They recommended running the game in Win98 emulation, tried that, and got an error message from the beginning. Tried closing out of absolutely every background program running (including virus scanners, etc), still the same problem.

And you're correct LaLa66, can't run Funpass games without connection to the internet.

I've replied to the original Support message with this information, hopefully they'll get a fix for this soon.

If all of you haven't done it already, be sure to contact Support directly and tell them you're having this problem. They don't read the forums, but they do answer those direct emails.

I did find a work-around, by simply not attaching that Ring and leaving it in my inventory, I was able to complete the game.

Fortunately the game saves at this point, but I've tried multiple times to get past this point, but the game closes out exactly here every time.
