Pebbles: I need a hint on what/where to find the pebbles. I've found all the gears for the workshop and the key for the chest. Now I am stuck on the pebbles so I can get the last gear.
Edit: Ok, figured it out. I thought the hermit had the last gear, but I was mistaken. I found the last gear and archers shooting the crows get the pebbles.

roots; i am having a problem in witch isalnd finding all the roots for the witch and cant clear a section of the island help

What version is this game? I have been reading the forums on www.enkord.com (mkers of this game) and it is saying that there was a bug in previous versions. They said that if it is not 1.2 or newer than you cannot possibly complete the game because of the bug. I have read numerous posts where people had to buy the newer version after buying the previous one and then they had to start all over in the game.
PS if you go to Enkord site they have people that actually respond to questions and they have alot of walkthrough/cheats/maps helping. They also have madewalkthrough clips on youtube.

i can't get the fifth gear from trees at the top of island i get the one from the old woman and the beach and the nest area and the other two but can not find the fifth gear

Did you find out what version we have from Gamehouse. I went all the way to the end and could not finish the game. If you don't get all the jewels 100% to get on Rainbow road to get to Moon Island you cannot finish the game. This version will not give you all the jewels.

Well can anyone help me. I am stuck at the very begining. I have built all the huts and the other building, as a matter of fact I have built about 6 huts and 6 of the other buildings and I have put the flag where the computer told me to but now it says to find the tears of heaven or something like that. All the little men are just running around, what do I do next? Help me please!!!

i like the totem tribe. but i some complaints
1) unless there is a camera really there .... there should NOT be lens flare in the beginning. cute but eyes dont see lens flare.
2) it would have been nice to have push to edge of screen to scroll ... it is a real pain to get flag, drop it, pull map, get iit, drop it, pull map. get flag ...
if push edge was available while holding flag then it would be a better game.

for all you people that cannot find some of the simpler things ...many items are so hidden tha you may only see 1/8 or less of it. in many cases you have to look REAL CLOSE at the mountains, bushes, tress, etc ... and click a LOT.
i found it too time consuming. after you get the primary objective .... do not quit the island because you find more you need now and later.
i think the game is moderate to advanced difficulty.
and after cradle (which is a downer) ... there is a lot of activity and you may have to do a few islands (including cradle) over a few times. ... hint read the walkthroughs on the web for some help.
as for me TOO VILOLENT (if you stop and think of all your people that you loose to get a goal ...).
i got too frustrated of having to start over ... would have been a nice game to save at various point (AND NOT JUST BETWEEN ISLANDS). nice concept but think about when you get past cradle island. ...

Youtube has a very nice set of helps videos and I could not have gotten as far as I am without it. Right now I am at the worship island level and cannot get the treasure chest with the map to the lost temple. (?) As for the shells, keep hitting the edges of mountains, etc and they turn up.
Perosnally, I like the game. It has kept my interest for a while now, like the virtual villages but much longer with many islands. Hoping the part about the moon island being inexcessible is incorrect!

I am stuck on the level with the coal. I did get the coal from the crow, but I still have only 7 pieces, not the needed eight. I have gone everywhere else on the island and can find no more coal. HELP!!!

Did you get the piece out of the fireplace in the forest beside the village?

8 coals: The 7th coal is like Kujo 2006 said in the fire pit by the fishing Eskimos in the South. For the 8th one you have to place your archers to attack the giant bird's nest on the west coast.
Shells: Did you explore the center of the lake by the idol, you find there a brown shell. Give the brown shells to the totem. In the far northeast is the Idol of Divination, which needs 25 brown shells to be activated. charge this idol, then cast the spell of Clairvoyance into the sea.
Ice melting: North of the Eskimo village is a hut with a hermit who wants you to free his penguins from behind the ice. Build towers near each of the ice mounds, convert them to fire towers (you get this gift, when you have given the coals to the Eskimos) and you can melt these ones as well.

ok im now stuck on mist island. im lookin for the lightning bolts, i hav 3 but cant find the last one. ok never mind i found it. but now i need to know how do i make the freeze or ice tower. im gettin really fed up with this now. x

Hi Boozy75,
Lightning Tower: Give the thunderbolts to the wise man and he will teach you how to build a sky hall, which allows you to upgrade your towers to lightning towers.
Fire Tower and Frost Tower: After you have build a Workshop and a Smithy you need to have a Wise man's House for the researches of ballistics, mud and frost (after building, click on it for upgrade) and you need to build a laboratory for the researches of fire and frost (after building, click on it for upgrade).
Now you can build a tower and when you have all these researches done, than you can click on it for an upgrade to what ever you like, it has little thumbnails you can choose from.

games still says I have to melt the ice....I have loosed all the penguins and opened all that blocks openings of the mountains. Why is it still telling me to melt ice? I have also melted boulders that contained shells! Don't know where to go from here, but still have three shells to find, but can't find anymore in ice boulders.
Never mind....Just had to keep going. Once I found all the shells, it straightened all out!!
