Not got them yet but I was asked by my daughters not to get them across my lower back (which was where I was going there with one of them). However, after they explained why they didn't want me to put it there I agreed. 'Nuff said about that.

So I am still waiting for my brilliant artistic daughter to design the one with all the kids initials. Here is what I am thinking. The design with the kids initials on one shoulder and a (yet to be determined) on the other between the shoulders the "No parent should bury their child". Does this sound doable? Jeez, I think I am stressing too much over this.

All of you seem to be able to get them without the stress. I admire all of you

It's coming soon Candy, just hang on. Also welcome Bella and gamer. I love to hear about other people's tat's, just so interesting. So, I will let you all know when I have it done (and it will be family friendly, I promise) as soon as daughter has the time to draw it up for me.

Elven, what LOTR have you decided on?

Love and peace to all.

Hi Mr. Bill, thank you for the fast reply I think "family friendly" can be arranged if goodmom wants to show them.

It will be absolutely "family friendly". Thank you Mr. Bill for the reminder and thank you Elven for the support.

I want to take this moment to thank all of you for your love and support and suggestions. I am going to get my daughter to draw the heart with the initials and I know the next one will be the "No Parent" and the One ring quote, jeez, Elven you got me thinking. Adding a kiss here 'cuz I loved you advise.

Well, as it is 3:13 am and Dad is calling "Are you coming to bed or what" I would rather it be or what but I have to go to work in the AM so I am sending all of you on this particular thread an good night and a hug and kiss from me.

I have made the decision and it will be BOTH! and then some. I need the "One Ring" thing but it will be later. So. I thank all of you with your input and love. So, when I get them done, and it will be soon (will not wait until birthday)how do I show them to you? And again, where should I have them done. Shoulders I am thinking.

The "One Ring" will go across my lower back.

Again, thank you.

Candy, you have my heart.

I have a birthday coming up and I swear that I am going to do it. I have had great advise here and if it is nothing more than my kids initials inside of a heart, or a great line from LOTR you know, one ring and all or maybe a design that moves me, it is getting done while I still have some "smooth places" left. You guys inspire me and I have never met a nicer bunch of people.

Elven, any suggestions? Well, off to bed I am but wanted to thank all of you for your insight and good wished.

Elven, yeah, I can find a spot or two that can handle it. LOL I got your post, we're good.

jj, yeah, maybe he thinks he's that good but I am thinking that he just likes the logo as he buys anything with that logo. I wish 'cuz I could use some help with college.

candylv, thanks for heads up on the needles. He has a nice tribute tat to older brother and it is really heartbreaking. I cry every time I see it. His death was sudden and unexpected.

Maybe the tat I am looking to get would be "No parent should bury their child". I don't know, just a thought.

Anyway, I am glad to know you guys and maybe with your guidance I can make the move and get it before they have to tattoo me after I am well.......you know

I have a question for all that have tats. How old to too old to get one? Or are you ever too old to get one. I have wanted one for forever. Current (and last hubby) has no objections and wants one too, the problem has been mainly A. Am I too old for a tat and B. What to get.

My 19 yr old son got one about a year ago honoring oldest brother we lost almost 4 years ago and I had no problem with it. It is a lovely tribute. The second one is a skateboarder logo

WTH was that about? Anyway, just wondering. Thanks for the thread.

Wow, my music preference is all over the page. I love 40's and 50's, Big Band, Swing. 60's all the way, some 70's and 80's and 90's. It's hard to pinpoint the genre of music as I love all with the exception of "RAP" and "NASTY RAP" and "GANGSTA RAP". Love jazz, smooth jazz, not the eclectic kind. Sade, Jackson Browne, James Taylor. Sorry I could go one for hours. I can listen to old country but the current country is just not my cup of tea. So that being said, as I am really new here I will just shut up.

I just found out about Joe Hill. His father is Stephen King. I have both of his books (samples) on my Kindle and am hoping to buy both of them soon.

I love Dean Koontz and early Stephen King. Since I have had my Kindle I have read a lot of books by previously "unknown" authors to me and have really enjoyed them. For now and for me it will have to be samples and free books.

Please check out Joe Hill. Thanks all for the ear.
