I think the issue is less of a "GameHouse.com wants more money" issue than a "Game developers need to earn enough to feed their families" issue. With so many companies getting into the games business, prices go down (which is good for us gamers, of course) but it also means there are a lot more crappy games to sift through. So if a really good game comes around, I would think the developers deserve a little more than the base rate... and I'm assuming GH is thinking the same.
I'm all about saving money, but I'm also for supporting the developers that deliver high-quality games (PopCap, GameHouse, TellTale, etc....).
