So then what is the point of the rewards? It doesn't seem like a reward to simply give money off on a game

Wow no more Amazon gift cards! Well then they should think of other gifts to give away other than free games especially if you are already a funpass member. I mean why get a free game coupon when you can play any game already except the platinum ones.

I love how it stil says that you can redeem your coins for free games AND MORE!! What is the more? I have been with game house since Real Arcade switched over and was with them for 6 years before that. I was too excited when they started the points and offered gift cards, even though monthly prices have gone from $9.99 to $19.99 /month over the years. Now they are taking away the only reason I had to make sure to log in everyday and play online and facebook games. Someone said it earlier, what is the point when we can play the games for free already!!! I think I might find a new game sight. I have seen some that are signifigantly cheaper and you get the same free game play.

I'm very disappointed the Amazon gift cards have gone - now we can only get free games.

A lot of us subscribe to funpass and can already play the games without buying each one - so really people who subscribe to funpass are worse off

It would be nice to know if anything else will be added to replace them

I'm also very disappointed. I've been a FunPass subscriber for awhile now. Would've been nice to get an email stating they are no longer doing Amazon. I may get rid of my account now as the Amazon Gift cards were the only thing keeping me here because all they seem to produce now are hidden object games and I for one am tired of that.

A lot of us were funpass members long before there were rewards so I don't see any reason to quit just because they took away something we only had a taste of for a little while. But yeah, the Amazon thing is a disappointment. Maybe our coins could be applied to discount on funpass membership. After all, the price of games dropped in half but our funpass membership did not.

As I noted in a couple of similar threads in the Support Forums, we continue to update our Rewards program and, unfortunately, the Amazon.com Gift Cards are no longer available. We are looking at other reward options so please check back for those announcements.

In the meantime you may continue to redeem your GameHouse Coins for game discounts, as well as free game coupons.

My question is about Game Purchase Rewards. I've not seen my coins or points increased by game purchases, so is this no longer rewarded? (I hope I don't receive another rude answer as I did on another question in the forums).
Also a major bummer about Amazon gift cards, which is the reason I've stuck it out for so long here.

Can we at least gift our free game coupons? If so how? I have tried but they keep wanting to charge me, I am a FunPass member so these points mean nothing to me, but my grandkids would love some of these games.

I've stayed out of this coin flap since It really means nothing to me. I check in almost everyday and if GH at some point rewards me with a free game for merely saying hi, well then hooray for me!!. As far as the Amazon gift card part of the deal I am ambivalent to it. What made me chime in was the response from wbeal who stated that while the Amazon promo was gone that GH is contemplating other alternatives. That's a laugh. I for one am still looking for the betterments promised by GH over 2 years ago. One is the revamping of these chat areas that would make navigating them easier. Another is implementing a private chat section so friends can share information ( such as an exchange of email addies ) that would be foolish to give out in an open forum. A third was making more avatars available for those who want them

I had to continue this as I surpassed the 1000 character limitation which is another pain in the butt that Gh has repeatedly told us would be changed. A friend who is very adept at computer programming told me the improvements I mentioned are easy to accomplish. What frustrates me more and more is comments such as wbeal made sound like it's just lip service. We all know that GH is not in the same league as BFG but those of us who are here is because we like it here. Come on GH, throw us more than a bone every now and then.

Hi Poppa,

You can surpass the way of writing more then one message to have your say. Write your whole text. Mark the text except the first word (you can't send a blank message) with the left mouse button and right click it and cut it. Send it. Go under your message and choose the "edit this post" button, right click and paste your text into the message. Send it again.

I am new to all of this and am only a fun ticket subscriber. I left another game sight because I was tired of Dark and Dreary games. I came here mostly for the Emily Games and am glad I did for the most part. My biggest complaint is only Premium and Platinum Games for a very long time. I like the regular editions and won't be playing the others except as a trial till the regular editions are available. Now that I have the games I want here, coins or no, I may search for another gamesite yet again. Why do these sights have to play these types of crazy search and find games. When I came to GameHouse I thought I had finally found the Game Site that would work for me. Now I wonder. Oh and as for the Reward Coins, they show up but are not useable for the games I want. So they are not a factor in deciding if I stay a member or move on. Makes my brain ache trying to figure it all out.

