Working at Gamehouse

I was debating on whether to post such a question here, but could find no other alternate forum to ask.

I have noticed Gamehouse posting job positions and was very curious as to the level of actual "in house" development skill is needed, or if other factors play a more crucial or accepted role in gaining a position.

What I mean is, I have the necessary training and diplomas, spanning from New Media Studies, to Digital Animation/Special Effects, Video Game Design and Development to name a few, but I have zero in house experience.

1)Is it at all, in the realm of possibility, that someone has a shot of gaining an entry level position without previous studio credentials?

2)There is no "careers" section on Gamehouse that I could locate, what is the most acceptable way to contact or supply any sort of demo reel?Website, CD, Screens?

3) Flash and Photoshop, are these the only ones that should be showcased by an individual?

4)Does Gamehouse encourage new, inexperienced, talent?

Hi KPearce, and welcome to the GameHouse Community Forums.

Thanks for your questions; we appreciate your interest in joining us!

I can't speak to specifics because I don't know which job postings you have seen. No doubt the job postings include qualifications for the position, as well as direction on how to submit an application, so I'll encourage you to apply for any job that interests you and for which you feel qualified.

And while GameHouse.com does not have a section devoted to job postings, we are a division of RealNetworks and you can visit the Careers section there.

Hope that helps -- best wishes to you on your career path!

Bill
