Out of context, we say some weird things~~~

When I'm reading some posts I think about how strange some of what we say would sound to ppl who don't know what we're doing. For example, here's a line I just posted to someone:

go fast and hit the bird cage

Do you have or come across any funny ones?

Hi Yusef,

That is funny and made me laugh out loud!

I have here two cases of fellow gamers, where I enjoyed reading their messages, which has enchanted a smile on my face, when I was picturing the written words:

The help button I've been using, ( and needing), now just makes a noise, turns purple, then back to green and does no helping.

My character is a nudist?
Has anyone else had this problem? I can buy clothes, but if I go home and click "get dressed," my character shows up in her underwear and I can't access any clothes. She then goes about her daily business in her tightie whities, and her charm meter stays at zero, which is understandable.

Please just read and think about it. I don't want that this message gets a new attack ground for different opinions. Have in mind also, that English is not my mother tongue, so please forgive my mistakes, thanks!

We are in the start of the Year 2012.

We know all; it will be a year with a lot of nature playing up. Global Warming. Change of Gravity: The moon is moving slowly away from the earth. The earth axis is moving as well.

A Unique Spatial Arrangement: Not long ago, scientists studying the Universe through a telescope saw two gigantic, symmetrical spheres appear in the sky. The astronomers were using a very powerful space telescope called the Fermi telescope.
Without their state-of-the-art equipment, they couldn't have seen this extraordinary and unique phenomenon. The Fermi telescope can detect gamma rays, which are extremely powerful and contain a huge amount of energy. Gamma rays are produced by particles traveling at very high speeds interacting with light.
The perfectly symmetrical arrangement of the two galactic spheres is unique, and heralds huge upheavals in the coming year that will affect us all. All spatial phenomena have an influence on our Earthly existence, but some are stronger than others.
The discovery was made by a team led by Professor Doug Finkbeiner of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, in Cambridge (USA). He and his team isolated the two spheres, which were emitting huge amounts of high-energy gamma rays. The scientists had never seen anything like it before. The fact that the two spheres were symmetrical indicated they had the same volumes and forms. This kind of "doubling" rarely happens in the Universe.
These two perfectly symmetrical spheres are emitting vibratory energy that sweeps across the Universe, and inundates the Earth. The effects might start to appear at the beginning of 2012, and eventually alter the rotation of the Earth itself, causing huge climactic changes. This might slow down the Earth's rotation, but just a fraction.

Let us all at least make peace, wherever we can and give our best shot to keep it.

I know you have different political opinions, I also know, that you two have different backgrounds and different ways of expressing yourselves and it is not easy to debate a topic based on these facts. There are also other factors coming into the picture as being the winner. That is to convince the other to get the same view. Fear of loosing, that is drifting away from the topic and getting personal and hurting each other! Now the big chain reaction starts, you hurt me, I hurt you back etc.

So please, please guys treat each other with more respect and think also about that scenario, how boring the world would be, if we all would be the same and have the same opinions, thoughts, feelings and act the same way!

Embrace each others differences. You don't have to agree with each other. Just accept the other as a human being with his own mind, thoughts and feelings. This challenge might make you stronger and you might find something essential for your life journey.

I am not judging one of you two, or both. What I write is just my personal opinion and I resent, your ways of communication, when I read your personal attacks towards each other, it hurts as if it would happen to me. So your doing is not only a thing between you two, when you drag it out on public, but it can impact other readers of your messages in one way or the other.

I appreciate your sentiment concerning the obvious diametrical differences that Russ and I have. What galls me about Russ is his inability to add anything to the conversation. While I offer opinions which I believe are based in fact, all he offers in response are ill-thought out attacks . That is why in another post in another section of the Lounge, I told Russ that I would in the future refrain from attempting an intelligent debate with him. It's an unfair fight when I have a loaded intellectual gun and the other guy has an empty pistol. All I ever wanted from the man is that he expound on his views with concrete evidence to support the position. He is either incapable or unwilling to do either. While one man states views ( that's me ) the other dude only rants and raves ( that's him )

First off got to say that global warming is a lie from the multimillionaire Al "count the chad" Gore who lives in a 20,000 sq ft mansion in Tennessee. There is no global warming and the scientist who were coerced into saying it was are now recanting their stories.

