Life on the farm can be so much fun especially at Christmas time and for Hannah this was the happiest time of the year because all of her family and friends would all come over and have a huge celebration however as fate would have it this Christmas would be like no other Hannah had ever experienced or probably would ever experience again and here's where our story begins. Just like any other girl Hannah was a carefree girl with lots of friends and one special friend named Mugsey her dog but there was also someone that Hannah didn't like nor did anyone else in the neighborhood and her name was Ms. Snow now Ms. Snow was a rich old cranky woman that owned practically the whole town and for some reason she particularly didn't like Hannah and her dog Mugsey, now both of them were a bit on the mischievous side and while walking home one day Mugsey decided to go through Ms. Snow's garden and have some fun but that didn't turn out exactly the way he planned she caught Mugsey and threatened Hannah that if the dog ever got in her yard or garden again she would have the dog picked up and done away with, this upset Hannah so bad she grabbed Mugsey from Ms. Snow and ran all the way home to tell everyone. Once she got home everyone was really busy with their daily routine and didn't have the time to stop and talk to Hannah plus there was a severe snow storm coming in so everyone was in a hurry to get everything secured and safe. When she arrived home she was trying to talk to anyone who would listen and as she was running around trying to find someone to talk to she looked up and saw a huge white wall coming straight for the farm and one of the farm hands was running around screaming it's a blizzard, it's a blizzard and before Hannah could get inside the house she was hit by a huge snowball that seemed to form out of nowhere it hit her on the head knocking her out. While she lay on the ground with her head spinning out of control she could hear Ms. Snow yelling and as she opened her eyes she saw her riding on an ice covered broom cackling away saying I'll freeze you my pretty and your little dog too. This scared Hannah so bad she grabbed Mugsey and held him close to her and then all of a sudden there was a big thud and Hannah opened her eyes to see the most amazing place she had ever seen before in her life. She picked up Mugsey and brushed off the snow and stepped into a winter wonderland and then she heard happy laughter but could see no faces and while she was looking around Mugsey jumped out of her arms and ran straight for this beautiful blue ball of ice that was approaching. When Hannah looked up she saw the ball touch the ground and there right before her eyes the ball of ice disappeared and there was a beautiful woman that seemed to sparkle all over, scared Hannah grabbed Mugsey up and held him tight and the lady came up to her and said don't be afraid my dear I will not harm you and Hannah said who are you and where am I and the lady answered my name is Icy I'm the winter witch and what kind of witch are you and Hannah said I'm not a witch I'm just a girl that got caught in a horrible snowstorm and ended up here and then Icy said, oh well what kind of witch is your little fuzzy friend there and Hannah said this is Mugsey and he's not a witch he's my pet. Hearing laughter but seeing no faces Hannah asked Icy who was laughing and Icy said oh it's just the little people of Christmas Land you see my dear you have brought Christmas back to Christmas Land because your huge snowball killed the wicked witch that took Christmas away from all of these people a long time ago and now you are their hero, you my dear have gave Christmas back to them and this land. Hearing more laughter Hannah looked around and Icy told the little people that everything was fine and they could come out and all of a sudden Hannah was surrounded by happy little people singing and dancing all around her, but that would not last because there was a huge gray cloud quickly approaching and when it landed a woman made of mostly ice stepped out and said who did this who killed my sister, scared Hannah grabbed Icy's arm and said I thought you said I killed the witch and Icy said oh you did but this is her sister Snowzilla and she is worse than the other one. Snowzilla approached her sister laying under the huge snowball and reached for her ice slippers and as she was about to touch them they melted away. Snowzilla turned around and saw the slippers on Hannah's feet and told her to give them to her and she had no business with them. Hannah reached down to take off the slippers and Icy told her not to remove them that they were full of magic and that's why Snowzilla wanted them. Snowzilla tried to remove them herself and when she did she got knocked to the ground when she stood up she tried to approach Hannah but Icy stepped in front of Hannah and said I got this. Icy told Snowzilla it was time for her to leave and Snowzilla gave out a wicked laugh and told Hannah I'll freeze you my pretty and your little dog too, and Icy said Snowzilla you will not harm this child and furthermore if I hadn't promised mother on her death bed that I wouldn't kill you I would kill you now be gone before I turn you into a puddle and in a flash Snowzilla disappeared. Icy turned to Hannah and asked if she was okay and she said she was fine and then Hannah asked Icy is she really your sister and Icy laughed and turned to Hannah and said it's a long story, now we have to get you on your way back home before she decides to come back. Icy told Hannah to follow the snowy road to the frozen waterfall and beyond the frozen waterfall would be the town of Oz once she was there she would need to find the Blizzard of Oz and he could help her get home. Hannah and Mugsey said their goodbye's and began their journey. After walking for miles they reached a crossroad and Hannah was confused on which way to go and then she heard a voice say well any way you choose is pretty good from what I've seen all roads lead to the frozen waterfall. Hannah looked around to see who was talking but could see nobody the only thing she could see was a slowly melting snowman so she approached him and said was that you talking to me but heard nothing and as she began to walk away