Just curious. What is your favorite innerd? I like chicken hearts boiled or fried. Good liver and onions. I have cooked beef and deer hearts. Alittle on the dry side, but pure meat. I think pig liver is better than beef liver. If you like kidneys I hope you boiled the P... out of them..

I never grew up eating organ meats ydoi but frankly when I eat hotdogs I'm sure there's alittle of those things in there, and since I'm having chili dogs tonight I'm leaving that right here. However, just the other day I saw an intresting meat in the meat section and on the package it said "Rocky mountain oysters" and I asked hubby what kind of meat it was and when he told me I could'nt believe it so I asked the meat manager and he confirmed it in a nicer way I guess but I was totally . Man, I need to get out more!

Gross, I almost hurled thinking about eating this stuff. I feed these parts to the dog. Do you ever watch food network where they eat all that weird stuff? How about a chicken uterus? Or Balute (?) a chicken egg that has been fertilized. What about hog balls? Rocky mountain oysters.
My wife loves liver and onions and I get nauseous every time I cook it for her. I am the quintessential meat and potatoes man.

I've always liked liver and onions; or liver, grapes, and rice, but I haven't had it in years and years! Next time I'm "alone," I'll have to indulge myself. Now that's mighty kind of ya, Russ, to cook something for your wife that grosses you out. Takes a special kinda guy to do that. Lol, candy... I'm dyin' to know how the grocer worded that.

Gizzards are tasty to. They use to have big jars of pickeled gizzards in the bars, but haven't seen any in years. We use to make alot of home-made sasuage and for that we used the intestines of sheep for the casings. At least I think it was sheep. Putting them casings on the sausage maker was so much fun!

I'm with sofed. Organ meats have never passed my lips and never will. Were I dying of hunger and someone offered me liver to stay alive, I'd need to think really hard before deciding to munch or take the eternal dirt nap.

the thread got me to thinking.....have any of you seen the TV show BIZARRE FOOD on the Travel channel? The host, Andrew Zimmern, is a short fat bald dude who travels the world and will eat absolutely anything. In the years I have watched this fun show, he has only spit out about 3 thing.