Why do we have to get into who was banned and who wasn't.
Some of us have been banned from one forum, or another at one time.
So what do we have to be reminded of it all the time.
People are not perfect, they don't speak just the way that we might want to hear.
We have different opinions.
Some people know just what to say while others.
Other just want to stir the pot and keep it boiling until it overflows.

What does go fast and hit the bird cage mean. I have never heard that.

I have heard of this: if you haven't got anything nice to say than don't say it.

I have personally never been banned from any chatroom. THere is one major one, you all know which it is, wherein I have imposed a self-exile. Primarily because it would not allow the repartees that Russ and me have had over time. All they want is " Yippee!! Grizelda is a guppy !! "

I'm also starting to feel a bit sorry for the one out of the ashes as he seems to be a perpetually unhappy sort.

How can anyone who works and pays taxes be happy when you libs are trying to take more and more to pay for your socialist agenda. How can you be happy when millions of babies have been murdered. How can you be happy when your buying oil from the people who hate us instead of being self sufficient? Oh......I know how you can be happy....because your one who thinks the government should take care of all your needs. What are you doing about them? What might you be doing to solve.
I can't agree with you when you say that the government is paying those getting social security checks what they need.
Take me for instance. I am an amputee, who was is now social security.
Since I am not 65 yet, I cannot get the medicaid that I did have to pay for my diaabetic medicine that I need.
Insurance would cost me too much money a month plus the deductible.
I'm sorry but the news media needs to get out and go into Lousiana, Tennesssee, Alabama where they would see people who are in need of food and shelter.
The government should not be taking of this, It is up to the people to feed the hungry, give shelter where needed, and cloth the naked.
This is a game forum and we should be talking about games and not politcal points of view.

Lagoona, for English not being your Native tongue, that is a very prolific statement. We are all people...you don't have to agree on everything, nor like everyone. However, you should treat people with respect and remember that this is a public forum where others are subjected to your posts. There are more constructive ways to get your point across without being nasty.

You missed the point of my post. You are not paying for m;y medicine. I am.
As far as social security. Are you working right now?
When you pay your taxes, you are also paying social security so that one day you will be able to collect on what you have paid in.
Are you aware that if you have not paid anything, you can not get social securit;y at all.
You also missed the fact that I am disabled, since losing my leg.
Social Security is for those people who have paid on their security during the time that they have been working.
If you have never worked at all, you can not collect anything. There is nothing to base your wages on.
How much do you think that people collect in social security.
Then they have to pay their rent, power bill, phone, buy food and groceries, then medical.
Why do you think that so many people are turning to the government to help them.

If you haven't figured him out yet, Russ is merely a mean spirited SOB who cares not a whit about his fellow man. He claims to be a good christian and then spouts nothing but venom here and I'm sure elsewhere as well.
Jesus once said that we are our brothers keepers. Apparently Russ has no brothers and he sure ain't ever going to be a keeper. So this is very unchristian. Russ' bible is actually the gospel of foxnews. His favored disciples are Hannity, Beck, Buchanan and Limbaugh. While most of us have empathy for your condition he will criticize those attempting to enable you.

Yes Jesus said that we are our brothers keepers, He doesn't say that the government welfare state is. All the libs can do is call us conservatives names to try to dismiss the fact that they are spending our grand children's pay. I am also disabled, and an American Veteran,I do not collect SS or disability from the state or federal welfare programs. I set up my own insurance and when I got hurt I was prepared. FYI I have a brother who lost his leg and he is more active then he was before. Mountain climbing, riding bikes, hiking and much more. P demonizes me as uncompassionate but I prefer to think of it as tough love.

P's answer for everything is to suck on the government;s teet to survive, mine is to trust in He who is maker and creator of all things and He will provide for our needs according to his riches in glory. P refuses to acknowledge Him because he is a liberal socialist and believes in taking from the rich to feed the poor. Then what is the incentive for trying to prosper if it is only going to be taken away? Which leads to more people on welfare. It is spinning out of control. We need to stop spending and balance our budget.Lord knows if I don't have money in the bank and write a check I get a hefty fine, but P thinks the government can do this with our taxes and if we don't have enough we can just borrow more from China.I encourage you to have faith in God and not be drawn into the lies of the idol called big government.