My thoughts on the Rewards -- I was a funpass member before the rewards. Sure, it felt kind of good getting that first (now only) Amazon gift certificate, but $25 isn't going to make or break me, so, OK, no more gift certificates. I'm still a funpass member for the same reason I was before there were Rewards.

Now, as for badges--I get little to no gratification from looking at badges. However, I've said before and I'll say again (for some reason or other) that why isn't our Reward "level" marked by our name instead of a playing card? I would like to know where I stand compared to other people even though I know I won't win any races because, although I lurk several times a day at this forum, I don't download too many games.

Publicly posting levels might even "out" some of the people who just come to the forums to badmouth GH or advertise another game company. I mean, really, how many loyal GH customers are just discovering platinum games??? Cards just count forum posts. Levels count all kinds of things.

So, what I wanna know, Poppa, is what Level are you? If I remember right (can't see my level as I write this), I think I'm about 16.

As for GH not being in the same league as the slimy eel co., I'm sort of a root for the underdog person, especially when the underdog treats me well.

While I'm blowing my mouth off (when I should be on my way to work), I'll add something else here. REVIEWS should count for something. But then we get to the problem of is "Great game i loved it" or "Worst game I ever played" a review or not. The only time I write reviews anymore is when I have some major downtime (which is seldom) because a good review takes time, not only in the writing but in the gameplay in prep to write the review. Well, enough of that topic. Credit for writing reviews--bad idea.

Now I'll have to use Lagoona's technique to post this as I'm sure I'm over 1000 characs. And then off to work ~~~

Totally agree, I love Funpass because I can play all the games I want, had it before rewards and will continue to do so. Rewards were nice, but the games are what I stay with GH for. I've been here for a number of years and have not had one single problem

Bad surprise finding out there are no more Amazon cards. I don't want any free games because I have 5 credits now I don't know what to do with. I like Hidden Object games, but the ones GH is offering are of dismal quality. With my credits and the free games I will get ..... there aren't even enough games I want, so it doesn't pay to have them keep charging my card every month.

Poppa, If you're logged in you'll see the toolbar at the bottom of the front page, and there you'll see a number in a star on the far left of the toolbar. That's the level I'm referring to. I checked. Yup, I'm level 16.

So gamehouse is not up to the other well known site.
Gamehouse is part of real networks which includes many other sites.
The other site cannot carry gamehouse games and gamehouse can not carry their games.
A lot of dvelopers have grown and are keeping their games on their site longer.
Some developers have folded that use to send games here.

I was pretty iritated when I saw they no longer offered Amazon gift cards. Now as a Fun Pass member there is really nothing for us to use all these points for. I suggested that they let us use so many points for a Platinum game each month. I have over 88,000 points. Yes, we do get all games or majority free, but like I told them at Customer Service is that it really isn't fair that we have no way of redeeming ours. One lady even had the nerve to tell me to buy a $6.99 subscription so I could then use them on their games! I'm like you are making big bucks from Fun Pass people so giving us a certain amount to spend on a Platinum game would be a nice thank you. I said they could make it so many thousands of points to buy one. I won't give up my membership because of this, but again, it would be nice if they say charged 50,000 points per Platinum or even per month since some games don't come out with a regular game for some time. Fun Ticket members can use 2 tickets to buy Platinum/Premium games for free! So go ahead and use them. I am a big hidden object fan so do love this site for that. I have tried finding other sites for games we don't seem to get here, but none for the price and getting them free. If anyone knows of them please let me know. Most are $7/mo and you only get a discount similar to a Fun Ticket subscription.

Come on GH. It's bad enough that we all need to see ads on the homepage and elsewhere but I guess GH needs the revenue from any source it can muster. But please keep the ads out of the forums. The post immediately before this one from Ralph is uncalled for. It should have already been deleted. Allowing these
things can only alienate GH clients.

I clicked on the "inappropriate" button and GH personnel must have been on at the same moment because the page reloaded and ralph's post was gone. GH is usually pretty quick about deleting spam when it's reported.
