This is something that will change depending on age, gender, marital status, income, and locale. I've heard "Men are from Mars, Woman are from Venus", but the debate goes on. So here's the question...
.....How would you describe a 'romantic' evening?

(please remember the rules when giving your answer, lol)

Thank You for any and all input.

Well, I consider a romatic evening as exactly what I'm doing now. Sitting on my computer with hubby watching his favorie show right beside me. The reason I say that's romantic is because we left all of the stress of being outside and dealing with the general public far behind and we're doing what we each like to do. We wave at each other across the room and when I pass him he grabs me and rubs my aching back {trying to keep this clean} for a few minutes or slaps my backside, and it's wonderfull because we're both relaxed and happy. If we go out to eat, like say, on our anniversary or some occasion, it's stressfull to deal with crowds, rude people, some waitors, and traffic. No way to be romantic in all of that. I love this kind of night when there's nothing in particular to do. By the way, Room, answer your ?

Hm, a romantic evening. Just me and my Kenny, and we're having a simple dinner by the water on a beach (I'm thinking of one in Jamaica), maybe conch fritters and Mahi-mahi, with two beautiful drinks. The sun is starting to set in a myriad of soft yet blazing colors, and he pulls out a flower the color of deep coral and puts it in my hair. I look in his eyes, and they're as blue as the sky still bright above the sun, and we smile without a care in the world and our hearts are light. He takes my hand and we walk along the shore, waves lapping at our feet, and a beautiful blue shell with the inside like a pearl washes up in front of me, and I pick it up and he says he'll have it made into a necklace for me. All that exists in that moment is the sound of the waves, our laughter, and the bright blue shell.
Goodness! I have a fever, so forgive my meanderings.

Thats ok, sofed, happiness means different things to people. For instance I know a lot of people who say having several children in the house is happiness and they thrive on all of the commotion associated with that but I say my nerves will be shot in an hour of that. I have two friends that each have 9 grandchildren and they're house is a madhouse to me. I can't wait to get back into my clean uncluttered house with my 4 dogs and peace and quiet.