she heard the voice again and she quickly turned around and saw the snowman's mouth moving and she said it was you I knew it. She went over to the snowman and introduced herself and asked him his name and he said my name is Mr.Salty and it's a pleasure to meet you are you traveling alone with your little friend and Hannah said yes I'm on my way to see the Blizzard to see if he can help me get home in time for Christmas and Mr. Salty said well if you don't mind could I come along with you maybe he could help me as well, you see I keep melting and if it doesn't stop I may not last much longer and Hannah said of course I would love the company and off they went. While they were walking they both grew hungry and decided to stop and find something to eat and they were in luck they were standing in a gingerbread forest full of cookies and as they were eating they could hear soft crying and a voice saying just my luck nobody wants to eat me and Hannah got up and looked around and then she saw a plain gingerbread man standing all alone when she approached him she ask if he was the one crying and he said yes how would you feel if day after day people stop by and eat every other cookie but you, I'm just a plain old gingerbread man with no pretty icing or sprinkles. Hannah turned to Mr. Salty and he gave Hannah a wink and she said you know we're on our way to see the Blizzard to get me home for Christmas and to see if he can help Mr. Salty to stop melting I bet he could help you as well and the gingerbread man smiled and jumped with joy and said do you really think so and Hannah said sure it's worth a try at least isn't it and the gingerbread man said you know what it sure is my name is Jingle and I'm forever in your debt whether the Blizzard helps me or not. So our three friends set off on their journey. It wasn't long before things began to look dark and scary and Hannah said I think we are coming up on the haunted forest that Icy was telling me about and Mr. Salty said yes we are and Jingle said well don't you worry your pretty little head none you are safe with us we won't let any harm come to you or your pup and they both took Hannah by the hand and slowly approached the haunted forest and right before they were getting ready to step inside Hannah said do you think we'll see any ghost and Jingle said well I'm not to sure but we may run into some unwanted Christmas presents like socks, underwear, and ties and the three began to chant as they walked through the haunted forest socks, underwear, and ties oh my ! It wasn't long before our friends reached the end of the haunted forest safe and sound or so they thought all of a sudden a big gray cloud approached and there was Snowzilla she tried to get the slippers but Mr. Salty and Jingle did everything they could to protect their friend but Snowzilla hit Mr. Salty with big burst of sunshine causing him start melting and she threw molded sprinkles and old icing all over Jingle and as she was about to grab the slippers Mugsey came up and bit her on the ankles causing her to run away. Our three friends cleaned themselves up and started back on their journey and it wasn't long before they began to hear faint lonely growls coming from within a cave so they decided to take a look and what they saw shocked them there in front of them was the meanest and most evil looking abominable snowman they had ever seen. He jumped out at Mugsey scaring him and that made Hannah mad and she walked up to him and slapped him across the face and said why did you have to scare my dog like that he wasn't going to hurt you, you big bully and the snowman began to cry and said I know but this is the first time I've ever seen anything smaller than me so I thought I would have some fun and Hannah said fun you scared him you big oaf and the abominable snowman said no I'm not big at all I'm very short in fact I'm so short I can't decorate my Christmas tree because I can never reach the top to hang the star so I never have a Christmas tree and he began to cry as he removed his platform boots. Hannah walked over to her friends and ask if they thought it would be okay if he came along as well and they all agreed so she told him where they were going and ask if he would like to come with them and he said do you really think he could help me as well and Hannah said well I'm not sure but we can certainly try now dry your tears and let's go she gave him a tissue to wipe his eyes and he said thank you my name is Stumpy and it's a pleasure to meet you all. Our friends were on their way and it wasn't long before they saw the beautiful frozen waterfall and they all began to run as fast as they could. Finally they reached the waterfall and there it was Oz it was the most beautiful place any of them had ever seen. They finally made it to the castle door but couldn't find a doorbell then Hannah saw a big red ball with a sign that said squeeze nose for service. Hannah squeezed the nose and it lit up so bright that it almost blinded them, then a man poked his head out of the door and said who lit that nose and Hannah said I did sir I'm Hannah and I would like to see Mr. Blizzard please so I can get home in time for Christmas and my friends here also need his help we have been traveling such a long time can we please come in and see Mr. Blizzard. The door flung open and the little elf stepped out and said do you have an appointment and Hannah no I didn't know I would need one and the elf said well actually you don't really need an appointment and Hannah said great then can we please come in and see him and the elf said are you kidding me nobody gets to see Mr. Blizzard not me not anybody now be on your way and he slammed the door shut. Hannah turned around and grabbed Mr. Salty and began to cry saying all I want to do is get home for Christmas I miss my family so much and I know my parents are so worried about me and all I want to do is go home. Not knowing the whole time the little elf heard every word she said and had begin to cry himself and he blew his nose so loud that Hannah turned around and saw the little elf hanging out of the peep hole and he said okay come on inside and I'll see what I can do but I'm not making any promises just have a seat and have something to eat you look like