a game (free basically). I only purchase games I want to keep. My funpass works fine for me.

Why is it "nonsense"? It is actually quite fun using your imagination to see who can come up with the best way to gut and/or torture each other. You may feel like you are dealing with a bunch of teenagers, but IMHO, it helps keep us young at heart and our minds sharp. Don't knock what you don't understand.

Coors, I can understand a few threads, but not as many as there are. Also, when there is a serious discussion going on, the appearance of silly comments detracts from the conversation. It makes the conversation almost stop completely. This is the part I do not like regarding the silliness. To each their own, I say. Silliness does have a place on forums, just not the whole forum. This was my point.

On Tue Feb 21 15:01:03 PST 2012, kujo2006 said:

What's a "morph" thread, and what does "who is gutting who" mean? Or, is it better I don't ask?

There are some threads over at the pond where it is all about chainsaws, pitchforks and chasing each other with sharp objects. Quite silly and there are too many to count. Even some of the more constructive threads end up with this nonsense in them. If you ever spend the time to read some of the long running threads, you will find some of this nonsense going on in them as well. This is why I stated "who is gutting whom" in my message. Makes me feel like I am dealing with a bunch of teenagers.

Why do you think this chat forum has never really 'taken off'?

Snipped post for the relevant portion.

This may sound snarky but it is not meant that way. Maybe this forum is not as big as the pond's one because it is not filled with "morph" threads. I find it refreshing to come to this forum to read others' comments. The posts here are usually constructive and not silly. I really get tired of having to go through 6 pages to find a new post that might interest me. I do not care who has morphed, who is gutting who, or just plain silly threads.

I am looking for a Mahjongg type game called Four Winds. I had this on CD for an old computer, but cannot get it to work now on my Win7 puter. Does GH have any of these type of games?

I hope you will all have fun like you used to do. GH is actually a fun place to be and they do have some wonderful games. You will like it over here.

mjunaid6 wrote: Can you please explain that from which island (purple, yellow or dirty land) scouts can move to that hidden island that you are talking about..

and what about yellow and red spheres around the rock on yellow island???

You have to find the aqualung first. Use the portal and crystals to move to different islands until you can get the chest on top left island.

There is an island in the middle of the circling sharks. Place your explore flag in that area and wait for a scout to make it across. You may lose your scouts a couple of times, but eventually one will get there. The totem is there.

Take the assembled fishing rod and place it on the rings in the water. You will get a fish. take the fish to the penguin guy and give it to him.

Fill the 5 liter jug, empty it to the 3 liter jug and keep going until you have four liters.

With the last attempt I now cannot open the mailbox to get the red crayon out to color "60" in the hallway, however on my other two attempts I was able to get that done. Please help.
MaPea

MaPea, you do the fireplace and the gas near the end of the game. If you have the crystal already, go back to the main square and put on a pedestal, it will then open up another area for you to work on.

only five staffs are set. no more posts opened. now what? please be kind, i'm old.

Now you have to line up the energy spheres so that they "step up" to the towers that they associate with. You do that by clicking on the little statues between them. Once you have them lined up the next staff stand will open. No worries, nanmac, I'm old too lol!

The best way to do this quest is to only pick up one staff at a time. Leave the staff beside the obelisk. The obelisk will tell you who the staff belongs to. Click on the temple where the open post is and it will tell you who needs to be put on the post. You can do the lights at the end after all eight staff are placed.

Dont forget one staff is in the locked skull box. Your fighters have to destroy it.

Yes, it is hard to find. Look in the cloud cover in the crevices. Can't remember where they all are, but the last blue one is on the pyramid top right.

If you go back to Monkey Island you will see that you still have a monkey statue head in your inventory. Give it to the chief and Liana will unlock.

you need to use the idol to open the last part of first island. Melt the ice, the pine cone is in that section after you kill the yeti's.

did you click on the lone tree in middle of island? on the beach. Click it a few times and it will fall over creating a bridge to another island where the other fireflies are.

had to add beach, forgot that part, not in middle of island itself, should be south east of forest entrance. go to beach and look for a single tree on the beach.

Just wanted to say, the game was not divided into parts by GH. That was done by the developer about a year ago. This originally was a "very" large file adventure game. They split it into 3 parts to make it easier to download. And of course, to make more money.

Just found out that the developers of Totem Tribe and the Gold version (which is coming here soon) are going to make a sequel! Look for it in 2012.

Just another fyi. FISH will NEVER get this game from this developer. So if you want it, get it here. Direct quote from Berserker at dev site.

Mooma, actually it is the layout of the forums and where they are located on the main page. Most of the "other" people I have talked with don't even know there is a forum here. That is the reason they went elsewhere.

Just for GH information. All the people I am talking to have also left the "original" site we were on. Most have gone to one or two other sites. If you want to know which ones, send me an e-mail.

Mr. Bill, thank you for the timely response. It definitely helps to keep the interest in the site. As a former member of another site I can honestly say, forums work. Please advise the higher ups that we come here to check chat, game questions and other stuff before we search out games. The overall gamer experience is now expecting a forum to play word games, chat, tell jokes and get insight on other games. If you added to your forums, you would attract many more customers. I am on another forum site, not a gaming site, but they talk about games alot. I can recommend GH on that site without worry of violating any rules. I know many have said that the forums here lack something and that is why they went elsewhere. BUT, they are all interested.

On Fri Apr 01 16:57:25 PDT 2011, kujo2006 said:

Dear GH, just something i noticed, and its a GOOD thing. Your forum pages list the last "date" of a post. Very easy to see a dormant thread that way. And they seem to be in date order too. If you do revamp the forums, please keep that portion.

I respectfully suggest that GH start listening. I know a lot of "other" forum people are looking at switching to this site. The main reason they haven't is the forum is TOO quiet. They like to get a daily dose of "chit chat" and then check out the games. I am sure that Pandora knows exactly what I am talking about. Even tho I had a different user name over at the other one. Could not use it here as it was already in "use" apparently. Oh well, ce la vie.

On Thu Mar 31 09:52:41 PDT 2011, kujo2006 said:

Pandora, I checked out several sites recommended to me and this one is as close as you are going to get to the other one. Also, they have quite a few games people have raved about that WILL NOT be on the other one. I am fine with not getting the MCF games here. The last two were in my opinion totally off track on the storyline. I think if we just have some patience, the games we do want, will eventually arrive here. Some of the games offered as new on the other site are already here. Enjoy your gaming.

By the way, I agree with Poppa, Sleepy Hollow is a good game.

On Wed Mar 30 18:35:30 PDT 2011, kujo2006 said:

Pandora, sounds like you and I came from the same place, LOL. I chose the funpass so I can play all the games unlimited. I was spending WAY too much on games. I think you will like the moritimer beckett games. I certainly did and I have not bought the second parables game. Going to wait until it is released here, which could be a year from now, but I am not in a hurry.

On Tue Mar 29 11:34:35 PDT 2011, kujo2006 said:

Hi pandora, I too just registered in February. I chose the funpass option. Main reason is I can play any game on the site at any time. Granted I don't own them unless I purchase them, but at least I can play a game that interests me at the beginning and not wasting money on one that I find after playing I dont like and will not play again.

The only issue you may run into is the time difference between UK and USA for the customer support live chat. So far, I am happy with my customer service experiences.

I left another site as the games and quality have gone downhill and the forums over there are getting a bit nasty. I hope you stick around and enjoy.
