Hi Candy!!Glad your around. When we first got married we raised a few pigs and cows. My hubby would go to the store where they threw out the old food and bring it home to feed the pigs. They got out one day of coarse he wasn't home so here I am chasing damn pigs around. The more you chase em the farther they go.Finally butcherd em.The cows also got loose one time and srarted walking up the lake it was winter time.Someone called us to tell us cause we didn't even know. Glad them days are gone.

Candy I saw that and I thought I would die it was to funny and the red folks man they need to get their act together before Ramsay kills all of them they are about some ding dongs on this one none of them can butter bread much less cook real food. I love to see him throw them out of the kitchen that man is a trip I love him and I like his show Kitchen Nightmares as well he does lay it on the line and makes no bones about it he is a trip !

Aha!, Glad to see another Gordon Ramsey fan. I think it's hilarious the way they troop into Hells Kitchen and pompously say they are the best cooks and then can't cook something simple like that kids menu they had last night. I also watch Kitchen Nightmares. There is a new one coming on July 27th with amature cooks competeing. That ought to be fun! LOL.

Yea I saw that it's called master chef I'm looking forward to that as well. I agree with you they kill me how they come in there and some actually think they are better than Ramsay and when in reality they can barely butter a piece of bread. How about that one girl that is forever fixing the wrong stuff I think one week it was suppose to be lobster and she used crab and it's been a few other thing's. Another thing that kills me is that it's always somebody else's fault and not theirs. That show is a trip and he makes all the better I get a kick out of that man. Hug's to you Candy !

Hi guys, I saw the show with them go after the pigs too funny.
Change of subject; went to Best Buy to get a part for my pooter and when we walked in the door those alarms at the sides of the entrance went off. Manager asked me to empty my purse and hubby his pockets, went past them once more and they still rang. They had me step to one side and the Mr. to the other. Almost had him down to his shorts when I mentioned that he had a 'neuro stimulator' implanted in his back. At that point they gave him back his stuff and said 'ok, you can go in now'. Needless to say, by this time I just wanted to leave..but when we did guess what? You're right...as we passed thru the doors the alarm went off again and believe it or not there was different people on staff so we had to explain all over. Thank goodness this guy was nice enough not to have Mr. C undress.
Atleast I don't have geese, cows and pigs to deal with tho, LOL.

I am a fairly decent amateur cook. Were I ever to appear on Ramsey's show, I would probably end up on death row since it would only take 5 minutes for me to kill the SOB>
Why any of the contestants subject themselves to his ridiculous abuse is way beyond me.

Your right ydo I think he is just great and he can be funny as all get out to. Have you ever seen his show Kitchen Nightmares where he goes to places that are about to go broke and tries to help them get back up and running again. Man that show is a trip and some of these places he goes to are so freaking nasty it is unbelievable and let me tell you he let's them know real quick to I love him I think all and all he is a good guy and you can tell he loves his family he also has a show called the F word that comes on the BBC channel and it shows him in the rest. but also some with his family and you can tell he loves his family like nobody business. I really like him and he does lay it on the line and I would love to go to one of his rest. and eat his food you know it has got to be good.

I'm with you kid, love those cats too. In fact at one time we had that many also, couldn't bare the thot of them going hungry or getting killed. My hubby said we'd go out looking for a new kitty this weekend. he feels sad for me since I've been without my babies. I can't wait. And I agree, listen to Bob Barker>>>spay-today. Did you know there are some places that help with the costs. Out here we have one for peeps with more than three that need to be done at one time. The county will pay half, that way it insures the cat population stays downs. enjoy your cooking show, be back soon.

Ydo I know what you mean those are memories that can't be bought and that are a once in a lifetime thing and can't be replaced with anything at all. We all cherish the memories of our children especially when they are small because that time goes by so quick and the next thing you know they are grown and married so those memories can't be replaced and are priceless. I know this want stop your hurt but maybe it can help ease you a little bit my friend. Take care and hug's to you.

I have a video of my daughter when she was 8 yrs old as the lead in an easter play at school. She was the mama bunny. Someone else had that part and they did'nt speak up enough so knowing what a big mouth my daughter was the teacher decieded to give the part to her. She vertually screamed the part and everybody in the audience laughed and laughed and said how cute she was. Also we have video of her at 4 in the church chidrens choir singing "I;m in the Lord's army" and she out sings all the other children when she says "YES SIR". Those memories may fade one day as I getolder but the video will always be there since she's not here to remind me of them anymore. So Ydoi, I do know how precious that video was. (BTW, I had to laugh when you said "if he was'nt already dead I would kill him") It probably was'nt meant to be funny though.

