What??? I got a notice: "Bad words found" in my post! Could it have been xmas? I'll try again. It was a short post so I remember. This time I'll copy it and maybe have to use process of elimination to see what bad words I'm using.

Catsushi, I don't recall seeing re-runs except for a xmas game (maybe more than one xmas game, I don't remember). Which titles are you referring to?

Sorry. I was trying to post apologies for messing up my response to you, catsushi. The system won't even let me do that without my having to add piece by piece.

They are the 'standard' versions of these games, the versions that came out before were the Platinum Editions or Premium Editions.

I must admit I don't really feel a different version of a game that's already been out for a week or two really counts as a 'new' game.

Hi you all,

I know for the ones, who can afford the Platinum Games, the Premium or Standard Editions are repeating versions. For the FunPass gamers the Premiums are possible to play and with the coins we are able to buy the Standard Editions.

So we might have all 3 versions to cover all the needs from the GH gamers.

Don't forget GH has promised to provide us with the Premium or Standard Versions from the Platinum Editions and that is the result.

So no worries, please be happy and

Cheers

@ Lagoona,
Please, what will it take to help you understand that people have--and are entitled to have--opinions about the GH product offerings, their value to the individual gamer, & the individual gamer's associated level of happiness or unhappiness that while different from yours are nonetheless just as vaild?

I agree with those thinking Platinum games are NOT good for gamers & especially NOT good for FunPass members.
The reasons why should be obvious, but let's just think about what gamers typically want:
(1) Fast access to new games;
(2) Good prices.

Platinum games delay access to the standard version & drive up price point overall for the game's collective version sales.
Platinum game developers do NOT support FunPass & do NOT want FunPass members to be able to play their game's extended version (Platinum) under FunPass.

What is there to be happy about, as I've asked previously?

Your opinion differing from mine or other's is great--your right--but please do not tell me I should be "happy" about a situation that in my view is not at all a happy-making situation.

Likewise, the 3 versions are more about the needs of the developers than the needs of gamers, specifically they're about developer profits $$$$.

It is critical IMV to understand that developers doing Premium games--which FunPass members CAN play--support FunPass, unlike developers doing Platinum games, who do NOT care about FunPass members & insist that FunPass members cannot play the extended version, i.e., Platinum version, of their game.
Surely it's clear that this trend is NOT one to celebrate ?

Cheers, Janie

Hi Janie42,

No, no, no I don't impose anything to anybody. This is a total misunderstanding.

GH has made the decision about the Platinum Games and that is a Fact. We can't change anything.
Don't you think I would have loved to play Platinum with my FunPass?
Fact is also, that the Platinum Games are very good games.
What I meant with being happy is, that GH has promised us to provide us with the Standard or Premium Edition of the Platinum Versions, that we as Funpass Member can play them. A lot of us can't afford to buy the Platinum Games, me included. So that is a way we can play these games.
Fact is also, that to do this GH provides us now with 2-3 versions of the same games. They actually hold their promise they made to us FunPass Members.
We can't have it both ways!

Cheers

This statement is not entirely correct. Supply and demand drives up the prices.
If customes did not want to buy platinum editions they would not sell tem
The developers offer screensavers and wallpapers with the platinum editions. If they offered it with the standard editions they would be losing money.
I don't buy platinum editions because of the large size.

Gamehouse sets the Fun Pass Prices, if you go to the developers website to buy the game it be selling for a whole lot more than what we pay here.
Gamehouse is now offering two game tickets. to buy their platinum editions, this is not a bad buy.
