Hi candy it's the tomato hatin' Yankee LOL just wanted to tell you we had plain old bacon and eggs for dinner tonight! Oh and sorry the only time I tried to cook fish, by the time I got all the bones out, I could barely look at the darn thing much less eat it. JJ would be a great person to ask about it though.

Lol, ok, talpia is a boneless white flakey fish like they serve at Long John Silvers or Captain D's. A BIG SHOUT OUT FOR JJ HELP! Sunny girl, some of my happiest meals were eggs and bacon. Me loves some bacon but alas because of the fat and calories I have it about 3 or 4 times a year.

Sorry candy just saw this. Talapia is a rather bland fish that best lends itself to spices and simple cooking
Here two simple recipies
Buttery-Crusted Baked Talapia
4 6-oz boneless tilapia filets
6-8 Ritz crackers, crushed
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon adobo seasoning
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cold

Arrange fish on a lined baking sheet. In a mixing bowl, combine crushed Ritz crackers with seasoned salt, chili powder, and adobo seasoning (use clean hands to mix).

BILL WE NEED MORE THAN 1000 CHARACTERS
Cut butter into 6 equal pats. Place one pat a piece directly on the center of the tilapia. Cut remaining 2 pats into pea-sized pieces and mix by hand into cracker mixture. Sprinkle crumbs equally over each tilapia filet.

Bake in a preheated oven at 425°F for 15-20 minutes, or desired doneness. Serve hot on a nice platter.

4 boneless tilapia fillets
Italian dressing to cover fillets
2 tsp. garlic powder
large shake of pepper
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon parsley
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasonings
1 tablespoon pineapple juice (optional)
fresh carrots cut up into small pieces (optional)
Baked Talapia

Mix all ingredients together and allow fish to marinate for 1/2 hour.

Peel and cut carrots while waiting.

Pour fish and dressing mix into a baking dish. Put cut carrots (as many as you like) around the fish. The dressing gives the carrots a great flavor... plus it's an added bonus to your healthy meal!

Bake at 350°F for 20-30 minutes. Don't over-bake or fish will become dry.

Tonight we're having left-over meatballs and spaghetti that I made last night, and hubby loves it with some some Italian sausages thrown in. Of course I simmer them in water first to get the fat out, then slowly brown them and add them to the meatballs and sauce that are simmering. That with some fresh-baked Italian bread from our grocer here, and a little tossed salad. Mama Magnolia! (that's what he calls me with I make the spagett.)

They had a special commission that watched all of the movies and deleted anything they didn't like. If a man and a woman were on the same bed, even if they were married, He had to have one foot on the floor.

Highjackers, highjackers, highjackers, lol, JJ, I did your first recipe today for the talapia and it was super fantastic my girl! We ate every bite of it and the recipe is sooooooo easy to follow. Thank you so much. Now, I'm gonna highjack my own thread and say that Lucy and Desi in the first season had twin beds but were pushed together. They were the first couple that slept that close on national television. After Little Ricky was born the network had them seperate the beds so people won't have a constant reminder that they slept together to have him. I'm the HUGH Lucy buff and I know every little bit of trivia about her. Today I went to the library to get a new book on Lucille Ball that I had on hold and the libraian said I knew that book was for you Amanda! lol.

Most gocery stores have lamb chops. Lamb is more gamey than beef and people tend to over cook it which makes it tough and dry.

I feel your pain JJ The exact same size HoneyBaked ham I paid 34 dollars for a couple years ago went up to 53 dollars (I had a 5.00 off coupon but still) I wouldn't have bought it but we had been standing in line outside the store for half an hour so I had no idea how much it was till we got in there. Hope everyone enjoys it cause it's the last one!

Honey did you forget who you're talking to for a minute? LOL My mom was from the south so that's probably why. I guess I DO make the potato salad from scratch. HEY I AM making something from scratch! But the baked beans are Campbell's pork and beans with brown sugar, mustard etc.
