I down loaded Dracula Love Kills. I got to the end of the game where you install the gears and the ships wheel, and I got a stop error. Come to find out, the end of this game down loads MANY TROJANS, WATCHOUT! CAN SOME ONE TELL ME HOW TO FIX MY COMPUTER?

How did you come to find this out? What happened to your computer?

I made many phone calls, and got ahold of microsoft and they told me this after running on event viewer. I now have a really slow computer. I can't afford the program to fix it. I did delet all the programs & files that had anything to do with the game.

I highly doubt those outsourced call representitives at Microsoft came to the right conclusion as this is the case with any tech support center which is outsourced to many other countries.

Second of all if you got a stop error in a game while playing it , IT IS NOT A VIRUS. It usually means the game tried to perform a function incorrectly in which your graphics card did not handle the request and that is the normal behavior of Direct X.

Download WinUtilities free. See if that helps.

Adding: Also, many people use CCleaner. It's also free.

Thank you for your info, I will try it. I shared my screen with micro soft and they did a cmd.exe and I saw it my self right there on the screen, it saying what caused the problem.

Gamehouse games are completely clean and virus-free. I trust them implicitly. However the problem of 'false positives' (where individual files in a game are wrongly flagged as containing viruses due to similarities in text) is a longstanding one and pretty common. Just the other day, Age of Empires (which I've had on my PC for years) suddenly got flagged as a trojan by AVG - and that's a Microsoft game, so even their own products can throw up false positives!

As Wolverine says, sounds more like DirectX to me, just your graphics card having a splutter at the end-game cinematics most likely, which is nothing to worry about in itself. I don't know why your computer would be running slowly now, but whatever the reason, that is more likey to be the CAUSE of the game crashing rather than the other way round. If it is due to a trojan it certainly won't have come from a GH game.

GH employees have a GH logo by their name. This is a sad thing to say to Suki who has supported you from the beginning and is trying to help you again. Well, I assume it's Suki you're addressing because your post comes right after hers.

No need to be sorry. You should send a screen shot to GH. Also, sounds like you might get the kind of help you're looking for on a Microsoft forum. Good luck. Hope you can get your computer speeded up.

No, actually I think I must be Gamehouse's least favourite customer, as I'm always complaining! But I trust them totally on being virus and trojan-free, and I've been a member for a LOT of years.

I just thought I'd clue you in on the 'false positives' thing, as it's a very common problem which long-standing members are familiar with but often gives newbies a bit of a scare. Not sure why you took it badly - I was aiming for helpful and reassuring, maybe I didn't throw in enough smileys...
