I am eager to display my ignorance so that I 'may' become educated. When you use an external drive do you play from that drive or are they just backed up. If you play from the external drive does it slow down game play? I would love to clean up my 'C' drive (too many games, lol) and play from an external drive.

1. What would be the lesser of 2 evils? A. a colonoscopy. B. Having a tooth pulled.
I have had two teeth pulled NP! Colonsocopy scares me to death. They found cancer when my husband had one and now he is gone.
2. Do you have any scars? If so, how many and where are they?
Lots of scars. I live to live, maybe I should have more caution...
3. Do you have any tattoos? If so, how many and where are they?
I would love to get my back done with two dragons. One facing forward and one watching my back.
4. If you could turn back the clock, is there any one major change in your life that you would make ?
I wouldn't change anything. Everything I have experienced good and not so good have made me the person I am today.
5. Not a question but a riddle: "what is the longest word in the dictionary"?

Poppa, The kids and games thing. My daughter played many learning computer games. Some of her favorite games were Pajama Sam, Freddy fish, and a car one (I can't remember the name off the top of my head). She had them all. She rarely has time to play these days and I worry about that. She is an Honor student taking some college courses along with her 'regular' classes. She is also doing 4 honor credits per year.

Elle, You have my empathy! My daughter is 15 and has traveled extensively for her age. She has been to Europe twice, Hawaii several times, and goes to a variety of summer camps she loves. All without me! I love to give her wings and watch her fly and experience the world. That said I hate it when she flies and I'm not there to make sure everything is perfect for her or fix something that goes awry. I do know that when something has gone wacky and she has resolved the issue on her own I am so proud of her I could positively bust! She is a wonderful young lady learning to be her own person. What more could a parent as for! (Ok, lots, lol)

I have several friends that travel on motorcycles with their pets! One has a Yorkie that loves to ride on the tank with a special pad/harness. The other has a poodle mutt and she rides in a special carrier that attaches to the backrest on the back luggage rack. There are lots of options out there. Just be careful and research lots as some are not really safe for your pet. Some pets love it and some don't.

Yusef, Please help with the food thing! I have a Golden Retriever that had to lose 80 lbs. Hardest thing I ever did in my life. She was a puppy mill puppy and had food issues. I figured being secure with always having food available when she wanted it was the best emotional therapy. Then she blew out both back knees from being overweight and having a genetic problem (one of many). Brought new meaning to the saying "Love someone to death". My vet put her on SD to lose weight. She has also chewed her feet constantly and her ears get red and swollen. I figured it was a food allergy and have switched her to the SD Sensitive Stomach. It costs about $73 per 30# bag. Would love a healthier suggestion as I am obviously trying to do right by her. She is 7 years old.

Wow, just wow! Y'all found one of my (many, lol) pet peeves. Can't stand Norton for some of the same reasons as mentioned here. Had the same problems with AVG on my daughters computer. It is still there and rears it's ugly head from time to time on hers. I went to VIPRE and never had any problems ( ok, one. I got a false positive on a Delicious.exe game and they fixed it. Very friendly and a real person answers the phone.) We had two computers and was able to get a mutli license. When I got my daughter a laptop for homework they added it to my two year license for free. Never thought about the phones, hmmmm.

Ellie, I used to be a member there and have 6 credits that I have to use by 6/28 or lose them. You are welcome to 3 of them to get the games as I am unlikely to find 6 games there that I would even want by then. I think I would need an e-mail address to gift them to you. I don't have as much opportunity as I used to as there are more people on the road that don't play as I do. The 'posted' speed limit is 60. The 'suggested' speed is 35 on the corners. I am so not telling what I was actually going but it definitely wasn't over the 'posted' speed limit.

I think I would receive the 'Incredibly Stupid' (yes I did try to think of another word because I really don't like that one) award in the rodent department. A few year ago this adorable creature showed up one evening. I hunted and hunted on the internet for a nocturnal ground squirrel and could not find one. When our wildlife biologist came to check on the bats I asked him about it. He said "Oh my God, you're an idiot" (we're friends, he can get away with that) that was a bushy tailed wood rat! Get rid of them! They can go through and destroy the wiring in your house in less than an hour. Well, needless to say I am totally paying for going against my belief of not feeding wildlife and creating an artificial habitat. Those critters are still here!

There is a way to have your games all download to a 'folder' on your desktop to avoid the clutter that I abhorred (yes I'm OCD). However, deleting the games is very cumbersome. I really don't know why (perhaps because I have so many programs on my computer) but my 'Add/Remove programs' takes about five minutes to load. Hence, I don't do it very often and I end up with a lot of unused games on my computer that doesn't happen with a Game Manager that makes deleting games easier. I don't want GH to 'be' another site I would just like some of the conveniences offered by other sites I use. Queuing is very nice also.

The electricity generated for hybrids have nothing to do with coal plants although your assessment is otherwise valid. What a lot of people do not realize about a major downside to hybrids is the battery pack providing the power has a shelf live of about 100,000 miles. When they die, the replacement of this essential component is outrageously expensive. It is the primary reason I have yet to consider a hybrid as a driving option.

Indeed and what about the old battery disposal?

Umm Poppa, yes there are other medical reasons to take birth control. My 15 year old daughter is taking them because she is an asthmatic and the steroids that she has to take to control it have stunted her pituitary gland. If she didn't take them she would have permanent damage to her health and no possibility of ever having children of her own. It is definitely a bonus that she would not have a pregnancy that could put her life goals on the skids for an unwise choice in the 'heat' of the moment.

I sat here after reading all this and posting my last post and got really angry. I felt like this was just one more place to be 'judged'. To be told what I 'should' be feeling, thinking, or doing. I have been getting a great deal of that lately with what is going on in my life right now. My emotions are all over the board. I then realized I felt alive. Thank you Granny.

OK, Poppa this is one of the judgmental things I was talking about when I was lurking instead of joining discussions. Personally if I don't care for a topic I don't read or join the discussion rather than 'force' my opinion on others that may have a different one. Discussion of differing view points is valuable in my opinion, telling others what is appropriate for them removes discussion and instills judgement. What is right for one is not right for all. Nor should it be. If we were all the same the world would be a very boring place indeed.

I would find that difficult and not worth the effort. When my daughter started kindergarten I was called in to the school as they wanted to move her to the 3rd grade. While I was waiting for my appointment I was reading a bulletin board that had senior essay's posted on it. I was horrified!
