FYI I've now been told it is not possible to charge us in Sterling at the moment. Strange as we keep being told GH is the same company as RA and yet they managed to charge in Sterling.

@ffwfire - we are in the UK so don't have to pay US tax however I've now been told we have to pay the UK VAT which I'm sure we never did before. On top of that my bank charges me £2.50 to convert the charge from dollars to sterling.

I understand all Americans got emails telling them about the move but I haven't found anyone in the UK that got one. The first we knew was when we tried to open RA and got redirected and told to transfer our account. As beadycat says, we were then told we'd get twice the games for the same price but this turned out to be untrue and we are having to pay more.

This thread has reminded me of one important thing- having a 'post reply' button at the bottom of the thread instead of having to scroll back to the top!

Regarding knowing which threds you've posted on - some forums have the option to receive an email when someone replies to your post or to a thread you've contributed to but I've no idea if this is feasible for you. I would imagine it requires a lot more investment than simply having the facility to list threads when you log in.

Either would be a vast improvement but getting the emails would lead to more participation as it reminds people to visit the site.

I'm getting very good support on one of my problems but my problem with being forced to pay in dollars (9.99 when it should be 6.99) with tax on top (I'm in the UK and RA charged me in sterling) is getting nowhere - they're telling me they can't change my account by email even though I keep pointing out they've already changed it without my authority and I just want it changed back and the overpayments refunded.

I've tried threatening solicitors but keep getting the standard 'I'm sure you appreciate we are unable to help' response.

Anyone any experience of forcing the matter higher? Before anyone suggests it I'm not prepared to pay to call the US when its them at fault.

I found the link OK the first time but had trouble last week. I think I got there eventually using a link from FAQs that says something like 'need more help?.

It says I need 5 gunmen to play the next level but the sheriff's office will only let me hire 1 sheriff and 3 deputies.

Over word limit so:

I've tried logging in at Zylom but it doesn't recognise my username and password. Can anyone direct me to the information for international customers so I can move my account and stop having to pay fees to have my membership converted into dollars which never happened before? FAQs are worse than useless on this site.

Sorry can't find the original of the above post. I didn't choose to go to any site - I was taken there when I tried to go to Real Arcade. The message that came up didn't offer me any choices about moving my account but gave the impression I had no choise. Real Arcade must have known I was in the UK so why didn't they direct me to the correct site (just for the record I was one of the many who got no email warnign of the move so was unaware of it until it happened- possibly only Americans got the emails)?

Jafo66 - I have no problem locating the games it's just that they won't load - when I double click the icon nothign happens. This is only for some of them. Most load OK.

GHBill - I have been in contact with support by email and someone (David I think) is looking at my system details to try to find the problem. I presume you were closed over New Year which is why I haven't heard anything since last Tuesday (GMT - I have no idea if you are ahead or behind us on PST).

I have the same problem and it's getting worse the further through the game I get. I'm saving every 5 minutes but then get confused about what I've done since the last save when it freezes and I have to restart.

Once GH do get the new version will we have to start again or will it remember our progress?

Thanks - I feel really stupid now! It's obvious when you know how.

You need to get enough deputies to kill them all quite quickly then they don't come back. I managed it with 2 but I was generating enough goldto buy another every time one was killed.

I see someone has mentioned elsewhere that version 2 keeps freezing. Mine just froze again.

How do I tell which version I have? Properties doesn't tell me.

Also, how do we tell when GH have the new version available?

I'm on the level after the rat flu (can't remember what it's called but it's the one with boulders etc. on the track and bits of track missing and the bandits keep attacking the engine). In the main game the blacksmith has a speech bubble to enable you to buy track to get into the levels. I have fixed everything else on this level and built my blacksmith but I can't see how to get rails from him to fill the gaps, only pickaxes and axes.

The goal page doesn't help - it just says you need a blacksmith to fix the tracks and I have one.

Vickisue it sounds to me like you are trying to open it from the Gamehouse list like we used to in Realarcade. You need to make sure when you first open up your game list that you go to 'MyRealarcade Games'. You then get a 'play' button like we used to. Alternatively if, like me,new games you buy don't appear on this list (I think because I don't save them in my C drive) it's easier to open them from your 'My Games' folder: I have it as a shortcut on my desktop as the suggestion that you have an icon for every game on your desktop is ridiculous.

ffwfire - it might be cheaper for Americans but not for everyone. I used to pay in sterling but now get charged a fee by my bank for conversion to dollars.

I hope someone technical out there will know the answer to this. I'm having problems getting some of the games to run - nothign happens when I try to open them after downloading and installing.

I have to download to my D drive as my C drive is tiny and wondered if this could be a problem although I would have thought this would affect all games not just some. For some reason my Gamehouse folder is in my C drive even though when we migrated I stated I wanted games to go to the My Games folder in my D drive (which they do).

I have contacted support about my problem but they refuse to read my message and presume I'm having trouble registering the games. They have suggested I could ring them in America to discuss the problem but it would be cheaper just to write off the money and buy from another site!

I can't get the GH version to run (downloads and installs but its one of the many on here that won't run) but I played an hour on the demo from Bigfish and loved it as it seems a bit more challenging than the others. I usually speed through them in a couple of days and have never before had to replay a level to get enough stars to buy the upgrades needed to continue. In this version I had to do this a couple of times on the first 8 levels.

Didn't get far enough for bears, only lions. Love the incubators where you can grow birds instead of having to buy them. It makes the game much more tactical with more options to consider.

I can't find anything explaining how these forums work and they don't seem to work like usual ones, e.g. current threads don't seem to be at the top.

I've never received an email telling me someone has replied to my posts and threads I've answered or started are never at the top of my list. Does this mean no-one has ever replied to my posts or are we expected to keep a list of threads and search for them every day to see if there are replies?

If you buy the CD version do you get a longer game? I go through them quite quickly and even the last levels aren't that challenging.

I can't play 3 on Gamehouse as its one of those annoying games that refuses to launch after you download it.

I just tried to log into Zylom (I am in England) and it doesn't recogise my username and password. Do we have to sign up and do something to get our subscription moved there from Gamehouse? I'd rather pay in sterling than dollars at the current exchange rate.

Why was this option not communicated to us at the time we moved from Real Arcade?

Why is no mod answering this? I'm really annoyed with it as usually I just give up on the demos where this happens but today I forgot about it and bought Farm Frenzy 3 without checking if this happened with this game - of course it has and now I can't open a game I have paid for.

I emailed support about this problem months ago when we first got forced to use Gamehouse and they sent the standard reply about checking my drivers etc were up to date and deleting temp files. I did all this even though I suspected the problem was the site not my comp but heard nothing else from them.

Thanks. got through that level OK now but having trouble getting enough buildings for 550 tourists on the next level now. There just isn't enough land even if you salvage most of the commercial buildings. There are always rocks or trees stopping you building condos. Very annoying but I'll keep trying.

I'm stuck on the level that asks you to build 4 monkey spas. It said the monkeys like hottubs so I presumed this is what it meant but I've built 4 and it hasn't registered against the task. Can someone please tell me what it wants us to build.
