George, this is a game forum for goodness sake. If what you're doing isn't a personal soapbox, you don't want me to use the terms that truly define it. Stop it!!! Enough already!!!! I am a Christian, but I believe everyone must decide for themselves what is true and real. No one has the right to impost their beliefs on others, and especially I have no right to expect them to believe as I do, nor do you.

Proper sex education MUST be allowed in public schools if you want to decrease the number of abortions. I had sex education that included birth control in 1969, and it affected me immensely in the choices I made as I matured. Abstinence-only sex ed is "head in the sand" stupidity. We must give everyone, male and female, the tools and knowledge to prevent unwanted pregnancies. Kids are sometimes sexually active by the age of 12 (or even earlier). Wake up and give them the tools and the knowledge they need.

George - let it go. This is not the right place. Most pro-lifers are the first to stand in line to demand an execution of a criminal - talk about double standards. Neither you, nor the government has the right to determine what a woman can or can't do with her own body. I again state that I am anti-abortion plus I don't believe it should be used as a convenience, but I remain pro-choice. This is a decision only a woman can make based on her own beliefs. I do not believe it is right for a 13-year old who was raped by her stepfather to be forced to bear his child. Nor do I believe that any conception that occurred due to rape should not be allowed to be terminated (this is the choice of the woman) A woman who could die if she continues with a pregnancy, must be allowed to choose to terminate it (again - her choice, and only her choice). Please let it go. The other thread you initiated on this subject has already been locked. - Enough already!!!!

Bill, while I appreciate that this problem has been resolved, all this is pure BS. It should never have happened. Where is your quality control? Get it together GH - we all paid for this game and don't deserve this. Deleting and redownloading means we have to play it all over again to reach the bonus chapter - NOT FAIR!!

GH - Looking for problems? My luck is awful - if there is one, it will probably find me. Need a tester ?- You know how to contact me.

George, as a male, you have no right to determine what a woman can or can't do with her own body. I am personally anti-abortion, but I will forever be pro-choice. This is a decision a woman needs to make on her own, without interference from anyone (especially government). Teach your daughters your beliefs - that is your right and your duty as a parent, but that isn't the role of government and you have no right to impose your religious beliefs on others. Freedom of religion also means freedom FROM religion.

And BTW - the evil one is Satan, not Satin - you obviously have a lot to learn!

Everyone needs to have insurance. I had a ruptured cerebral aneurysm 3 years ago that, fortunately, I survived with minimal residual side effects (my memory is competely intact, I have no motor dysfunctions, and the only residual problems are terrible handwriting and slightly worse absent-mindedness than I had before - and I was bad before). My hospital bill was over 350,000. I had to pay my deductible ($2500), but without insurance, I would have had to declare bankruptcy. It isn't right or fair for anyone without insurance who faces any medical issue to expect me to pay for it. Bad accidents, bad luck, or bad genes can land anyone in the hospital. Everyone needs to be prepared for that. Plus, if you have insurance, you are more likely to get preventive care - mammograms, colonoscopies, blood work, Pap smears, physical exams, etc. that can detect potential problems long before they become serious or life-threatening. Obamacare Rocks!!!

Unfortunately, a "GamePass" can't be used (GamePass is what all of us who were forced to GH by RA have). I found out the hard way that a GamePass isn't the same thing as a FunPass, although IMHO, I think it should be. Why are those of us who are long-time subscribers treated as second-class subscribers? When I complained, I was informed that I could purchase a FunPass membership - pure BS. Come on GH - treat us from RA as real subscribers!!!!!

How old is your computer? Many of the games require more video RAM than older systems have, although I was able to download and play this game with a 5-year old system that only had 64 mb of video RAM. Once I got my new computer, I stopped having problems like this.

I know, technology will eventually catch up with me and I'll be in the same boat again - half the games won't run. But for now, I'm enjoying playing a lot of games my old system couldn't handle. I have run into one that wouldn't run properly - so the world is better, but not perfect

I have to agree with Yusef - I had been having problems just like most of the ones mentioned in this thread. I just replaced my dinosaur-age computer (XP, 5+ years old) with a new HP that has a pretty decent video card (NVidia GeForce GTX 550ti). No more problems. I'm convinced all the game designers have great video cards, maximum RAM, etc. and a lot of older systems just can't keep up with them. Most of the newer games require quite a bit of video RAM -my new puter has 1GB of video RAM so I hope it will be effective for a long time. (My old puter had an NVidia 6200 with 64 MB of video RAM - what a difference!!!). If you can't afford a new system, or aren't ready to make the purchase, see about upgrading your video card (you will probably need a larger power supply to run it, so be prepared to possibly need to replace that too) and increasing the RAM on your old system to see if that will help.

Open the file the image is in, choose the image (single left click), right click, then chose "set as desktop background" from the menu. You now have the picture you wanted as your desktop background. (instructions are for Windows, but I'm sure Macs have something similar.)
Copyright laws probably do apply, but as long as you are using it only for personal use at home, I doubt you could get into any trouble. Just make sure it doesn't appear anywhere else (like Face Book, MySpace, any commercial site or presentation, etc.)

A very easy way to do it would be to purchase a program called SnagIt from TechSmith (techsmith.com). I use this all the time at work when writing procedures and it is invaluable when creating PowerPoint presentations. SnagIt will copy any image, text box, chart, etc. that is on your screen. The downfall to this is that you will need to play the game to the point where you want to do the screen capture. Do the screen capture (you'll probably need to set the options in the game so it is not running in "full screen" mode) and then save the image as a .jpg file in any document or picture file ("My Documents" or "My Pictures").

