My god, hunt... are you actually serious? Okay, ONE picture. Happy now?

Actually, yes. It shows just what the base topic of this thread is talking about, selecting where to insert graphics and the level of consideration shown to those who have an opposing view. No more or less respectful than lighting up in front of someone who just told you they can't stand cigarette smoke. Someone says they don't like it so someone else does it.

The OP did just what he was told to do. Started his own thread and said he doesn't like pictures, so look at what he got.

Because, hunt, that was the original question, in case you didn't read it:
"If you could fix just one..repeat just one of the worlds problems..."

That's right. So you do your one thing and let others do their one thing. Don't tell them that theirs should wait until yours is done. Maybe I did not make that clear - sorry.

Why limit ourselves to one thing at a time? Why not let:

medical researchers and doctors deal with those issues
structural engineers build hospitals, schools, housing and dams
transportation engineers build the roads to access areas in need - how else will they get your food?
teachers educate
musicians lift the soul

As soon as someone or a group of someones try to put their effort ahead of others we end up where we are now.

The question was open as to what each individual would like to do or see happen and just as in real life, each should do or contribute what they are strong at, or what speaks to their soul in order to obtain the most expedient and highest quality result. Let the carpenter build and the farmer farm.

I don't believe I said that lack of utopia is a world problem or any problem at all. Rather just the opposite.

Used in the context of my entire post I was referring to the elimination of "all the perceived bad" as in where I talked about eliminating starvation rather than "all hunger", certain degrees of illness and pain rather than "all illness and pain".

On Tue Apr 06 11:39:31 PDT 2010, hunt101 said:

It could occasionally create the good things that people wish for while editing out the bad repercussions they don't foresee in their wish.

For example:
Wipe out starvation - yes, hunger - no. Hunger is a healthy driving force.

Wipe out incurable debilitating illness - yes, wipe out all sickness - no - without bad there is no good.

wipe out global warming - no, wipe out the greed and self indulgence that outweighs it - yes.

Utopia would require the destruction of the human race as we know it, since by it's definition there would be no want, or drive, or invention or creation, no inquiry. It would be nothing but existence. No chocolate, no computers, no games, no hate - therefore no love. One can't feel fulfilled without having felt empty.

That is why evil was also created. Never understood why believers do not know that.

The rules don't apply to them. They can point fingers, insinuate, accuse but everyone else should take their problem to the moderators. Fish or playing card - a bully is a bully is a bully.

jackson101, in case you are not aware:

According to the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary, to "plagiarize" means

* to steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another) as one's own
* to use (another's production) without crediting the source
* to commit literary theft
* to present as new and original an idea or product derived from an existing source.

In other words, plagiarism is an act of fraud. It involves both stealing someone else's work and lying about it afterward.

Jackson, as I just explained to hunt, that wasn't "in" photobucket, it was in Room's personal album, which is off-limits to the public, and had yet to be posted here by her. Photos that show in Photobucket are up for grabs, yes, but not those in people's "private" albums, which you specify when you set yours up. So no one's accusing you... it was obvious that you took it from her album

Good morning, jackson... Since you have yet avoided addressing any questions or welcomes I've put out to you since you signed in (and I was the second to welcome you here), I'm just wondering if you'll finally respond. Was there a reason that you "stole" the slideshow Room was working on in Photobucket and posted it in her "Hugs and Kisses" thread before she could? She then had to delete her work so it would disappear from your post. I'm just really wondering why you did that, and it really bugs me that you offered no explanation when it was pointed out. Other than that, I do wish you a pleasant day.

Why? Because when people keep telling others to follow the rules, follow the rules, follow the rules, then they should follow the rules. That means take it to the mods. That doesn't mean to call people liars, thieves and hackers in public. Calling someone a thief is not asking them anything?

On Thu Mar 25 12:24:42 PDT 2010, hunt101 said:

If this is room's issue then why were you in several threads going on about it?

On Thu Mar 25 12:22:11 PDT 2010, hunt101 said:

Calling someone a hacker and a thief is not against the rules? If an account at Photobucket was hacked then Photobucket should be notified and GH should be notified that they are in possession of "stolen property" - no? There are several graphics posted here that are copyrighted. Should those people be called a thief on the boards, or should one contact GH to investigate the matter? As you said, just because someone can copy and paste something doesn't mean it is proper to do it.

Hi, hunt... this wasn't "in" photobucket... it was in Room's personal album that she has locked to the public, as I do mine. So our pictures don't appear as available in photobucket itself. However, you can "hack" your way into someone's album, and I'll leave it at that.

If that is the case then why not report it to gamehouse and photobucket? There have been constant reminders to follow the rules, have there not?
