By the way, I tried to get help from somebody in India (named Michael, yeah right) and just got more frustrated because I had to keep repeating what I needed help with! Just because they speak our language does not mean they UNDERSTAND it. He didn't like that comment - but did not deny it, either.

Anyway I know this is very long and I am sorry; however, I truly hope some person out there can and will help me. I hope I have described the problem so it is understood. In a nutshell, when I try to type my name, so I can play, nothing happens. It is blank. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Linda

P.S.
Another little gem is that if I try to open 'Jewel Quest Solitaire' or 'Jewel Quest Solitaire III' my computer FREEZES.

Do you talk to and about all customer service people this way or only people you think are in India? Bigotry really stinks, you know.

You can always ask to talk to somebody else. It also depends on when you call.
If nothing is happening when you try to play a game it might be blocked someplace on your computer.
It might be your firewall or your antivirus.
You can send them an email.
Customes Support here is very good.

are you always so rude about people?

if you don't want to talk to customer services you can use live chat, which I found very useful

While the language used here may seem to be "rude", the fact of the mattter is that customer service is, by definition, about helping the customer. If companies really want to provide adequate CS, then they should develop a service staff that the customers are comfortable with. If customers are having problems understanding the staff, then the company is failing to provide adequate customer service. I agree that the live chat help is really good here, and I think that using that avenue may be helpful. By the way, many people are suffering in a horrible economy that has millions of people without jobs, yet many of our biggest corporations have outsourced CS jobs overseas. When people react with hostility to their experiences with these services, we should consider the larger picture.

All I can say and I want to say the people that you talk to have such an accent that it is so hard to understand. And there name is Dave or Mike or whatever..They try to be very helpful.I guess my point is if I have a hard time trying to figure out what they are saying is causes me stress. And if your having a problem you need help with the accent makes it really hard,at least for me.I was on the phone once a year ago and I spent half the time saying sorry what did you say.I don't think it's to much to want to talk to someone I can understand or who understands me.It has nothing to do with being a bigot. But this is JMO

Customer support here is very good and very helpful.
We have called them and a number of times over different things and always had a positive experience.

Hi Yanks2638,
Have you tried logging into your Anti Virus, Anti Spyware, (possibly firewall) program BEFORE you play a game? I ask because I have mine set extremely tight and secure!! But it helps if I log into it before I play each game for the first time. Then it sees that permission has been granted for each game, including the necessary access to your registry so that the game can "remember" where you left off. Then you should be able to play your game the net time. If not, you' really should contact the company of your Anti virus program.
If you try how I do it, please let me know if it works for you or not. I'm curious and hopeful.

Here's to Happy Gaming,

njamba
