Yes, we realize that this was one of the benefits of the RealArcade My Games page. You can still play your RealArcade games through this page (under My GameHouse) but we are working on a way to have all GH and RA games in a single, sortable list. It sounds like you're a power user for this type of functionality, so let me know if you'd like to be involved in our beta test and I will contact you outside of the forum.

Thanks,
Craig

Ah, yes. That is a known issue (bug actually). I will check with the development team to see when they plan to address it.

I started redownloading all my RA games that are still available but I stopped when I noticed that they get installed again.

Penny is correct, you should not need to redownload your games. Sounds like you've figure out that you can see and play your RA games from http://www.gamehouse.com/myrealarcadegames

You can keep playing them from there as long as you like. You are free to download the GH version if you want, but there's no need to replace games already on your computer. At some point in the future, we hope to have all your GH and RA games available to play in a single list.

Hope this helps! Post back if you have more questions or suggestions.

Thanks,
Craig

Hi strandman,

I assume you are a RealArcade customer and are looking for your games. You should not need to redownload your games unless you removed them from your computer or got a new computer.

To find your RealArcade games, go to http://www.gamehouse.com/myrealarcadegames

You should see your games listed there. In addition, you can find your games on your computer by going to Start->Programs->Games (or Start->Games, depending on your version of Windows).

Hope this helps!

Thanks,
Craig

Any existing credits you had on RealArcade were transferred to GameHouse and will be honored. In fact, if you were a RealArcade GamePass subscriber, you will receive 2 credits per month going forward for the same price ($9.99/month).

Regarding the "merger", RealArcade acquired GameHouse in 2004. The sites were operated independently until last week. Customers were notified via email and through messages on both sites that the websites would be merged. When customers visit RealArcade, they are prompted to transfer their account to GameHouse. If they accept, account information is moved from one database to another. All records of previously purchased games and issued credits are moved. No changes are made on customer computers. All games that existed on your computer at the time of the move remain intact.

If you believe that there was a problem in transferring your account information, please post the problem here or contact customer support.

Thanks,
Craig

Suki, correct! We didn't remove any games from customers' computers. If you had a game on your computer before you transferred your account from RA to GH, it is still there. GH has most of the games available for re-download (which only needs to be done if you deleted the game or got a new computer, as Suki says), but some games are no longer available for re-download (many of these games were no longer available for re-download from RA, btw).

So, in short, you still have access to the games on your computer. Use the re-download links if you lose them (you'll need to re-register in the "Register" tab after launching the game), and call or email CS if you have other games you can't access.

Hope this helps! (Thanks again, Suki!)

Hi littlemom,

I'm sorry you don't like the two together. What specifically don't you like? Please share your thoughts with us!

Overall, this change should be a good one. No one likes change (I had a really hard time adjusting to my wife's preferred brand of toothpaste when we got married, but I eventually adjusted! ) By bringing these sites together, we can better focus our resources on serving you, our customer, and building the features you want. If there's something missing that you'd like to see here, please let us know! We are listening and are ready to serve.

Thanks,
Craig

I have been two days trying to play my games, and i'm about ready to find me a lawyer.

Hi heyoldlady58,

Can you try going to this link: http://www.gamehouse.com/myrealarcadegames

You should see your RealArcade games listed there. There's no need to re-download them (though that option exists, if for some reason you deleted a game from your computer).

Please check that link (also available from the "My RealArcade Games" link under "My GameHouse") and let us know if you find your games.

Thanks,
Craig

Hi cspmbs,

If you purchased games from RA, but uninstalled them, you should still be able to access them for re-download from GH. Go to http://www.gamehouse.com/my-gamehouse You should see a list of all the games you have purchased. To re-download, click on the "Redownload" link next to the game (right-hand side). Once your game has redownloaded there will be an icon on your desktop (you can also find them in Start->Programs->GameHouse). Double-click the icon to launch the game. It will launch as a 60 minute trial game. To register it, click on the "Register" tab and enter your email address and password (the same ones you use to log in to your GameHouse account).

I hope this helps! Please post back and let us know how it goes.

Thanks,
Craig

Hi wolfie,

I'm sorry for the confusion. We're doing our best to make this transition as smooth as possible. Thanks for hanging in there!

Suki,

Thanks for answering wolfie's question. It's great to see members of our game community helping each other out. You are absolutely right, we should have done a better job of explaining to customers coming over from RA how to register games they have purchased and downloaded from GH. We anticipated and addressed a number of questions in the FAQ, but there are some we did not anticipate. We're doing our best to address those now as they come up. Thanks again for jumping in!

Hi Lennart,

Yes, we plan to add an uninstall option. I'm not sure what you are asking about searching the installer. Can you clarify?

We are actively working on an improved experience for downloading, installing, finding and managing games. We appreciate suggestions from customers, like yourself, to help us prioritize features. Keep 'em coming!

ok2brude wrote: How does one play their purchased games without having a desktop icon?

Hi ok2brude,

I'm very sorry for the confusion. If you've removed the desktop icon, the simplest way to access games you've downloaded from GameHouse is through the Start menu. Go to Start->Programs->GameHouse. You should see a list of all your GameHouse games there. By the way, you can also access your RealArcade games through the Start menu. They should be in Start->Programs->Games. (Note, on some versions of Windows, the menu says "All Programs" rather than just "Programs".)

I hope this helps. Please post back and let us know.
