RealArcade members coming to GameHouse November 12, 2009!

Hello GameHouse customers!

Great news. If you haven’t seen the announcement on our site, let me be the first to tell you that we’re taking all the best features from our two sites – GameHouse and RealArcade – and combining them into one site on November 12. Doing this is allowing us to give you more games, better membership options with no commitments, forums and more.

Aside from all the great new features, the good news for you is it all comes with no extra costs. Our membership package prices are remaining the same - $6.99/month to own your games with FunTicket and $19.99/month to borrow from our entire catalog.

In case you didn’t see the email, I’ve attached a copy below. As always, please let me know if you have any questions or comments. I’d love to hear ‘em.

Thanks for playing!

GameHouse and RealArcade
The best games – now under one roof.

We are truly thrilled to share some great news with you. In the near future, we are combining GameHouse and RealArcade—our two popular game websites—into one site to give you a larger game selection, more value, and the best features from both sites—all under one roof at GameHouse.com.

We’re really excited about the improvements you’ll see, including:

· More games: Play over 900 high-quality games, with new games added weekly.

· More value: Choose the money-saving membership right for you:
- With a FunTicket membership, get a free game credit every month, plus save 65% on all additional game purchases.
- With a FunPass membership, get unlimited play of 900+ games, and save 65% on games.

· More features: Enjoy fun new features, some of which you’ve already seen on the site: expanded forums, improved account management, and lots more.

· More choices: Play your way at GameHouse: Mac or PC. Own the game or just borrow from our catalog. Play to engage or to get away from it all. The choice is yours.

What happens next?

There’s no need for you to do anything. Starting sometime soon, when you visit GameHouse you’ll see the RealArcade logo added to the top of our site, along with messages to welcome RealArcade members to the site. Rest assured that your GameHouse account will not be affected in any way – you’ll simply have more games to choose from, plus a bunch of fun new features.

We value your membership, and we take it very seriously. In fact, it drives everything we do. We’re excited about this opportunity to provide you with even more fun and games, and we really think we’re changing the game for the better. Want to check out all of the improvements? Take a take a tour of what’s new at: www.gamehouse.com/tour.

Thanks for playing,

The GameHouse Team

What about my purchased FunPass games? I had an RA account that I cancelled in favor of Gamehouse and BigFish. I had purchased many games, some of which I paid full price for and others I got on the FunPass. My computer has a small hard-drive, and to save space I uninstalled several of the RA games because I could get them from my account at any time.

What will happen to those games now? I don't want to lose them. Should I go to RA and redownload all the games I want to keep for sure?

yeah, this is cool.
But, idk, I can't afford $20.00 a month thou. That's just to much money to pay. Free is what I'm looking for, or cheaper. Sorry

The $19.99 is only for Fun Pass which gives you access to the entire library. If you're looking for a more affordable option Fun Ticket is only $6.99 a month. This gives you one game per month, and all others can be purchased at 65% off the regular price. Also, if you would like you can sign up for Game Pass over at RealArcade which is $9.99 per month and once this change goes live you will get two games per month with the same ability to get the discount on additional purchased games.
We also will continue to have the free daily game, and while that is ad-supported, it is a full version game for free every day Hope that helps!

Hi there So, your games will come over in the process once the change has been made. When it is made and you go to log in to RealArcade for the first time it will walk you through the process which is quite simple actually. But at the end of all of that you will be on the GameHouse site. There will be an entire section in your account that is dedicated to your RealArcade games even if they are not downloaded on to your machine. In addition, there will be another section for your GameHouse games. Hope that helps clear things up. You do not need to go download all of your games....we've taken care of that for you

Many years ago I was a member of realarcade. I cancelled my membership because of the "use it or lose it" mentality with regard to game credits. I am very pleased with Gamehouse and would be disappointed to find out that aspect of RA was going to be adopted. I appreciate being able to wait for games that I really want.

I just merged my Real Arcade account & 15 of my games are no longer available - what now? There was no warning that this could happen. I have over 90 games with Real Arcade.

