AS WE GET OLDER CONCLUSION

I am so blessed to have lived long enough to have my hair turning gray, and to have my youthful laughs be forever etched into deep grooves on my face..
So many have never laughed, and so many have died before their hair could turn silver.

As you get older, it is easier to be positive. You care less about what other people think. I don't question myself anymore.
I've even earned the right to be wrong.

So, to answer your question, I like being old... It has set me free. I like the person I have become. I am not going to live forever,
but while I am still here, I will not waste time lamenting what could have been, or worrying about what will be. And I shall eat dessert every single day(if I feel like it).

MAY OUR FRIENDSHIP NEVER COME APART ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S STRAIGHT FROM THE HEART!
Forward this to at least 7 people and see what happens on your screen . You will laugh your head off!!!!!!!!!!!

Ira, that was simply beautiful! (sorry you had to break it up) Thanks so much for posting it, me friend... it's so easy to get down in the dumps over petty things and forget to live the beauty of each moment and abandon the fear of criticism from others. Bless you, good sir, for the reminder!

Thx, ira... anyone can write beautiful words... you wrote them about the squirrels! Any thought from the heart is beautiful, no matter how it's worded. Yeah, I saw you had to break it into three parts, so I commented on the final one.

And don't worry so much... I'm sure your posts will be fine. The rules just say no political, sexual, or religious/ethnic jokes or discussions, but I know yours was innocent. Just wasn't sure what they'd say... perhaps nothing, but just thought I'd warn ya. So keep posting with merry abandonment! lol

Thnaks Ira. I have been down on myself this past year. Now I have decided to make each day better than the one before.

Thank you so much for posting that. It actually made me feel better about things. You never know what small thing you might write that touches someone thousands of miles away. My new resolution is to stop trying to please everyone and please myself this year.

Good one, candylv! Let's face it... if you're not at peace with your own self, it's impossible to truly help others anyway. I'm not much for bumper stickers, but I saw one once that has stayed with me ever since, it touched me so: "Let Peace Begin With Me." So profoundly true. And it's things like ira shared that remind us how true it is. (and boy do we need reminders, lol)

Thank you mooma, that was a pretty welcome pic. Peace begins with me? I like that too. It seems I spend too much time explaining my way of dress, talk, actions, etc, etc. I like this board, it seems the posters really enjoy each others' company. I buy games from gamehouse all the time and never knew there was a forum untill just before Christmas. I'm not really an observant person. Now that I've found it, I love it!

Really, the forum itself is quite new... I think they started it as part of the merge with RealArcade, which I was a member of for years. So it's up to us to try and make it a positive one, being some of the first members.
