I agree, whats up with this anyway? I thot we should be able to get any game we want with our funtic if we are a member. Very disappointed in these new developments. It's fine to make a premium game that offers more but give us the choice of one without all the extras.
Seems like it's all about the money now, instead of the game.

So you can't use your funtic on it?? Ohhhh, that stinx. But you're right, ya'll... it's all about making money. Since the game sites have dropped their prices (finally, after years of raising them), they're coming up with ways to make games seem "special," and worth more than your average game. But hey, a funtic or a gamepass should cover that and be accepted as payment! Agreed, folks!

I think the issue is less of a "GameHouse.com wants more money" issue than a "Game developers need to earn enough to feed their families" issue. With so many companies getting into the games business, prices go down (which is good for us gamers, of course) but it also means there are a lot more crappy games to sift through. So if a really good game comes around, I would think the developers deserve a little more than the base rate... and I'm assuming GH is thinking the same.

I'm all about saving money, but I'm also for supporting the developers that deliver high-quality games (PopCap, GameHouse, TellTale, etc....).

I belive everyone should get their cut of the pie, cloud9, but not at the expence of the little people. We pay our dues over and over again even if we are dissatisfied with the outcome of the product, sometimes without recourse. So it would be nice to have the option of standard or premium edition prices, especially these days when games are not at the top of the list.

I like that idea, though I wonder how that would work with a game release. It's either a premium game or not. I've seen "premium" releases from EA which gets you fancier packaging and maybe a little booklet (not worth it for me.) But with downloadable games that'd be harder to do. I'll bet GH brings the price down after sales start to slow down, so the only price we little people will have to pay is time.

I think paying $10 for a game is fair. I'll shell out $50 for a PS3 game now and then, and I'd do $20 for a high-quality game online once in a while...but if I do that I might as well just use my FunPass and play em all.

Well cloud9, In these days of budget cutbacks I'm glad you can afford to do that, for me, I'll choose food.
And for the record I can do without one less screensaver, thank you, if thats the only reason for the increase. BTW: I think guidelines should be included.
I am a loyal GH member but if you haven't noticed we're not alone.

SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT THAT, BUT THAT EXPLAINS WHY YOU DON'T CARE WHAT WE PAY FOR THE GAMES-THANK YOU!

So now more and more are platinum and not available free to funpass. GREED comes to Gamehouse - another site did the same, started out with 1 out of 5 being the Collectors Edition $19.99 , no 2 out of 3 are CE. WE NEED TO BOYCOTT THEM cancel the $20 month membership until they stop this.

Memo to GH re threads such as this one. I hope at least one Mod will take a look at this and respond.
The original post for this thread was not submitted on 1/20/12. It might have been in 2011 but I even doubt that. lazarus has not been around here for a very long time. Therefore I have a request for GH. Please put the year that a post in submitted.
I note something else in the thread. The second post by room333 shows a male avatar. Then another post by room shows a male avatar. Then there are 2 more posts by room using a female avatar. Now I know room is a lady. My avatar is female, yet when I requested a change ( since I do qualify as a male ) GH indicated that the avatar change cannot be done. What gives?? As to robi's post, the debate about premium editions has been ongoing. I have always said you get what you pay for. Welcome to the lounge, robi.

Poppa, this thread is a very old thread dating back to Jan 2010.
It was started by a poster who has been banned by gh because of his vicious attacks on some of the posters.
Some one had to hunt to find this one.
They should have started a new thread.
I hope this will be locked so it can be buried so it can never can back to the top.
This poster was a royal pain.

Hi Poppa, Here is the date of your post. "Posted on Mon Mar 26 13:01:04 PDT 2012" The year follows PDT (pacific daylight time, I suppose).

As for the avatars, they had me going for a while, too. When your are writing your post, they are any which gender--shall we say transgender. But when you are reading through the posts, everyone returns to their original gender, including your lady one.

I don't know why ppl bring up threads that are over 2 years old in the first place.

So I went and readsome of the OP's other posts, all the most recent ones being removed by mod, but I could see references to someone I had heard about at the pond.... is Highland Maxx here?

Max was quite a character. When I was in the pond he and I used to have some battles and most forum members thought we really hated each other. We would PM each other and have good laughs over what others were thinking about our relationship. Max left the pond a long time ago. I doubt if he's here. I would recognize his writings in a heartbeat.

No, this is not a highland max here.
This op was here when the gamehouse forum started after the real arcade forum.
Shagcat, I don't think anything else needs to be said.