Hi there Mommalin -- First of all...thank you so much for participating in the Beta process. We need people like you to help us iron all of the glitches out of the process for everyone else. Glitches such as this one. Which brings me to my second point. If you haven't already conducted the survey that accompanied the experience you should find a link or an email in there to get support help for your games. If not, please email newrabeta@real.com and they will help you get all situated as quickly as they can.
Thanks again for participating and I'm sure we can get this straightened out ASAP!!

So after the merger takes place, can I pay $9.99 a month here and get 2 game credits? And I don't think I saw a response to the question whether or not the 'use it or lose it' mentality will continue. Can we saved unused credits month to month?

I had also been a member of RA a year or so ago and had 16 games. They have moved 7 over, but the other 9 have not been moved yet. I am worried about losing them and the option of redownloading. I have received 2 e-mails telling me they have moved them, but they are not there.

I've been paying 5.99 for my gamehouse membership. Yet I see it's now 6.99? I understand prices going up but this came at the same time that we were informed of the amalgamation of Realarcade and Game house, and told that nothing would change.
Also, you said in the notice that we would now have 2 game credits but I noticed that Real arcade members pay 9.99. Will we be given that option also or will we only have the one game credit as always.

The two credit option only applies to RealArcade members who have migrated their account over to Gamehouse. For those RealArcade members who bought games but didnt subscribe to GamePass, those customers were given a one time chance to sign up to GamePass to benefit from the 2 credit deal. If you did not , then there is no turning back and you will have to join at the regular $6.99 price. But theres a great deal! All games after your free credit only cost $6.99 a piece with no maximum limit of games you can buy ( ecommerce system purchase limits per day to help deter fraud and other safety reasons I knew RealArcade had a hard limit of 4 purchases per day.)

Like I said in the other posting, If you have a RealArcade account and didnt subscribe yet you will have a once time chance to do so once your migration completed. If you did not then you will pay the standard $6.99 a month plus $6.99 for each additional game you purchase

Will the $9.99 Game Pass be cancelled and the new $6.99 rate take effect automaticaly? Should we go to RA and cancel the Game Pass?

Well its been a couple years since I have been at R/A. It it is an accident that I stumbled over here. I am not a serious chatter and don't hang out in forums much. But once in awhile I'll skim through and see something interesting. I have not checked out the rules for posting and Ii am just learning how to navigate . If I were to ask a question it would be as to where these rules are. I am sure I'll find them. probably skipped right over it. Oh well, anyway I am Lisa aka I'm Da Mamma and I had it way before the show "The Land Before Time. Briefly about me, I am very opinionated an love a good debate, compared to mud slinging (although that is fun sometimes too LOL). I believe in prayer and God and have conservative values. And what brings me here? Well the games of course. Thanks for the welcome. TTFN. Lisa.

I found the rules. Yikes. New question is there a my posts button? or My friends?

Just noticed LJ is here Shouting out HEY GIRL!

Hi, Imdamama... nice to meetcha. I've landed here from the RA forum also. Not sure that I recall a Lisa from there, but now, youdamama! Lol.

And I don't think the question was ever answered re: if the credits expire monthly, or are usable whenever, and if/when they expire. I'd like to know that also.

I like this new set up, but it's kind of confusing. Customer Service is not the same. It's all good, because I get 2 free games a month -- instead of one.

finally beeen verified so can use the forums. Have registered with GH I think, so should be getting the 2 games per month.. I hope, though my subscription has been annual, so not sure. All games appear to have transferred, or be accessible so not real complaints, apart from finding the advertts in the free games a real drag!

Ardent gameplayers know the most popular game sites and are probably members at several. I liked RealArcade, I don't like GameHouse. I'm trying to stick it out to see if it gets better. RealArcade was such a cut above this site. If this merger was to get RealArcade members to join FunPass, then you insult our intelligence! There is a site that charges half the price of FunPass for the same service! To add to this insult you have released a game you expect us to pay $19.99 for. Do you think we'll say, "Oh well, I may as well buy the FunPass, then I can play this game and all the other games on the site." WRONG!!!! I will not be manipulated like that! The new Mortimer game is a bomb! I would have preferred to pay a dollar or two more as a RealArcade member (with a few incentives) than to gain an extra game credit here at GameHouse. This merger is on the same level as the NBC fiasco.