G, what a sweet and thoughtfull person you are. You have a wonderfull way with words. I do hope everyone does'nt mind if I slip Candace in here when the situation warrants. The talk of the videos got me to thinking about hers. Yes, the memories will fade eventually as we get older. Thats why hubby and I never got a divorce when she passed because I have half of her memories and he has the other half and together we have the whole. (statistics say that 75% of marriages break-up when a child dies and goes up to 80% when it's the only child). We beat those odds all to heck!

Candy thank you I do try especially for the people that I really care about and you are one of those people so what if I have never seen your face I don't need to see a face to care for someone and everything I ever say to you or anyone does come from my heart and I wouldn't say those things if I didn't mean them. It never bothers me at all when your mention Candace you talk about her all you want she is your child and always will be no matter what and is still very much in your lives and your hearts and you should talk about her she was a wonderful person I'm sure just like her mom and you know I bet she talks to my mom about you because I know they are in the same place together so you can be sure that she is being loved and cared for my mom wouldn't have it any other way. Hug's to you ! I'm so glad you beat the odds and I have never even heard that before but I'm so glad you did. Hug's !

Candy trust me she is in great hands with my mom she was the kindest and most gentle person on this earth she found good in everybody I don't care what they did. All of my friends loved my mom so much she was the one they would always come to when they had problems instead of their own moms because they said she was so easy to talk to and never once judged them for anything they did she was the one if someone ran away from home her house was the one they came to. She would give you the shirt off of her back and the last dollar in her pocket and she was the one who really didn't have it to spare but she would give it to you anyway. She had the softest touch I think I ever felt her hands were like silk and a hug that would melt even the coldest heart so trust me your baby is well taken care of and I know my mom wouldn't have it any other way she was such a beautiful person inside and out and she will love your baby just like she was her own trust me on that one. Hug's

I am originally from a very small town in West Virginia and every 2 years they have what the call The Gathering, when people who were born there come back to catch up with people they knew when they were very young. Last time I saw some people I was in 1st and 2nd grade with. Let me tell you, there is no Kentucky Fried Chicken or vegetables from a can on those tables. These are old farm women who cook from scratch. Fresh chicken, pork and beef and veggies from the garden. It's coming up this September and I'm going!!

Hello there LJ. Good to see you again. My dad was born in a very small town in West Va, I can't remember the name but he always said Wayne co. Yes, I know about that because my mom always cooked real food. I don't remember a can of corn or carrots or peas in my life. We were always shucking real corn or shelling peas it seemed my whole childhood. Her chicken could melt in your mouth.
G, {{{mom}}}, bless her, I could just cry. My mom was her polar opposite. She was a real shrew and my friends always asked if my mom was home before they came down, for the opposite reaon, to avoid her!

Ah, Ydoi... SO sorry to hear of your loss! And with a new little baby to raise. Who is to figure God's ways. Sometimes nothing at all makes sense... but to live through our trials and tribulations to make us strong enough to help others. Blessings to you, AND your nephew.
Candy, I laughed also at "if he wasn't dead I'd kill him." Even tho one is deceased, we still can be angry at what a thoughtless jig they could be. Loved your description of your daughter, Candy, singing louder than the rest... maybe she's the leader of the harp band up there, and singing to lead the others, bless her heart.

ok it's been awhile but I have a gripe. My knives are so dull. Husband has a few ,So sharp. I know your thinking Why don't I sharpen mine.. Cause it's His job. Only when we are canning meat or cutting some thing up is when he sharpens the knives I use. It is getting totaling rediculus.I spelled that wrong on purpose. Is it to much to ask that the man in the house to keep the knives sharp? Besides I'm not very good at the sharpening thing,if I was watch out

I'm quite sure if you didn't wash his clothes and waited for him to do it he would be on your case right or if he came home and there was no supper on the table you could tell him well if I had my knives sharpened I could have fixed something but since I can't cut up anything to throw in the pot it's McDonalds for you pal ! Then again I could always send you a pair of my boots or come myself take your pick. That would be trouble wouldn't we would probably make more trouble wouldn't we ? Could be fun though. Work your charm girl I'm quite sure you know where his weak spot is. lol Hug's to you !