you haven't eaten in days, now you stay here and I'll be back in a few minutes. It wasn't long before the little icy elf came back and said he'll see you now and lead our friends down a long dark hallway and when they reached the door Hannah went to open the door and a loud voice said don't open that door just yet little lady. Hannah stepped back and then the doors opened up and a voice said you may enter. Once our friends were inside all they could see was a big red curtain and then a screen came down and there was lots of smoke and thunder and then all of a sudden they heard a voice say will the one named Hannah step forward and tell me what it is you want. Hannah moved towards the big screen and said I want to go home for Christmas and then the voice said I see and who are those bozos with you and what do they want and Hannah began to tell him and he said not you missy your friends need to tell me. Mr. Salty stepped up first and said hello your honor I would like you to help me stop melting, then Jingle stepped up and said I would like you to make me beautiful so people will want to eat me, and last but not least Stumpy stepped up and he was shaking and trembling so much that he fell down and Mr. Blizzard let out a huge laugh and that scared Stumpy so bad that he took off running and jumped out of a window. Hannah then stepped back up to the screen and said how dare you laugh at him like that he came to you for help all he wants is to be able to hang his star on his Christmas tree and you laugh at him you should be ashamed of yourself. Just then there was a loud rumble and Mr. Blizzard said hold your tongue little lady I have every intention of helping you and your clumsy friend but first there is something that you need to do for me once you do this I will grant all of your wishes. Hannah said okay what do we need to do and Mr. Blizzard said you must go and melt the evil snow witch Snowzilla and bring me back her frozen heart once you do this I will grant all of your wishes now be gone it's my lunch time and I'm hungry so be on your way. Hannah and her friends came up with a plan to melt the witch and they were on their way to her castle once there they stormed the castle grounds and Hannah took a big bucket of hot water and poured it on the witch while she was asleep and once she was melted Hannah picked up her frozen heart and out the door they went and back to the castle of Mr. Blizzard. Once inside the castle they gave the frozen heart to the little elf and he took it to Mr. Blizzard and when came back he said he is ready to see you now. Once they got inside the room Mugsey decided to see just exactly what was behind the big red curtain so he tugged, and tugged on the curtain until finally he pulled it back and standing there was a short chubby man with a long white beard and rosey red cheeks. Hannah approached the man and said your no Blizzard at all your a fake and the man replied your right my dear I'm not Mr. Blizzard however I am Santa Claus and I have every intention of granting your wishes. First he took Mr. Salty by the hand and said my friend all you need is this to stop melting and he placed a beautiful bright red shiny top hat on Mr. Salty's head and said keep this on and it will keep the sun from shining on your head and you will not melt anymore and you will be in good shape, then he took Jingle by the hand and put pretty red frosting and sparkling sprinkles on him and said my friend you don't know how lucky you are that nobody wants to eat you that has got to be a painful experience but if that is what you want then you should be in good shape now and let me be the first to say you are the most beautiful gingerbread man I've ever seen and he rubbed his fat tummy and said I for one should know I've eaten plenty in my time, then he took Stumpy by the hand and said my friend all you need is a step stool and you should be able to hang your star on the Christmas tree and he handed Stumpy a step stool and he stood on it and was able to reach anything he wanted to. He then walked up to Hannah and she said I don't think there's anything in that pretty red bag that can get me home for Christmas and he said your right my dear there isn't but yours couldn't be stored in my bag because it's me and Hannah had a confused look on her face and Mr. Blizzard said you see I travel the world one night a year and it just so happens that this is the night and I just happen to be going to your place and I'll be more than glad to drop you off only if you promise to go straight to bed and fall fast asleep and she promised. She was saying her goodbye's to her new friends and all of a sudden the sleigh took off without her she was left there crying with all of her new friends and they said it's alright Hannah we don't want you to go home we want you to stay here with us we love you and she smiled, but all of a sudden a bright blue ball of ice was approaching and all of a sudden an enchanted carriage appeared and out stepped Icy and said Hannah you have always had the power to go home at anytime you wanted too all you had to do was step out of the icy slippers close your eyes and say I'll be home for Christmas. Hannah said is it too late for me to do this now and Icy said no my darling child it's never too late and when Hannah took off the icy slippers and said I'll be home for Christmas she was lifted into the carriage with Icy and they rode off and as she turned around to wave goodbye to her new friends she knew in her heart that somehow she would be seeing them again and when she got home her whole family was waiting for her including the farm hands and their faces were identical to the new friends she had just left behind and with a smile on her face and a tear in her eye she said to herself I knew in my heart I would see them again and she stepped out of the carriage and into the arms of her family and they had the biggest and best Christmas celebration they had ever had and that night as Hannah was lying in her bed she heard a very familiar voice say with a loud chuckle Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight and as the sleigh was taking off she heard the same voice say with an all too familiar jolly chuckle, a gingerbread man that actually want's to get eaten.
