Other than the ridiculous TV ads about the wonder drugs who's side effects are often worse that the conditions they are supposed to alleviate, what are examples of ads that leave you shaking your head.

For me whenever I see a spot about cosmetics that allegedly help restore the youthfullness and vitality of the skin and the models used are all 20 something gals who are also drop dead gorgeous.....GET REAL MAN!!!

The ads touting contraptions that will get our bodies into shape and the examples show guys with 12 pack abs, muscles galore and gals born to be in bikinis, I just shake my head. Use models who obviously need the machinery being touted. I got it all over the dudes with the 12 packs. I have the whole keg. GET REAL MAN !!

What ads leave you in disbelief?

The Shakeweight does not even look like an exercise tool they they portray it in the video, but I will stop it right there as I do not want to violate the forum rules

Lol, so true, poppa... the only difference in the "before and after" pictures of the youth creams is that in the after picture the model is smiling (and has make-up on) and in the before picture she's not and doesn't. Has nothing to do with the product at all. Let's face it, when you age, you age. Nothin's gonna change it except the knife (which most sane people would never do), and the knowledge that when you feel good and smile, you look naturally look better.

And as for the exercise equipment, sure, it might help if you use it 23 hours a day, AND get liposuction and a tummy-tuck, AND loose 50 pounds. Viola... the miracle. Makes me hoot. (and gotcha, wolvie, you naughty boy)

I know I could add some ads here, but my memory escapes me... I'll have to watch TV tonight. I know a few have had me gagging lately.

All the feminine hygiene adds make me feel uncomfortable and they make me think of the pond. LOL.
Do you remember the weight loss commercial that said one of the side effects was "gas with oily discharge" EWWW in other words if you take the pill you will crap your pants.
A funny one was this guy going through the grocery store with his kid who is being a real terror, the commercial was for condoms LOL

I hate the ads that want us to suspend our intelligence even if it's for a few seconds. Saw one last night where a lady is at the airport and she has her kid in a dog carrier because animals fly cheaper than people. THe really stupid part is the ad has nothing to do with airfare rates, rather it's a cell phone ad. THe mom decided to cut costs on her kid's airfare so she could find a way to mitigate the high cost of her cell phone contract. This ad is so insulting to my thought processes that I would never consider using that cell company even if it were free.
