Here is a summary of the rules for participating in our Forum Community.
The following are the basic rules of conduct that users of the Gamehouse forums are required to adhere to. Failure to comply with these rules of conduct may result in the termination ("banning") of your forum account.
Because every situation is different, all moderation of the Forums is at the discretion of the GameHouse Community Team. These rules are subject to change.
1. While participating in the Forums, you must respect the rights of others to participate in the community. To this end you may not harass, defraud, threaten or cause distress and/or unwanted attention to other members. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Name-calling or other insults
• Posting with the intent of provoking another user or users
• Posting with the intent of inciting or provoking others to action
• Bringing disagreements with someone into unrelated threads
2. You may not use language that the GameHouse Community or its Moderators deem obscene, vulgar, sexually explicit, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, hateful, racially, nationally or ethnically offensive.
The GameHouse Community membership is largely self monitoring and members can flag offensive posts as being inappropriate. Such reports can also be sent directly to the GameHouse Community Moderators via ForumAdmins@gamehouse.com.
The GameHouse Community Moderators may, in their sole discretion, edit or remove any post that has been reported as inappropriate or that they, themselves, deem inappropriate.
3. You may not distribute or spotlight sexually explicit, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, racially, nationally, or ethnically offensive content. This includes posting links to sites which contain any of the above.
4. You may not impersonate any employee of GameHouse, our partners or affiliates, past or present. This includes the use or modification of the GameHouse logo as a forums avatar or signature.
5. You may not violate any local, state, national, or international laws or regulations.
6. You may not market, promote, advertise or solicit products or services for sale or trade within GameHouse Forums. You may not post advertisements for - or links to - websites that are not directly related to - or that are in competition with - GameHouse.
7. You may not form or participate in groups whose ideology is based on or resembles anti-religious, anti-ethnic, anti-sexual orientation, racist, or sexist philosophies.
8. Making short posts - or multiple posts of the same content - in order to move your thread up the Forums ("bumping") or adding to your post count is not allowed.
9. You may not upload or transmit copyrighted material, without the express consent of the copyright holder.
10. You may not post the personally identifiable information of another user, including but not limited to their real name, address, phone number, email address, or links to personal websites without the express consent of that user.
11. You may not re-post Private Messages or E-mails on the Forums without the express consent of the sender.
12. Discussion of religious or political topics is discouraged in the GameHouse Forums but not expressly forbidden. The GameHouse Community Manager and Moderators, in their sole discretion, reserve the right to edit, lock or delete posts on highly controversial topics when elements of the discussion violate any of the other Rules for Using the GameHouse Forums.
13. Do not re-post or quote any materials which violate the Forum Guidelines.
14. Please do not respond to rude or abusive posts. Use the "Report As Inappropriate" option next to the offending post.
15. Users are entitled to one primary account. While secondary accounts are allowed, any account created for the purpose of trolling or otherwise violating these Forums Guidelines will result in the permanent ban of the secondary account and the temporary or permanent ban of the primary account, at the moderators' discretion.
16. We do not discuss disciplinary actions taken against members either with other members or on the forums, and we ask that you do not either. Any threads or posts that mention infractions/bans etc. will be removed and might result in further disciplinary action.
17. Users must not violate, or promote the violation of, GameHouse's terms of service, codes of conduct or end user license agreements.
18. Posting the same thread to multiple forums ("cross-posting") or posting the same content across multiple threads without express permission of the moderators is not allowed. GameHouse Forum Moderators may, in their sole discretion, remove such duplicate or multiple posts.
19. When making a new thread, please take a moment to search existing threads. Many users have the same questions and it helps everyone to keep information about the same topic in one place. At their discretion, the GameHouse Community Team may combine threads with duplicate content.
If your forum account has been banned and you feel this ban is in error, ban appeals may be sent to ForumAdmins@gamehouse.com . Please include your forum account name in all correspondence.
