I have noticed something interesting since I changed the HOSTS file. Certain web pages will no longer display. It seems to happen with pages that are ads. I belong to a couple of programs where you get paid for opening emails. Many of the pages I am supposed to open show up as unable to connect. This started happening immediately after I changed the HOSTS file. Now my game works but the web pages don't.

a few things that come to mind:

- Make sure you are logged in as administrator

- Delete HOSTS file and create a new one

- google this term "mvps hosts". run it and see if your HOSTS file changes

Okay, I deleted the HOSTS File, ran the mvps hosts, like you suggested, then followed the above steps, and the game now works! Thank you so much!!!! I greatly appreciate your help with this.

Hi all. I am Coors I like a wide range of games except for straight HOGS. I have a Chihuahua named Uno and three Lizards; Slient Bob - An African Fat-Tailed Gecko; Jay - an anole; and Brodie - a long-tailed lizard. I have been married for 20 years, have a 15 year old girl and a 12 year old boy and live in Colorado. My DH is a disabled Veteran who served in the ARMY. We lived in Germany for a year and a half while he was active duty. It was an interesting experience and quite a culture shock. I was glad to be back in the land of 24 hour shopping but miss the shoes and some of the foods we got there. The Kurdish people had shops there that sold the sandwiches called Kababs. The bread is kind of like a pita pocket and you have your choice of either lamb or chicken, then you add such things as cucumbers, cabbage, onion, and then topped off with a sauce that I think was a cucumber sauce. Then they sprinkled a spice blend on it that had a great kick. They were absolutely amazing!

I was wondering inf anyone can help me find a game to use my credit on. I am a big fan of TM, Builder and strategy games. I also like Tower defense and RPG and have recently discovered adventure games. The first adventure game I played was Dying for Daylight, which I loved. I have played a few others and I find that if there is a good storyline and has other puzzles beyond HO scenes, then I will become hooked and want to finish it. Would appreciate any and all suggestions you may have.

Thanks in advance

I can't understand people who protest any form of clean energy. So what if they have turbines in their neighborhood. Would they prefer to look at at fuel burning power plant? This is what happened to my mom and I am quite sure she would gladly get rid of the power plant for a forest of windmills. I also think the windmills would effect property values a lot less than the alternative power plant.

Solar, if done right, does not have to be ugly. If I could afford the cost associated with installation, I would gladly add solar panels to my house. I would think these would actually raise your property values, as they would lower your utility costs.

BTW, I was unaware that it was Amazon that had pulled the program. I will take my complaint directly to them. Doubt it will get me anywhere, but at least I can let them know how I feel.

In another thread, I did suggest looking into Ebay and Paypal for reward options. Does anyone else have any ideas for alternate reward options?

I would really would like to get to know you and I think we can just ignore the bullies. to Coors,

people disagree on a vast number of issues. I have read nothing here that is negative or unkind. Beating a dead horse is though

You know, the really sad thing is that you actually think you are being clever instead of unkind. Perhaps it was while you were wasting everybody's time with too many Crocodile Tears while you were whining about your own issues that made you so jaded. Whatever it is, I want nothing to do with it and will not be back to these forums, which I am sure will just fill your day with joy. Some of you wondered why people don't post more often in these forums. Perhaps it is because when they do, they are greeted with unkind negative comments. Just because you do not agree with others opinions or comments does not make it okay to belittle them. Perhaps you will think about this the next time you find yourself posting snarky comments.

yusef wrote: Whatever did people do to be happy before there were Rewards?

I can not speak for others on this matter, but before there were rewards, I mostly checked to see what the free game of the day was and did not do much else. The rewards got me interested in trying out more games that I otherwise would have never tried because I received coins for downloading trials. Now that I know I can no longer receive the rewards that I want, I am less likely to take the time to try out other genres since I know the only rewards I can receive are free or discounted games. It usually does not take much to make me happy. I just want a company to decide how they are going to operate and stick with it instead of constantly teasing us with programs that they are not going to stick with. I don't think that is too much to ask for.

I am a FunTicket subscriber and I still don't find the rewards program to be valuable without the Amazon.com rewards. I have more than enough games already and find the other site offers a better option for rewarding members, since you receive a free game for a certain number of punches on a card, and you receive punches for purchases. I have just about decided it is time to cancel my subscription here and move on. I am giving it a few days in order to weigh my decision before I decide. Hopefully Gamehouse will listen to the dissatisfaction of it's customers and remedy the problem. I hope they do and restore my lost faith in this company.

This sucks!!!!! I want the Amazon.com rewards back. I understand that people in the UK can not use them, but can't Gamehouse find an alternative option for them without punishing the rest of us? The Amazon cards were the best part of the rewards program and without that option, the program is pretty much worthless now.

Why not look into other options, such as Ebay or Paypal rewards? I already have plenty of games I have never even played and since most of the new games offered are usually HOGS, which I can not stand, the free games are really not worth much to me.

This program has been totally ruined now and I am a VERY disappointed customer!

LOL! I refuse to use either one for many reasons, none of which are being a criminal. I think they are very intrusive and I don't trust putting too much information out there. You can delete you accounts, but once you post something, there is no deleting it because these companies do constant backups so they have everything on file. Imagine what the governments could do with this information were they so inclined. Something to think about. In addition, I do not like the pressure to join and the way companies make you "like" them in order to get a free sample or enter a contest. I think that it is not only unfair, it is misleading and gives them free advertising at your expense. I am quite happy to remain anonymous on forums such as these.

As far as there being too many threads of this type, you are probably right. Part of this is because a certain person likes to come into "our" (EVERYONE IS WELCOME) threads and complain. Our response? Open even more threads. Probably not the best response but it gets her off our backs for quite awhile, so I would say it is effective. I enjoy all different kinds of topics and talking to all kinds of different people and I welcome any of you to come on over and visit us in Plunderworthy's,

What's a "morph" thread, and what does "who is gutting who" mean? Or, is it better I don't ask?

There are some threads over at the pond where it is all about chainsaws, pitchforks and chasing each other with sharp objects. Quite silly and there are too many to count. Even some of the more constructive threads end up with this nonsense in them. If you ever spend the time to read some of the long running threads, you will find some of this nonsense going on in them as well. This is why I stated "who is gutting whom" in my message. Makes me feel like I am dealing with a bunch of teenagers.

Why is it "nonsense"? It is actually quite fun using your imagination to see who can come up with the best way to gut and/or torture each other. You may feel like you are dealing with a bunch of teenagers, but IMHO, it helps keep us young at heart and our minds sharp. Don't knock what you don't understand.

CCC is Chit Chat Corner

What I like about the moderation process is that spammers are immediately stopped and arguments such I have seen on this site rarely escalate because the moderators put a quick stop to it. I have made a lot of good friends and really enjoy my time there.

Don't get me wrong, I am still a GameHouse member and come here every day, but rarely venture past the support forums because of the way I see people treat each other here.