Add the battery pack to the lamp in your inventory and then click on the lamp - it will glow purple. Open the note. It has the cave code on it. Move your curser over the back wall to see the images (you can't see them until the lamp is turned on). Match the pictures on the cave wall to the ones in the note. Click on the pictures in the same order they appear on the note. Make sure the image lights up and changes color (on my computer they went from dull purple to bright magenta). Don't move to the next image if the one you clicked on doesn't light up. Click it again if it doesn't light up the first time you click. Once you have them all lit up in the right order the gate will open.

Have you collected all the other objects? The cat will move from the desk to the curtains after you've collected everything else, including printing the missing page. After the cat moves, you will be able to give it the mouse, but you have to be sure you've opened the door of the cat carrier first.

My all time favorite HOG is "Enlightenus" . Most objects found have a purpose and it can sometimes take a while to figure out how they work. I found it to be much more complex than the Mortimer games, which I loved. A newer game that's good is "Voodoo Whisperer - Curse of a Legend". Both of the games in the "Empress of the Deep" series are also very good.

I don't know why, but GH has always charged for premium/special edition games. Several posts have been made asking them to let us use more than one Fun Ticket to get them, but they haven't done it. They have at least lowered the price to Fun Ticket members (down to $13.99 from $19.99), which is something fairly new. The last Mortimer game I bought I paid the full price.

Use the hairpin AND the paper clip. They must be used in the correct order (don't remember which one goes first - there are 2 scenes that needs these, but they require them in a different order - it won't take it if you put the wrong one in first). If it won't take the hairpin, put in the paper clip first - then the hairpin, or do the opposite if needed. Once you have both the paper clip and the hairpin in the lock, click on them (I think 3 clicks) until the door opens.

Let me start by saying I'm a big Mortimer fand and I enjoyed the game very much, but I have to be honest and say I was somewhat disappointed. It didn't seem to be as intense as the previous games, which took me several sessions to solve. I finished this one in only about 3 hours.

The game is now available by itself, but it's still a "premium edition" so you can't get it with a FunTicket. The discount price for FunTicket members is $13.99. I paid it and I enjoyed the game, but to be honest, I didn't think it was as intense as the other Mortimer games and it ended way too soon. If you're willing to wait, the regular (non-premium) edition will probably come out in a couple of months and if it does, you should be able to use a FunTicket to purchase it.

I missed the flags at first too. And I misinterpreted the "domestic" part - as an American, I was trying to put it with the American parts. Dumb me - the scene is in France, so the "domestic" part is French, not American. I'm admitting this in case someone else makes the same mistake and gets stuck.

1st row: American parts
2nd row: French parts
3rd row: Japanese parts
4th row: German parts

I totally agree. I don't understand why multiple funtickets can't be used for premium games. This has been brought up before, but GH either isn't listening or doesn't care. Just wait awhile and the regular (non-premium) edition should come out, which will be available with a funticket. I"m pretty sure you'll by able to access the walk-thru at www.gamezebo.com, so you won't need the strategy guide. I purchased it, and to be honest, I was disappointed. It didn't seem to be as intense as the previous Mortimer games and it ended way too fast.

Make sure you have room in each "tube". If the tube is full, you can't add any more balls to it. I was initially stumped until I realized I had to keep room at the top. Pull out a ball from the bottom. You can add it back to the same tube if it's the right one, Just keep pulling them out until you get only the right ones in the tube. Just in case you didn't notice, there is a label above each tube that tells you which balls (based on their colors) go into each tube.

I have to admit, I was upset that all of the puzzles couldn't be reset back to the beginning.

Again, how do we get around the trial minutes limit?

You have to click on the "FunPass" tab when the game boots up and then log-in. Please make sure you aren't confusing the "Fun Ticket" with the "Fun Pass". The "Fun Ticket" gives you the 2 "free" games each month and is eqivalent to what we got from RA. The "Fun Pass" is a GH thing and is different. I'm also one of the former RA customers who isn't as happy with GameHouse as I was with RA and the "Fun Ticket"/"Fun Pass" issue confused me at first. I agree that it's not right that "Premium" editions aren't available with a "Fun Ticket" like the other games are.

I have had numerous problems with games just closing themselves and disappearing quickly with no warning. Sometimes without saving my progress. GameHouse support suggested that I had another program interfering with the games. I suspect that's true - probably Norton Antivirus or Utilities. The games need to be designed so they aren't seen as intruders. I'd really like to see answers to the help questions I email or post in the forums. When I emailed GameHouse for help I was told the employees don'thave that kind of knowledge about the games so they couldn't help me. Can't you contact the designer or someone who would be able to help? Support needs to be able to help, even with simple things like being stuck and unable to progress in a game. I think I have all the items at the Scythian burial mound except the last piece of broken tile. In the tomb, there is a coffin. When I hover beside the "body" in the coffin there is the outline of an archer's bow and the message "A warrior needs a bow". The only object I have left is a carpet. I've looked at on-line walkthroughs and cheats and all say that the carpet is to be put on the coffin. I can't put the carpet on the coffin; it won't take it. It appears to want a bow not a blanket. What am I doing wrong?
